Is okay
I've forwarded your SG information to the Paragon Building Inspector and Fire Safety offices. They should have someone by your base within the week to look things over and make sure everything is brought up to code. We don't want to hear about some tragedy involving catatonic heroes sprawled all over poorly ventilated smoke filled base. You sure you didnt hire a villain for your base design ?

New group of these for sale - send a PM if you need one.
Prices in OP.

Quote:I'm not sure, but I think the OP was referring to marketeering (buying / reselling) of items. So im not sure selling of afk pvp drops counts. I've wandered across you pile of toons before, lol. Quite sneaky. How Much:
Typically I make about 1.5 billion per night, but it has gone as high as 5 billion in one night.
Lost Interest:
Not really, but lately I have slowed down a bit because my schedule doesn't allow for me to play CoX as much and I gain inf faster than I can spend it. -
I have more of these available again. My a-merit crew has just turned over the 30 mark.
Send me a PM with your global and which one(s) you would like. -

I also vote horrible idea with too little warning and ABSOLUTELY NO EXPLANATION ON HOW TO CHANGE THE SECURITY QUESTIONS before they implemented it.
On the previous two nights I was looking through my account for the security questions to change or confirm. As I sure as heck dont remember what they were. Couldnt find them, was looking in this thread the whole day for someone to post or confirm to the other previous questions. The answer didnt show up in time.
More food for thought. They are doing the promo for the 7 years of subscription. I wonder how many players are going to get the shaft here cause they couldnt access their master account and resub during this time because of the almost no warning lockouts ? Didnt they have a bunch of posts trying to alleviate current issues with folks who had to resub during this period ? Now they throw this in and almost guarantee a ton of players are going to get boned by it ?
Great scott - do they even think about what the heck they are doing ???
Heres another last tidbit for thought. Some of us are overly protective of our personal information. When I started this game 7 years ago I did NOT use my real personal information for fear of misuse of said personal information. I was fairly new to online activities, and was concerned about misuse, spam, and all the negative aspects. So made up some bogus info - started the account. Played happily ever since. Do I even have a chance to reaccess my account ? I know im not the only one who did / does that. I have a terrible feeling about this -
Does anyone know what the mez duration % reduction is when facing higher level enemies than yourself ?
My controller is level 50. If I hit a mob with a mez power (immobilize, hold, etc) how long does it last vs. enemies that are lvl 51, 52, 53, and 54 ? I know that there is a % decrease in duration vs. the higher levels. I think someone even posted #'s on it years ago, but I have no clue where to find the info anymore.

Quote:I reject your suggestion. Buh bye thanks for playing. Not many people can match 1B per enhancement, and if you can I suggest not trying to hijack someone else's bids.
edit: bump for Santorican! :P
As for not being able to match a bill - if it's one I need to perfect a build I'd be offering in the 2-3 billion range. Or even trades for other rares. So uh...yea I think I can hang. -
Yes I admit I was quite surprised when I checked the ranks. They actually burned between 150-160 billion in just a few hours. They must have gotten a wee bit upset at being passed for #1, and that we were starting to pull well away from them.

Its been said that if you are cheated when making this type of transaction that you can file a petition. It's been posted people have gotten things corrected this way. I however haven't had to do this myself, so cannot guarantee it.
But I will say if you trade with someone who has a good reputation, you are normally fine. Actually in all the times I've traded inf or transferred inf for folks back before it was universal email, I've never had anyone try and cheat me outright.
Most folks are nice and generally honest about it. Though of course that does not come with a "guarantee". -
Respec'ed some toons, turned in some A-merits, goodies available are:
Glad Armor Proc - Lvl 10 (3 Billion)
Glad Armor Proc - Lvl 50 (2.5 Billion)
Shield Wall Proc - Lvl 50 (2 Billion)
Have enough A-merits on hand to turn in for a Lvl 10 Shield Wall proc as well, or another lvl 10 glad armor proc, etc.
Send me a PM with your server and global and I'll let you know the status of items as soon as im back on. -
Umm ... you should be happy you finished. And just as importantly the members of your TF were willing to stick it out and fight to the end.
I can't tell you how many stuck up types there are, with their nose in the air about how a good team "should" run. And if you run into a wipe or two on the tough parts ... they up and just quit the team. Why ? Because they didnt immediately win. They'll blame the team.
What's sad is you can finish this TF even with a weak team. Just takes some slightly different strategy which you need to adjust as things arise. But some peeps are just spoiled and quit because it wasnt perfect. Those people piss me off.
One run I did this week our buff / debuff / heal came in the form of 2 kin controllers. Our tank was a "fire" brute. That was it. Twas a bit rough till we figured out how to handle things. It ended up being a 1:40 TF but we did finish it and everyone felt good we pulled it off.
On the flip side I did one where we blew right through everything and when we got to recluse we had our first wipe. 2 of the guys decided they are about to quit "because we didnt have it together". One f'ing wipe. And we easily had the resources to pull it off. Had to literally beg them to stay. And then we did it easily the next try at him.
You just want to pop those spoiled snots right in the face -
Quote:There's a difference between ignoring and simply knowing when something is wrong. You're simply wrong and I've stated it. I just don't feel I have to do it every single time.
I'll pretend for a moment you're not an ideologue who ignores anything contrary to your preconceived notions and reply.
Here's what I'm working from here - real in game market experience over long periods of time. Based on the way I've played the market (and I know quite a few players who use the same tactics and strategies) - I have achieved control of many different items over time, I've continued control on some items for months at a time, often longer (in two cases much longer), and profited handsomely is and understatement.
Two thoughts:
1 - Control doesnt mean I 100% control every piece that goes through. It means that I manage to flip and handle enough of the sales that I keep a consistent and strong profit.
2 - Limiting factors that would interrupt being able to do this simply comes down to resources. I don't even find luck is as big a factor as some have stated.
All I'm saying is that's simply what I've done in the market. I've consistently done what some of you are saying is not possible. I also feel that it's pretty straight forward overall. If someone tells you its not possible, but you go and do it and find it's totally possible, I would say it is in fact possible.
I also said don't bother with telling me whether you feel its worth it or not. Saying you dont find the effort worth it is simply telling me you either 1) are unwilling to commit to doing it properly, 2) dont have the resources to do it properly, 3) possibly dont really know how to do it properly. If any of those factors are correct - then your statements that its not possible are completely flawed. Because you arent able to do it for one reason or another does not mean something is not possible.
I think i'll leave it at that. -
Quote:I personally find you get a couple of those that just up and bid the "last 5". However almost every sale I make in the 500 mill and up range are with 25 to at most 50 million over what I list at. I can't remember especially in recent months seeing anyone swoop in and randomly pay me more than 50 million more what I asked. Definitely not in the realm of 100 mill or more. Usually most of my sales are within the 10-25 mill of my listing price.I also disagree with this. I have been selling things that cost 200-300M for months, and I would say there's at least a 5:1 ratio of sales where I sell at a "round" price (well above what I listed at) to times where someone buys close to my actual list price.
What, really, do you mean when you say people bid creep? When I am buying something that costs 300M inf, sure, I usually bid creep, but I do it in 10M inf increments. My experience as a seller is that not many people do even this. If they did, I wouldn't make sales at 200M, 250M, 300M, etc. nearly as often as I do in practice.
According to what you are saying I should see a bunch of random 100 to 200 mill over my asking price sales when im listing in the 500 million + range. I do not see this.
A question would be - what level of control are you trying to exert on the prices yourself ? Are you just popping items up and letting the other sellers and flippers in a particular niche help you set pricing ? Or are you proactively creating conditions to set a price ?
Quote:Or another example, rare IO recipe, lvl 35, highly coveted
126 bidding, 2 offered, last 5 trades:
51,111,111
51,111,111
150,000,000
175,000,000
51,111,111
In this case, I would see this as something I would rather buy than sell. 3 of the last 5 sales have been to a "bidder of last resort". People have been coming in and selling at sell it nao prices. If I think this is worth around 150mm or more, then I would throw in a 55mm bid or two and if I had one to sell, I'd post it around 150mm. If I think this is worth less than 51,111,111 then I would sell it to the high bidder.
You say the market is setting the price in that scenario ? With no outside influence ? No. I see 3 of the last 5 sales people were willing to offer that IO for under 50 million. However, a profiteer has stepped in to buy all the stuff that the players are willing to offer up cheaper. It actually provides a hint of what the prices on that item might be like IF no profiteer was working the item. That IO might regularly go for the 50 mill range ? Possible. Cant know for sure. We would not know unless the profiteer or (s) left the niche completely. However we do know that there are quite of few sales that would have occurred at a much lower price had someone not "bought up the low price stuff". This has forced players who did not get the lower priced items to be steered or forced to buy the much more expensive item.
It's not really that hard right ? It's a game with a closed system. We dont have players from other MMO's bringing their wares to our MMO's market and affecting conditions.
I want to ask a question. In all seriousness are you telling me you cannot achieve control of items ? I mean personally have you done it ? Can you do it ? Can you continue to do it over time ? Can you or have you profited from it ? Profited handsomely ? The question is for anybody who want to answer it ?
Can you or can you not do it ? Not whether you feel like doing it right now. Not how much work you feel you have to invest to do it ? Have you or have you not been able to achieve this for profit ? -
D-XP weekend was very generous. I did spend a bit of time positioning things during the week though. The payoff was far more handsome than i expected.
Quote:So we've seen a bit of the denial stage...is this still denial or moving into the anger stage ? I know eventually there is acceptance but cant remember all the mess in between ... It does at least fit into the wild, far fetched, and as completely untrue as you can get though. It's amazing what connections in China can do for an SG.
Tears is tears i quess. -
Quote:And I still lmao whenever you try and trot out this dribble. I often wonder if you are just that dense and really believe that, or if you are just trying to confuse those who've seen the market can be rigged into thinking it cant ?
I'm not sure how anyone could interact with the market for any length of time and come to any other conclusion. Head injury maybe?
Perhaps part of your inability to either market effectively or understand whats going on, is you often look at low cost stuff that a LOT of players dont care if they drop 100 on it or 100,000. Or 100,000 vs 1,000,000. They dont want to dink around with bid creeping, just want to get their goods and get on with the crafting, get on with playing.
However I KNOW that most players once you pass a certain threshold of value, will almost always bid creep.
Once you hit that threshold there is little inconsistency. If there's a marketeer in the niche, its often obvious. Sometimes there's a couple. Still obvious.
For crying out loud most of you all have made it your business to tell everyone how its done, what bid format identifies yourselves, and otherwise brag extensively about your monetary conquests. Am I to understand you've had ZERO influence on the prices of items in your endeavors ? That you don't flip and/or control to earn PROFIT ?
All I can say is get a grip and stop being such hysterical hypocrites. One thread there is the bragging of massive profit and controlling a niche. Next thread ... no no wait *waves hands* it was all an illusion. These are not the results you are looking for...
ROFL, i mean who do you really think you are fooling.
I know what you can do in the market. The level of control especially in valuable items is consistently reproducible. I do it daily. I do it right. I'm quite astoundingly rich from it. And I've demonstrated that as well.
On the other hand back to your head injury theory - i think the level of density in yours it quite obvious. I wonder if its possible to injure one so thick. -
Quote:Nice fantasy world you are living in. ROFL.
SELLERS ARE NOT AFFECTING PRICES.
Or maybe its better stated that your ineptitude as a seller means that YOU arent affecting prices. Letting said ineptitude sully the reputation of competent marketeers, seems to be quite silly. -
Ive been looking for lvl 53 versions of these as well as most other HO's for some time now. If you have some to sell name your price and let me know.
-
Quote:ROFL, actually that was even better to drink than the tears of denial. That one really made my day.I promise it will be the first thing I'll do as soon as the devs merge the EU and US server lists.
But in that case, all I can say is...
...what a magnificent triumph for Fulmens' visionary genius! {round of applause}
Still ROFL, ty ty *takes a bow*.
You know all I was really thinking i'd get out of ya's was a *cookie*. I simply didn't foresee how absolutely rich a couple of the reactions would be.
Quote:You know......if the '88s were to send some inf my way to catch and pass MnV's group on Freedom I'd appreciate it and put a taunt back his way in my VG description. Either way, I'm going to do my best to run him down....and as Fulmens can attest, I've been doing this for a while.
I understand most of the original interest on fulmens part was to burn inf from the game. I find for me its just more the fun of having another facet of the game to compete in. I personally dont even remotely care about achieving a high ranking for the SG. Its all about who's throwing more into it to win it. Heck, as far as i'm concerned, they could even take the SG's out of the main ranking list and create a sub list of groups with prestige count based on investments only.
Quote:It's on! -
Then you apparently didn't read the SG description, rofl. But no worries you're denial is rich to me.
I suppose some other random group dropped a massive fortune, right after I mentioned I would take up a challenge against the 88's. Of course then they suddenly decided, "hey you mean-n-v, take credit for the implementation, okay ?".
Or maybe... they are market savvy enough to build tremendous wealth in the game, but not one of them ever heard of the market forum and therefore never come here... but of course I know this some how... and can now, without worry of them calling me, out stealz all the creditz.
Or maybe ... [ please feel free to enter in your favorite colorful and wild story, so that i might drink your tears of denial ].
Btw, you have a bit more than 7 mill to make up atm. -
I just thought it would be a fun surprise to see for yourself

Quote:I missed the double dog dare post. I must've lost it in series of "nuh uh, no way posts". Thats the kind of "hurrah lets go" I was hoping to find in making this endeavor more fun anyways.
(I personally find it hard to believe you passed up the 'double-dog dare' challenge I offered you.) in this thread and take the #1 spot on Virtue, well then, I'll gnash my teeth like they have never been gnashed before!
