Me toooooo.

I deleted a toon on Victory to create another, so I could level pact it with my better half, and the slot is now locked.

Maybe someone is trying to tell me something

I like the way you think.

They nerfed the AE forcing people out into the real Paragon City.

Once these people spread their wings, and fight regular missions, and find a sorry drop rate for recipes, and a WW reflecting this drop rate......I see bad things arising.

Seems to me the Devs involved with this should form a team and spend an afternoon playing on the live servers as a real player.

But, what do I know....

Sorry to burst into this conversation, but reading what I quoted made something inside of me snap like a twig. Please, please help me understand something.
..and I am in a rage, so, if my writing is not understandable, I apologize in advance.


If IOs, and IO sets, are not needed....then please, please, please explain why when you go to the different AT forums, the builds there REQUIRE LOTG recharge IOs, plural, more than one, they REQUIRE Numinas, they REQUIRE every single IO set out there that is so expensive you are required to have billions and zillions of influence points, and I know I am being dramatic, but I feel dramatic about this...not about the cost...sellers sell at the amount buyers buy, but about the necessity of the sets

Case in point....real life example here, I would love to make a Shield scrapper...I happily went to the scrapper boards to do some homework on the subject, and found out Shields demands IOs...it will not perform well without them

Explain to me, how, in one post these IOs are REQUIRED, or your build will not work, and in other posts your builds will work WITHOUT IOS!!!!!!!!!

Which is it?????

If I go build a Dark/Shield, and solo her with a build filled with Crushing Impacts and Common IOs ....will I die in every fight because I don't have Numinas, and LOTG recharges, four of them, and, and, fight with no accuracy because I had to six slot a set of expensive IOs to get a tiny defensive bonus which I can't see, even being as rotten in math as I am, being large enough to make a difference and, and, oh Fudgesticks....my confusion over this has been building and building and I, I, did a Nova.

If someone can explain this whole mess to me, send me a PM because I am sure I am the only player here who is bitterly confused by this "You NEED IOs, You DON'T need IOs thing...

I played this game before there was a Wentworths. The builds people played were SO, DO, and TO, builds, and they worked. Now, these same builds REQUIRE a bloody fortume in IOs or they will not perform.

...Oh cornflakes, I am going to go into the game, and punch some Hellions in the nose with one of my new toons...but....oh noes my new toons just have TOs in their build, the Hellions will hit them in the nose instead.

Grin. Just don't take your Fire/Fire onto the Banished Pantheon Map at 4/8

On test, It was a glorious sight, all those yummy masks floating about, but think about the reality of it....

Consider that all these plus four mobs on a map set for eight will attack you at once...and you will get debuffed to the 9th degree, and, and, and you have to try it, at least once

Of course, if you have a billion dollar build, those critters you will come across will probably just feel like a kitten is nibbling your fingers...mine is an average Jane build, so I died.

I died gloriously, but I died.

I did this several times before I lowered the difficulty, and felt awful that I was the only scrapper who could not do the 4/8 thing.

However, on an average Jane build, Valkii, my Dark/SR did a 4/8 in a Council Radio mission and loved every bit of it.

You might want to consider a Dark/SR. You will probably declare a Jihad on her while you level her, but the first time you get two sappers sapping you at the same time, and your blue bar does not go down..you will smile and it will all be worth it.

Wait...did you just say Claws/Fire is a good choice for a scrap? I made one because I wanted another /fire toon and I had never tried Claws....but have not seen or read about that that pairing before. Did I read this right, and you did say Claws/Fire can go the distance??????

If so, I am not going to delete her....she has Bat Wings, a Pumpkin head from the Zombie Invasion,and she has spunk and attitude...and is sitting at level 15.

Sooo....is Claws/Fire a go from a solo standpoint?

Hugs. Thank you Nihilii for your input. While they spawn in groups, often a member of group A will run to group B, and all of I sudden I find I am fighting two groups at the same time....that is a lot of Banished Pantheons all at once

I always thought of ChiliCheeseDog Annie, my Fire/Fire as being the squishiest of my scraps, but the most fun...especially now that she hovers just over the bad guys heads and sends down fire upon them.

OH, and Valkii, my Dark/SR makes up for Annie. She is level 46. I pumped her up to +2/8 and took her on a mission in The Land Of The Romans...she did extremely well.

I guess the lesson learned from this is not all toons can go +4/8, and those that can, can't go +4/8 against every enemy type....and this is perfectly fine

And now that I think about it, the accuracy it takes to hit enemies four levels above you boggles my mind .

And, hmm, a few weeks ago, on live server, I got a purple drop from a minion, -1 in level to me...I remember this because he was the last in a group...and in normal play I do seem to get more drops fighting at either my level or -1.

Mayhaps fighting at -1 is nothing to be ashamed of...in some cases at least

Lisa rereads this, sits real still digesting the words she just read, then sits back in her chair, and lets out such a whoop that the cat napping at her keyboard leaps up and dashes away in panic.

This means I will have no fear of Council Water Rooms. I try to avoid all missions that I know contains that room from hell...which is sad, as avoiding them means I also avoid the missions including Vampirys and Warwolves necessary for the Atlas.

And I can't tell you how many hours I have spent tracking down one minion, or one glowie in the Circle Of Thorns maps...and talking of COT maps...that cave map with all the layers...gulp..I will shall laugh at it, and bring it to it's knees

If this one item goes through to live I will be a very, very, very, happy camper....very happy. Words fail me at how happy I will be.
