I personally would like to see some like this implemented. It would be a decided improvement!
.........
What?

Quote:.....or, whatever. I admit, its part lazyness, but I was thinking one vet power (or some other type, booster pack maybe) would be a teleport beacon. Place it in a spot you KNOW you're gonna have to go back to a lot (or maybe just your prefered day job location) and once per 30 minutes/hour you can activate your teleport beacon and zone to that spot.
Just an idea.
How about a Teleport To Node power? Basically you gain the ability to teleport to any place that a police bot or arbiter drone exists. It's almost, but not quite, a teleport to map point power.

Proto Clown says Happy Birthday!
And remember folks, Proto Clown was neither good nor evil. He had just "gone rogue"!

Quote:I personally wouldn't mind seeing them add the need to aim for ranged attacks and having to keep your opponent in your proverbial cross-hairs (i.e. facing an opponent) for melee attacks kind of like DDO. Defense and accuracy would still come into play but skill would also be a factor. The fact that hit or miss is down to a simple roll of virtual dice can, in some cases, be somewhat immersion breaking. So go play fps. I like my twitch free, cruise control gameplay thank you very much.

Quote:Isn't that an everyday occurrence anyway? On a good day, and arguably through no fault of their own, the Paragon Studios staff can expect to blamed for offending, irritating or generally pissing off a handful of people just by doing nothing. This would present an excellent opportunity for Paragon Studios to be blamed for grossly offensive behavior of a small minority of its customers.

Quote:Yeah as far as I can tell it plays out like this:This, exactly. Which makes a lot of the self-back-patting look a bit like taking credit for the sun coming up today.
No GR side switching + player market merge requests = no market merge
GR side switching + no player market merge requests = market merge
Still, it's nice that it happened.

A solid suggestion. My only change would be to rename it the Tribal Booster since that would be more generic and allow for more varied options.

Quote:I think the point that anvil is making is that the decision to merge the markets was made in the face of the upcoming Going Rogue expansion rather than in reaction to player requests or demands.2: Geko and a couple of us other regs have been battling the stupidity of segregated markets in the face of backward devs and uninformed players for as long as there has been a market. We have absolutely had an impact on the debate, as merging went from a fringe belief promoted by a handful of lunatics to a widely accepted solution to Black Market problems..
So while this is a fortuitous turn of events for the pro-merger folks, it cannot be said to have been brought about as a result of their campaigning.

Quote:9. Considering the vast amount of resources required to retrofit voice acting into the existing game system; there are any number of other things that the player base would like to see Paragon Studios and NCSoft implement to continue improving the game.
Why not to do it:
1. Cheesy Voice Acting
2. Legal Issues
3. Potential immersion breaking as a player who RPs their Brute as a Hero gets called "Villain" all the time.
4. Repetitive voice actors. The same handful of "Good" actors wind up playing all the roles.
5. The Wilhelm Scream. After hearing the "Kidnapping Victim" beg for mercy the 200th time you'll be ready to give off a Wilhelm scream.
6. Other games with enormous budgets that haven't been released yet have it and may or may not flop, whether the voice is a factor remains to be seen.
7. Lower replay value: There's only so many times you can listen to the same actor giving the same line over and over again before you don't want to hear it. At least you can skim over text as it stands.
8. Skip? If the vocals are skippable you've wasted tons of time coding them into the game for the people who skip them. If it's unskippable you've just slowed down every activity in the game which involves voice acting.

Quote:This is fairly unrealistic assumption. The play-testing phase will never be able to duplicate every possible scenario as it applies to power combinations or enhancement slotting for a particular power or powerset. It also can’t hope to predict or preempt every possible abuse by the live server player base, the developers simply don’t have the time or resources to so do.Anyway, my two cents. If a power can pass the design and play-testing phase, then the only time to really look at it is when new complimentary powers sets or new, easily available IO enhancements become available.
They can create, develop and tweak a power or powerset based on known or obvious exploits, alpha and beta testing results and, on occasion, player input but the really insidious bugs normally don’t come out until the changes hit the live servers. It’s just the nature of the beast especially in an ever-changing production environment like an MMO. The alternative is stagnation and failure of the game.

Bubble tankers? Yes please!
As for why force fields have to be bubbles. I don't think that they have to be it's just that a sphere represents the most structurally sound shape since it possesses no edges or corners that could be considered weak points.

Quote:I'm not sure that I understand what you mean by "design our own costume". Are you suggesting that the player base be allowed to submit their own custom made patterns and/or costume pieces?I was wondering, could it be possible we be able to design our own costume?

Quote:I guess that is my point; the suggestion being made is useful at a very specific time. When you are completely drained of endurance (with or with -recovery) and your opponent has a sliver of health. Otherwise you just wind up wasting time and effort trying to brawl a mob into insensibility.Unless you've run out of Blues, inspirations drop frequently admittedly, but there's always going to be that one time you run out mid-battle and sappers are zapping on your tails.
Brawl's perfect for cherry-tapping enemies with a sliver of health, you'd want to keep the endurance and recharge on a stronger power for a critter with more health.
As a matter of fact why not add a secondary effect to Brawl that gives it a better than average chance to stun your opponent. That would be more helpful overall IMO.

The two new costume sets are really great and very well done but I would have liked to see something that had more generic appeal such as the addition of selectable overall skin textures and eyes as its own costume option. I also support the suggestion of making no ears a viable option. This would allow folks to create their own brand of mutant.

Quote:Since Brawl costs zero endurance to trigger, I would believe that yes, you can use this power even if your endurance is dead zero.
Brawl doesn't do much damage, but like any other power, proper slotting with enhancements, IOs and procs, you can do a lot more than what most people use it for. I remember one person suggested slotting Kinetic Combat's proc chance for knockback, but it could be for any proc if you frankenslot.
I can see how adding a chance for KB might make Brawl slightly more useful in the situation described in the original post but again it seems better to just munch some blues and get back to business.
