Without speaking to Knockout Blow itself, I'd say my own estimate for the probability that I16 either introduces custom power animations or creates the opportunity to customize power animations (in at least some limited form) is something between about one in ten (and I don't actually know if it is or is not coming: that's a genuine guestimate). Low, but not astronomically low. My guess that such a feature is added in some form within the next twelve months is much, much higher (better than even money: I'd take that bet).

Agreed! At this point it's not a question of if they will be adding more power customization, it's a question of when they choose to add it. Cryptic goes to open beta in about 3 weeks or so and DCUO is just starting their pre-alpha testing so the proverbial wolves are at the door.
NCSoft ponied up alot of cash to buy CoH from Cryptic and then went on a hiring spree. I honestly can't see them wasting that investment by ignoring something like power customization. I personally think we will see it earlier rather than later, probably no later than the first of the year. -

It got apparently fixed shortly after the post showed up. Few days after the post the fix showed up in the test server. Came live with I15 so it is no longer possible.

Hmmm... depending on how difficult it was to duplicate I don't know that "fixing it" was really something that was needed. Creative use of powers should be something that is not only allowed but encouraged, within reason of course. -

The fact that Heraclea is asking about her build with the caveat that she is already at level 41 and that she is looking to capitalize on her control abilities. You mentioned Frost as an option but Shiver is a better AoE.
She could plausibly drop Ice Sword for Frost but perhaps the Ice Sword is part of a character concept. -

When the damage AoE (Frost = 90° cone, 10 ft range) is smaller than the control AoE (Shiver = 135° cone, 60 ft range)and you are building for control over damage. -

You don't have Frost. You don't take Frozen Aura at 38 and immediately 6-slot for damage. You don't slot Freezing Touch for enough damage. You slot Frozen Fists and take & slot GIS as if they're effective attacks. This is why ppl still think Ice Melee has lousy damage.

Ice Melee does not have lousy damage, it has lower damage than the other tanker secondaries but trades that off for being a heavy soft control set. As such most folks that choose Ice Melee do so for the control aspect rather than the damage. -

I'm actually kinda tired of heroes and villains being all chummy. I'd like to see things where we have PVE vs PVE, much like the battle zones in Siren's Call, but not necessarily PVP. Task forces that counter each other (via Oroborous for example) as villains do X and Heroes try to undo it, giving nice rewards to wresting control from one side or the other.
I want to see COMPETITIVE zones. It can't be that hard to do without resorting to lolpvp.

On the one hand, with the BS level amounts of S/L resistance the devs gave every two bit mob in this game, I can see exactly why a statement like this gets made.
The fact it got made in the first place, and the reasons why should be a red flag to the developers if they knew what they were doing.

While I'm not so sure about Fire Melee I think that Energy Melee is a perfectly acceptable choice for an homage to Superman. It wouldn't work for a Superman clone but for an homage Invy/EM works just fine. -
I would go the ancillary pool route. Ice Storm and Shiver in Arctic Mastery would be a good addition for more crowd control.

That 20% is a maximum value. Remember, it scales depending on how far you deviate from the correct color.

Whether or not any powers ever get alternate animations has nothing to do with luck. I've never personally been against the idea of having alternate power animations, quite the opposite. We've simply lacked the tech to do that and the time to create said animations.

We get bugs from many sources. Sometimes they come from QA, sometimes they're pulled from the forums, other times they come from PMs or even personal experiences.

No, I didn't. I'm pretty busy here right now with Issue 16 and I don't have the luxury of being able to read every post in every thread. Most of us are lucky if we can find a couple of hours every few days to just skim through and catch what we can.
I can't say that no one knows about the bug, just that I personally hadn't heard about it and Castle hadn't heard about it either. It may be sitting in programmer land right now or our QA department might be verifying it. *shrugs*

Only in very rare situations, and it's even rarer that you would want to move in that state rather than being camped in front of LR and his banes for example and effectively stationary. 99%+ of the time, you don't need the extra regen. Teleport also fixes a lot of these issues, if I need granite with rooted, I TP into mobs if a kin is not present.

Fair enough and I am not really taking anything away from Granite Armor. It's just that for an SO slotted Stone/Ice tanker Granite Armor is not really needed for the majority of the game content. -
If we are going to start emulating pro wrestlers I want to see a 2x4 added to the weapon choices for War Mace.
