I wanted to try my hand at coloring in PSP but I have run into a bit of a roadblock. If I take a black and white image and attempt a color fill I get the gray scale dithering at the edges of the black lines. I realize why this happens and have had some luck with using the magic wand to select an area, change the hue and saturation of the selected area so that the dithering turns a more appropriate color like green without changing the bulk of the black lines. This seems to work to a point but not perfectly. Is there an easier way?

Very cool piece Foo, I love the colors! I wouldn't say that her mouth is too small just that it curves in too deeply on her right side. It appears that the line of her right cheek leading to her chin is in shadow but the curve of her lip doesn't follow the contour of her face in that area.

Very cool! It's got a futuristic distopia law enforcement look that works! I especially like the mismatched claws/blade! Most folks would match them up but having them be two different styles makes them look utilitarian as well as deadly.

I have Gimp 2 and a fairly recent version of PSP installed on my PC at home. I just get lost in all the options!
At some point I suppose that I need to bite the bullet and give them a shot. Honestly the Juggertha piece is the first thing I've sat down and drawn in Paint from start to arguable finish. Most of the time it's just doodling or tweaking existing pictures to suit my taste for personal use.
