Issue with auto-fire - stops working after zoning. Usually starts right back up when you force it manually the first time - or in combat.

This, sometimes mine wont go off at all for any reason, but the little green circle will still be there. I have to click it again for it to go off. Been like this for a long time now.

I actually kind of like this bug, it's cut down on heals spams at WW significantly. -

I despise Atlas Park. Between the /b's for LOL sewer teams, the costume contests, and the general inane stuff in /b... *shudders*
[/ QUOTE ]
So do you despise Atlas Park or the chat in Atlas Park?
Cause ya know you could just turn off /broadcast.... -
[ QUOTE ]
It's possible to get to fifty by only doing well-written and challenging arcs in the AE buildings.
Therefore, you could be level 50 with hard-won experience fighting a huge variety of opponents and situations, all without leaving Atlas.

Freaks:
Talos 20-30 zone
Terra Volta 24-30 HAZARD zone
Brickstown 30-40 zone
Crey's Folly 30-40 HAZARD zone
Don't recall seeing any Freaks in Indepence Port... Tsoo, Council, Family, Devouring Earth, Giant Octopus...
[/ QUOTE ]
There's also quite a few Freaks (and lost bosses) in Faultline.
And you can find the occasional lowbie (10-15ish) Freak in The Hollows, but I wouldn't recommend hunting them there. Far to rare.
Edit: To the OP assuming you can handle a few Freaks (level 30-32) at the same time, you can get everything you need in Crey's Folly. Enter the zone and turn left there are almost always 1 or 2 large groups just up the street (usually battling Crey forces). Defeat them, then make an about face and head back to the entrance. There's a large warehouse just to the right of the entrance, hop up onto the roof and smack around the rikti monkeys (level 30-32). Then hop back to street level and follow the road directly away from the entrance. You'll pass a warehouse on your left, turn left after than and you'll find some sewage cannals. Hovering around the sewage cannals you'll see some DE swarms. Take them out, and you're all set.
(Note: It's been a while since I've done it so I might have the kill order backwards.) -

Though I do like to point out a small, interesting detail. Judging by that wallpaper picture, Lord Recluse is either A.) left-handed, or B.) a left-handed shooter.

Well being left-handed is traditionally associated with evil.

I'm left handed IRL.

Seriously though, check out the wiki page on left-handedness. I'm almost surprised that the left-hand gene made it through the dark ages. -

did you petition it in game to have a gm clear the fail and complete it for you? i had to do that 2 times on an escape mission before.
[/ QUOTE ]
No. I figured I would get an answer to why its happening here hence the posting. I didn't think it was a bug and I'm still not sure what to think.
A few days ago on an Arachnoid map, fighting Dobbs or Dibbs or Biff or whatever his name was, I got defeated. I couldn't knock his HP down faster than he could regen. I visited the fateweaver to reduce the challenge, and reset the mission. 2 mins into the retry I get failed mission.
[/ QUOTE ]
I just did Biff a few minutes ago (god awful regen on him) and he also tries to escape, if it makes you feel any better I actually watched him jump through a wall (there must be a hole in the geography there) and start booking for the exit. Luckily I was able to turn on SS and catch him as he exited back into the tunnels. So it is possible that the boss that got past you fell through a whole in the geography and stayed "outside" the map where you couldn't see him all the way to the exit.
/bug it just to be sure -
Where there any mission objectives? Like Don't Let So-and-so escape? Or don't let So-and-so die? Or don't kill So-and-so? Etc.

so offensive powers(toggles) arent worth taking since they get put down so easily?i find mine down so much i just seem to go all thru the fights without it or turning it on repeatedly.
[/ QUOTE ]
Do you have Fire Shield and Plasma Shield turned on while you're running Blazing Aura? If not, then you need them turned on for their mez protection so that kind of thing doesn't happen.
[/ QUOTE ]
Oh that's right I forgot about that, Fire/ mez is split up among the powers.
Fire Shield: Disorient
Plasma Shield: Hold, Sleep
Burn: Immobilize
For what it's worth, the only time I remember my Fire/SS Tank getting mezzed during his entire run to 50 was when he fought Carnies. (Not counting getting drained and chain held by Sappers of course)
The only thing I can guess is that you are facing too many foes at once and the stacked mez is ever so briefly dropping your toggle.
Try fighting just 1 or 2 at a time and see if it still gets dropped. If it doesn't then slowly increase the number of foes until you find out how many you can handle before the stacked mez punches through.
And watch out for those large groups fo Green Ink Men in Talos -
[ QUOTE ]
the 5 toggle powere are run, superspeed
[/ QUOTE ]
Good lord, why? In combat those 2 powers are doing nothing but sucking endurance.
[ QUOTE ]
i also have 12 pts of kb protection but still get kb'd occassionally.
[/ QUOTE ]
Outside of PvP there are only 3 things that can punch through 12 pts of KB protection. AVs, Fake Nemesis, and custom critters in AE.
[ QUOTE ]
happens with all enemies in all zones lastest was clockwork
[/ QUOTE ]
There are 3 ways to be detoggled.
1: Be hit by a detoggling power in PvP.
2: Lose all your endurance so that you can't maintain the endurance cost of the toggle.
3: Get mezzed (and this will only detoggle powers that affect others, powers that only affect you wont be detoggled)
The only thing I can guess is that you are "biting off more than you can chew". What I mean by that is you are herding up a large group of mez heavy foes and getting hit by enough mez powers to punch through your protection. -
[ QUOTE ]
even though i didnt turn it off, get stunned, sleep, held, disoriented or knocked back or down why is this happening?
[/ QUOTE ]
I don't know what toggles you're running (other than Blazing Aura), but clearly one of them isn't Plasma Shield. Plasma Shield is your mez protection and will keep you from getting stunned, slept, held, etc. Whenever you are mezzed any toggles you have that affect others are turned off. -

Well the army has decided to send me to Korea, and I was wondering if I can stil play this game over there, I hope so
I know they launched the game in Korea but it failed
Also if I went to Europe I know they have their own game but could I still be on the same server/and toons I have now I would hate to have to start fresh
[/ QUOTE ]
I've played from Germany, Kuwait, and Iraq, Korea shouldn't be an issue for you.
Just make sure you stay on the US servers. -
Some hints:
1: If you are above your target the Knockback basically becomes Knockdown.
2: Angle yourself so you can knock them into walls.
3: Foes that are higher in level than you are more resistant to knockback. -

I have 2 travel powers on all of my 50's but only 1 has flight.

The fact that you have 2 travel powers on all of your 50s (I'll guess SS+SJ), should give you a clue as to why Fly is kept slow. -

What interests me about "support" characters in this game is how really lacking they are in actual offense, and I'd wonder about comic characters that also lacked offense. In the "real" world, if I have access to, say, Mind Control, and decided to go out and beat up people of whatever alignment, I also have access to a baseball bat and my shotgun. Or just take up Kickboxing. Heck, Heroes are all licensed, they can carry all manner of swords and guns and no one would say anything.
[/ QUOTE ]
The thing is you have access to all those things in the game via Power Pools and Temp Powers...
What gets me is that many people (not aimed at you in particular) say that the support characters are lacking in offense. When you really think about it, support characters have access to just as much offense as your offensive characters like scrappers and tankers (with lower base damage of course).
Emp/Rad Defender 9 attack powers in it's secondary.
Inv/SS Tanker 9 attack powers in it's secondary (counting Taunt).
Inv/Broadsword Scrapper 9 attack powers in it's primary.
Fire/Rad Controller 9 attack powers in it's primary.
And so on...
Heck Blasters are the only AT that are purely offense. -

Do you have administrator rights on that computer? If it's saying you don't have permission to install it might be because you are on a profile that's restricted, switch to the administrator profile. -

See, For me, what makes AV soloing worth bragging about is the fact you've achieved enough Damage output, enough Survivability AND enough End Recovery.
Miss any one of those three and it's not possible. (without insps at least)
So coming full circle, I just don't think an SO build could pull off all three, but it could come close, very close.
[/ QUOTE ]
I believe DM/Regen could do it. I might try to make an all-SO build in build slot 2 just to try it. I know way back in the day my DM/Regen soloed Maestro as an AV, although it took forever, and that was back in 2006 long before inventions (but also before AVs were made more resistant to tohit debuffs I believe). Not the toughest AV in the world, but I think the most important point is that over a very long fight I managed to not run out of endurance, which is one of the sticking points for scrappers with enough damage in theory.
[/ QUOTE ]
Hear that, Umbral? Now you GOTTA solo an AV using only SOs!
[/ QUOTE ]
I'll up the ante and say, TOs only.
Sure finding level 50 TOs is kinda tough now, but that's all part of the challenge. -
There's actually a lot of characters in the comics that are purely support characters. The problem is those characters aren't very fun to read about, and they aren't all that fun in a fight (kind of like a pure-healer build
)
Luckily with this game, everyone has access to "attack" and "defense" powers. Though sometimes it's hard to tell if a power is an "attack" or "defense" powerAnd some powers that look like "attacks" are actually your "defense". If that makes any sense...

If you aren't hooked on getting a BluRay and you want to save a few bucks....
This is what I'm currently running the game on. -
Go up into the Tech and Bugs forums and read through the stickied thread on Vista issues.
Most of the "fixes" are pretty easy and so long as you follow the directions you should be up and running in no time.
I had a few issues when I first switched over to Vista, but I've been playing for months now with no problems. -
RE: Needing a special/expensive build to solo AVs.
My DM/SR was soloing AVs back before IOs existed. Using only SOs and his standard PvE build.
IOs and dual builds just increased the realiability and speed of taking those AVs down for me.
/shrug
The reason I don't see it as very common is that many people just dont think it's possible, or they think that only a select few players with tricked out builds can do it. In other words they've fallen for the urban legends.
