Objective Feedback:
<ul type="square"> [*]Base Rent was 106,000 and now is 2,900. [*]I was able to expand base to largest secure plot size with refund. [*]I was able to add Fusion Generator (previously crafted) with refund.
Subjective Feedback:
With a core of just a handful of accounts active, the change to base rent was a godsend. I sympathize with groups that now have to pay rent on an 8X8 plot but as you can see from my numbers, the revised rent on my base (which I still have my maxed out bins from the 16X16 plot) is not that bad. -

[*]Carpets. Not every building has steel, hardword, or brick flooring.
[/ QUOTE ]
You can fake carpeting with the miyaku (spelling) gravel floor for now. Although I too would like real carpeting, as well as choices of area rugs (which exist in NPC locations throughout the game already).
[/ QUOTE ]
I will have our master base designer try it, but I would love to also have a shag like carpet. -
My Base wish list.
<ul type="square">[*]Office like kins for the base. Much like the door map where you go into an "office building" to rescue X person. This would be perfect for my SG theme. Think NCIS, X-Files, CSI, etc.
[*]2nd Floor. Stickly for PvE as it would be nice to have an actual 2nd floor. Some themes that I have though about was a floor for the normal medical / workshop / etc. and then a "basement" for the generators and control. Another option would be a sewer like lvl and then another floor. This would work much like the Safeguard misisons where there is a bomb inthe serwer and you have to go through it an emerge in a building.
[*]Office like rooms where there is a window that you can see in. Simliar to the ones where you go in on door missions.
[*]Following the office rooms, maybe an "interigation" or jail room. The ones with the oneway glass.
[*]Teleporter (or Pillar of Fire and Ice) for Roman zone. You can only use it if you have done the arc. If not, it will tell you that you are cant use it and, perhaps, teleport you to the contact.
[*]Carpets. Not every building has steel, hardword, or brick flooring.
To second some of the other items mentioned:
<ul type="square"> [*]Beds. Standard beds, cots, bunk beds, etc.
[*]Target dummies.
[*]Arcade like items.
[*]Windows. I miss the outside sunlight.
-

Base Re-pricing
1) How will the re-pricing of bases affect you personally?
Lost man hours and angry SG members (who will need to use base features while the base is "remodeled").
2) Will you dismantle your base to gain the additional prestige from the re-pricing?
If there are no other options for getting the difference in price then what choice would I have. Why should I keep a base built on old pricing where another SG could build the exact base for less prestige? This will affect how my SG recruits as now we have to compete with smaller SGs that will offer the same basics (TP to each zone, med bay, work benches, empowerment stations, etc). While this is good for the starter SGs, it will not be good for those that are more established.
3) How long would this process take you if you were to engage in this practice?
To get the base back to current, I would estimate 1 - 2 weeks. This estimate includes gathering invention salvage for making the equipment in the base.
4) What are the positive and negative concerns regarding re-pricing?
Positives: Gives new SGs a break on getting the essentials much like the combo unit and control/power room (name escapes me) did before.
Cons: Established SGs must dismantle their base to get the price difference. Might be harder to recruit as smaller SGs will have the basics without having too much time invested as the established SGs.
5) How will this feature affect you long term and short term?
Short term: Chaos as we scrap the base and build again.
Long term: We can use the savings to keep paying rent or add more items to the base.
Base Salvage Exchange to Invention Salvage
1) What is the negative effect on your base for this feature implementation?
Since all of the items that are crafted with base salvage will have to be removed when we redo the base, we will need invention salvage readily available to make the basics. Also, now SG members will have to choose to donate their invention salvage, sell it, or use it. When it was just base salvage, it was always given to the SG.
2) What is the positive effect on your base for this feature implementation?
I can't think of any positives on this.
3) How long will it take you to adjust to learning this new system?
I would say 1 week as a base builder but I can't predict how long it will take the player base to understand that they need to "donate" their salvage to the SG.
4) What side effects to this system do you currently see from transitioning the old to new system?
As mentioned before, SG members will have to choose to donate their invention salvage, sell it, or use it. When it was just base salvage, it was always given to the SG.
5) What security concerns do you have regarding this change?
Again, SG members will have to choose to donate their invention salvage, sell it, or use it. When it was just base salvage, it was always given to the SG. -

Thinking about this a bit more over the weekend, you could make the large Teleportation device look like the devices in the Portal Corporation. Clicking on the portal would let you select the zones it can transport you to. The mystical version could model after the portals in Oranbega - just scale them to be larger.
I also like the idea of making the Small/basic teleporter smaller in footprint and using the current basic teleporter for a medium teleporter model.
[/ QUOTE ]
No offense, but to me, that would make them like stargates.
Just to toss my $0.02 into the mix. I would like to see ...

Could you even generate content for your SG that can be *gasp* run from the base Mission Computer/Oracle!?

Can you say lvl 53 hellions

Wow, you beat me by 1 lvl. -
Hmm ... I wonder if the villian groups will have to match the level. Should I be able to create a map of Skulls set at lvl 52?
BTW, since someone else has a copywrite on one idea on this forum, here is mine but please feel free to beat me to it.
Fight all Practorians in an cave map with lava and you have to save and escort the Signature heroes who have been weakened by Practroians. -

Now, do you guys think this mission creator will allow people to customize missions just for the sake of farming?
[/ QUOTE ]
That would be great. -
Holy Smokes!
WOW! (and not that WoW, BTW)
Posi, you and the other developers have continued to give us exciting content and I look forward to what is coming down the pike.
Thank you.

I feel the pain of everyone who wasn't allowed into Freedom because of the server cap. I noticed performance issues in Freedom back in Aug 06 and begun to play on Liberty. Once server transfers were enabled, I moved character over and deleted the rest (lvl less than 10).

This still does not tell me when the game will be Vista 64 ready. Come on guys it time to be ready for the furture of gameing, not the past. Make this game 64 bit compatiable.
[/ QUOTE ]
Just out of curiosity, what do you mean Vista 64 compatible? I am running the game on Windows Vista Business 64-bit with no issues other than the compatible cursors (running in windowed mode for that). I have noticed SIGNIFICANT improvement in speed and graphic quality when I disable Aero (both at home and at work).

Please define "fun" as I have had fun with the game since it launched.
My point is that there are aspects of the game that others call fun which you do not. If you could be more specific to your request, then maybe there is something the Developers can do to make it "fun" for you. When you make a vague request, how can the Developers answer it?
It seems as this post has alot of I wish this and thats. My suggestion as someone who works with software (non gaming) and hardware is to be specific in your requests/rants/feedback as much as possible. When you give specifics, then it is easier for a programmer to go in and look at the issue.

I can't wait for this to hit the live servers. As soon as it hits, you will have my $20. Thank you Devs.

It happened to me several times from the same user in a span of an hour. I wont reveal the global name since myself and my SG mates all sent a petition and did the global ignore. -
Is anyone having "rubber banding" issues with Vista? On both my Vista Business machines (PC and laptop), there seems to be a lot more "rubber banding" than I remember on the same machines running Windows XP. For sake of argument, I will only ask about the PC.
