I think what he meant was.. since he has to get somebody else to apply the OTHER codes, it's just easier to have that person do ALL of them at once anyway, even though he may be able to take care of 1 or 2 of them himself elsewhere.

I'm not looking for any answers.. I was making a statement to the bad design of the Account Detail section of our Account Management.

We know all that, and it was discussed above.

Having the Full Retail Mac version would block you from adding the Item Pack, because the Items are already part of your account at that point... just like buying the GvE edition would block you from adding the GvE in-game pack (cause you already have it).

We already know that too. I'm not sure what that has to do with my situation at all though.

My situation was originally regarding the AE Retail package that comes with a free item pack, but because of the way the Account Detail is listed, there was no way to tell if I had purchased it already or not. (that specific retail package)

Then, the whole idea became void anyway when I realized that I already had the only 2 item packages that are eligible with the AE package. The only reason Mac was brought up is because it's the only other retail version that came out, but my Account detail only shows ONE Retail added during that time frame, which doesn't make any sense. I more than likely bought both of them and took advantage of the "discounted" packs for each one, and had bought the other item pack separately beforehand.

My point was that somebody in a similar situation, but didn't already have both eligible packs, might try to buy AE to get the other one free/discounted, not remembering/realizing hey had already purchased it... because the Account Detail is not "detailed".

I know which Packs I have, and I know which powers/items come from each one, but that doesn't necessarily mean I bought a specific Retail copy or not. I wanted to buy AE Retail to get a discounted pack, but I didn't know if I already bought it or not.. but since it turns out I already have both eligible items anyway, it wouldn't make much sense to bother with it anyway now.

Because of the non-detail in the Account Details, I can only assume I bought the packs separately, or that one of the Retail codes I bought is incorrectly showing as a Perk instead. This is why it would be nice to have the item names updated.

If that's the case, I don't see why it's that price or why it comes with the free game time... although now that you mention it, I do remember them saying that at one point. That sucks for new people wanting to play GR... locked into 2 months and having to buy both retails. Well, there is a price for everything I guess.

Right, there is no way to "gift" an online code of any kind. Once you buy it, it's linked to your account and can only be applied to one of your own game accounts. You don't even get the full serial code until after it's actually applied.

This means that if Leo can't access that part of the site himself, he'd have to give somebody his username/password to do it for him, which is never recommended.

That's the thing... the Valkyrie stuff is available separately too. Basically, I was going to buy the AE edition to get the extra pack for lower overall cost, but I don't remember if I already did. lol

I know I bought quite a few of the add-ons myself, so I don't know if I got that one as freebie for the Mac edition or paid the 9.99 for the pack. All I know is that I have only one "Retail" added during that time period, but I don't know which one it was. I think I might have even bought both of them already, but it wouldn't make sense for one of them to show up as one of the "Perk" items. lol

Then again, I think the only pack I'm missing is the Science pack, which isn't eligible as a freebie anyway, right? So nevermind. lol

He listed Cyborg as his freebie with the Architect Edition. The only thing I see missing from the list is the "Alpha/Omega" pack, but that's included in the $40 "Complete" Edition of GR anyway.

Oh yeah.. and then costume code perks from live events, but those would have to be obtained from e-bay or something. lol

On a side note, I wish they would be more specific on the Game Account page, cause I can't remember if I bought the Mac pack or the AE pack, or even both. All it says is "Retail" on the page.

GR should have a free month with it as well. Even though it's an "expansion", it's still a stand-alone retail box, all of which come with a free month... IE.. a new player could buy GR and set up an account with it.

Leo, how come it doesn't let you purchase them from the site?

I think we all had a hand in that at some point or another, especially on the last mission. We should have been smarter about that to begin with instead of just blazing straight up (especially since people went to different sides)... but that's just something to remember for the Mo runs.. (well, it would make a good Mo-SF if they ever decided to add more, lol).

It was a fun night, and everybody did a great job considering there wasn't any lead "tank/brute" of any kind. I'd run it again any time, and I have the Oracle in my base now for future use too.

I'm inclined to believe it would be a buff or temp power of some kind, rather than a badge, which means badge hunters wouldn't really care. Otherwise, you could still earn the badge for "staying" whatever time frame it might take, and THEN move to the other side.

And if that means losing that one badge or reward, it's instantly made up for by the dozens more you can get from the other side. I think most people can live with that.

I'm not sure what the problem is for you guys, I was able to log in and view the online store when I started posting in this thread... (they just happen to be down for maintenance now). Like we said, GR pre-sale is not yet available, but look for it in the next few weeks... and for all we know, it might be there when the store comes back online anyway. Only time will tell.

I think it's worth noting that we will probably get early access if we pre-purchase ONLY from the NCSoft site... otherwise there would be no way for it to be linked to our accounts through a 3rd party retailer. Through Gamestop (for example) we probably won't get the product code until the retail box is available, whereas if we purchase online through NCSoft, it would be automatically provided and can be applied to our accounts.

I hope they clarify that for people who might try buying it locally instead.

I still think something is wrong with your motherboard installation. Other than faulty/broken hardware (or user error), it's the only explanation at this point. Even if you say your "drivers are there", the system might just be using Generic drivers just to make the device operable, but you'd need the real driver to make it fully functionable. Honestly, I've never purchased a motherboard that didn't come with a driver disc (except once off e-bay, and then I was still able to download one).

Yes, when you buy either version of Going Rogue, it'll add access to those powersets to your account. All the "Complete Edition" does is ADD the extra little pack to it as well.

As far as when to get it.. I'd assume the pre-purchase will be available in March/April when i17 goes Live. Then the retail version comes out in July-ish.

Like Fleeting said, they are not official, and don't contain any Holidays or special information about game events or anything.. just screenshots of different things in the game. I simply print them out and use them to schedule my in-game events ever since the official set ended.

If you are referring to the first product listed, it does have a slot on it. It plugs into your existing PciE slot and you would plug the card into the unit hat is attached with the cable. Whether or not that one is specifically to diagnose cards attached to it or if it lets you use the card attached to it, there are other products listed that seem designed to do what you want. I even listed another link above that shows an item that does it.. but like i said.. it's expensive too.

You'd be better off just bringing a laptop to work and using that instead... or buying a larger case for the computer there. lol
