You might have "Depth of Field" effects turned on. That distorts things in the distance. I prefer having it off.

Known issue. The Arcane version is broken looking too, as is the Pocket D beacon. The art for both beacons are in the files, the game just doesn't point to them for some reason. It'll get fixed eventually, but in the meantime it's nothing you did.

In Nerva (and Siren's Call i think), there is a Wiener Stand that has a door on it. If you log out while standing at the front counter, you will walk inside when you log back in.
But don't try to make any money selling Jumbo Wienie Fries while you are in there... The Devs didn't stock the shelveslol
(Yes, I know you can TP inside as well, but it's still a funny "log-in near a door" incident as well)

There are also places on "Monkey Island" in PI that allow you to navigate under the map when you log back in because some of the buildings are slightly underground... -

She conned as an enemy the moment I summoned her. I was able to attack her, and she debuffed me. The funny part about it was she still sent a heal or two my way, and still helped me defeat the boss. -

I've always used an underscore between powexec_name when binding teleport. I use the F button for teleport. like this:
/bind f "powexec_name teleport"
This makes the F button bring up the reticle and then all I have to do is click the destination of the Teleport.

I think this wouldn't remove ALL the 'griefing' (using that term loosely). And an 'olympic' style voting system too would be cool.. i.e. a certain percentage of the votes fixed (5%) would be automatically discounted both good and bad. Losing a small number of votes Best and Worst. That would give you a better idea of what people 'really' think about the mission.

I think a weighted system might be good, where a vote from someone that hasn't finished the first mission counts for less than a person who completes the first mission, which in turn counts for less than someone who has completed the second mission, etc.

My only problem with that is that if the first mission really does suck, and people leave after the first mission, and rate it as a truly bad arc, then their vote will weigh less than the creator's friends who finish it just to be nice.

That's my guess. The danger of long-distance travel in high zones is part of being a baby character. Plus, Oro goes to Peregrine. Not providing easier access to PI for babies used to be a concern -- I guess MA has eclipsed that.

Personally, I like using the circles. For example, for my WS I just use:
/bind LSHIFT "powexecname Shadow Step"
I press the key, then click where I want to go. This prevents "undesired results" that happened to me while using the other bind. -

The level restriction was implemented during the Beta for the reason I stated. The feature you are talking about was added later to prevent higher-level characters from being blocked off from contacts. But the level restriction was created so that the O-portal could never be a "trap" for new, unaware players.

Even if it was designed specifically for new characters, a lvl restriction of 10 would probably have been just as sufficient. The question is: "Why 25?"
Also, what's to stop any of the many lvl 25+ from spamming portals on Mrs Liberty? Even if that's the excuse they gave you in Beta, it just doesn't make any sense. Even before the change I mentioned, they still wouldn't be able to click Liberty because they just got the error message for the lvl restriction instead. That didn't solve anything.

It came from player-created tests of Griefability during i11 Beta.
When first implemented, anyone of any level could click on an O-portal and go to Ouroboros. Trying to think like the lowest common denominator, several people tried dropping O-portals on Miss Libery in Atlas Park.
So a new player pops out of Tutorial, goes to the Trainer as they have been instructed to, "clicks" on them, and is suddenly in a strange place with no clue what they are supposed to do now.
The "you must be over lv25" restriction was implemented directly to prevent things like this.

Why isn't the account flag stored as a database entry? All it should take is one lvl 50 to flag that account. It shouldn't be based on the actual character being in existence past the initial point.
[/ QUOTE ] AFAWK it is stored exactly as you describe. And you are right, it shouldn't matter if we delete a character or not. We should still be flagged as ale to create Epic ATs. But somehow since i12, it seems to unflag for reasons we (players) don't know. They said they fixed it once and it seemed to go away, but it looks like it still pops up now and again (seems many i12 bugs have been coming back lately). -

Well you are kinda right.. the possible days it can be are 25-31, which makes almost half of them fall into the 29-31 range, but it's been a few years since it's been 29-31.

There is a slight bug that unflags your account for Epic Archetypes. Simply log onto any lvl 50 Villain to re-flag your account, then relog and create your VEAT.
