+ 10 Reward Merits
Finished in 1:05:38
27 deaths.
Jade Spider AOE is ridiculous at 360' range. Oh man that was rough until we grouped under it and repeatedly healed off it. Then it was cake.
Nice work everybody! It was fun using my NRG blaster again. -
I use that map as well and I originally had that map as a defeat all. I added in a couple friendly patrols so they can help clear some of the map, but ultimately that raised platform became too much of a problem. It made me decide to only use the convicts as the objective. I left out the defeat all and boss objectives.
-
I've seen them disappear before too. Simply reloading the client put them back up for me.

I did something like this as a temporary fix:

etc.

The ----- separates each section into a nice paragraph, but you run into your text limit pretty quick. lol -
The right-click info window is wrong for many of the powers. It's been like that for a long time. It's unenhanced value gives you +80% fly speed as shown by the [Fly] info.
-
Hmm.. maybe I'll get a few more points on Longbow Spy-duh.

half of the 16-bit (65,535) value: 32,767 (including line break, color, and url commands)

I suggest that if you did a bit of research into what OCD actually is you'd realize that there really is no comparison.

I've found that certain maps are inherently bad for glowie missions. Arachnos base mission maps (and a few others), for me at least, give off the glowie sounds through out the entire map, even if there are no glowies on that mission. Some maps like wherehouses and caves seem to still have good audio when it comes to glowies. Other maps, I believe out door maps and maps like ships/freighters, there doesn't seem to be any glowie sound at all.
/2cents
[/ QUOTE ] The only time I hear a glowie sound when there isn't one is in Crey Laboratory missions. The entrance door has a similar sound. Other than that, I don't have any issues. -
[ QUOTE ]
Also, the Safeguard/Mayhem missions are not available via flashback. You'll have to find someone at the appropriate level and accompany them.
The flashback versions of some powerful temps are "echo" versions, and not as good.
[/ QUOTE ] True. I think we skipped that because we assume the OP was doing them anyway: "I miss out on almost nothing by skipping contacts and playing as a [u]police band vigilante[u]." -
[ QUOTE ]
The only mission-realted badge you can't get from Ouroboros is Efficiency Expert (given by Efficiency Expert Pither in Grandville). Partially because you're only supposed to get one shot at the badge, partially because the badge isn't given for any single mission, but rather for completing all of Pither's timed missions (which are not connected in any way except to count for the badge).
[/ QUOTE ] This is the one I was referring to being unavailable through Ouro. I was pretty sure the rest were, but left it open just in case there was another I forgot. -
Miss_Blue had a resolution issue that affected her client. She probably didn't even really need to reinstall, but double check that the resolution didn't reset back to safe mode defaults.
Yours is a scaling issue which is saved in your character data. That's why it follows you wherever you go. I'd like a screen shot to see how bad it actually looks. A scale command (/windowscale tray 1.00) should fix it for you. I don't understand why it's not... did you get a response from support yet? Have you tried the scaling sliders in your options as well? -

Required question: Are you sure you didn't get the merits? I can't count how many times I failed to get the 'Merit Reward' or chat log spam, but got the merits anyway.
[/ QUOTE ] Yeah. Crazy enough people were comparing merits before we finished and i knew how many i had. When i logged back in after the crash.. it was the same count. -
[ QUOTE ]
We had a similar problem just running missions when someone joined the team who was still in AE mode. Good to know we just had to reform the team to fix it.
It's true, the end of TF crash does not mess with your rewards. I run TF's fairly frequently and so far no one has had any issue with rewards concerning the end of tf crash.
[/ QUOTE ] I had it happen at the end of an ITF last weekend.. I didn't get any merits at all. -

was gonna let a friend play on my test account, he complains he can't get a widow to work for him.
I'll let him use my regular account, I'll just make a different pw then change it again when it's done.
[/ QUOTE ] dont' forget that account sharing is against the rules btw -

It uses what Pohsyb refers to as a "Burtle Hash" (ref: http://cityofheroes.wikia.com/wiki/I...al_Name_Colors)
[ QUOTE ]
Technically, its using a burtle hash on the name string, converting that integer into a color value, then brightening the rgb values 5 at a time until its luminosity is at least 127
[/ QUOTE ]
However a Google search for the term finds only three references to "burtle hash", one of which is the Wiki itself. Luckily the Wiki page does have a link to a reference page:
http://burtleburtle.net/bob/hash/doobs.html
[/ QUOTE ]
Well that answers my question then. I was hoping to find some sort of application that duplicates this, but that's seems a bit unlikely now. Thank you for the info, nonetheless.
[/ QUOTE ]
Open up the test server and try different names there.. it's the closest thing we have so far. lol -

How about this - something similar to the mentoring badges, but tied to teaming. For example, a "Team Player" badge or badge series for spending X (and Y and Z) number of hours on a full team of 8?
[/ QUOTE ]
Very afk farmable.
[/ QUOTE ]
Not if they tie it to time spent "in combat", a state that they can track.
[/ QUOTE ] Even still.. lower level foes that wont be able to kill you.. -

[ QUOTE ]
Okay, if it's so easy... how does one do it?
[/ QUOTE ]
1: set venge/rez on autofire
2: Shift+number target the ally a few times in rapid succession(hold shift, and tap the number that applies to the blown up team mate a few times)
[/ QUOTE ] You can also use the Self destruct while shapeshifted (like PPD Hardsuit Costume) and you'll leave a body behind that can be targeted for veng and/or rez -

I got to 35 before I remembered about getting the 'Bad Luck' badge from Hard Luck. I went to Ouroboros to try and do 'The Unlucky Artifact' mission, as it says it exists on the wiki, but it's not offered in the Wiseguy (30-34) bracket. There's his story arc, but no badge mission.
Anyone know what's going on with it?
[/ QUOTE ]
The mission is in the Level 35 to 40 Range titled "The Unlucky Artifiact"
Flashback Guide for Villains
[/ QUOTE ]
Weird that's in the 35-40 range, but the contact is 30-34.
Thanks for both the heads up and the link!
[/ QUOTE ] Most of the badge missions are like that for some reason. -

Gratz! and hopefully losing the 89+ MA badges won't set you back too far on getting back into the 600 club when i15 launches
[/ QUOTE ]
The I15 changes pulls me back 20 badges, so that's not too bad. Post I15, I should be back in the 600 Club soon. One badge title I'll miss is "Do Gooder".
[/ QUOTE ] Set your badge title now, and you might still have it after the wipe. (as long as you don't ever change it) lol -

i15 is on test now, so let's work on setting a date for this.
How's next Tuesday the 2nd (hero) and Thursday the 4th (Villain) night for everybody?
[/ QUOTE ]
What start time were you thinking of MB?
If it is later in the evening, I should be good for both.
[/ QUOTE ] LoL sorry.. the standard 10pm on both nights.. -

The global chat colors is a preference that only affects our own client. Personal name colors show up the same for everybody. Even if we picked our own, it would be saved in the character data and wouldn't be affected by the same type of bug.
Besides that, I agree it should be easy to add such a preference... except that I'm sure we'd have so many people using similar colors, especially when in the same SG.. which would defeat the purpose of having the colors different.
[/ QUOTE ]
As a lcoal thing - no problem.
As a global thing so everyone sees the colour you wish that color would have to be send with every text string, which does add to the overhead.
There is a reason on my laptop I dont enable the chat colours for names, it makes a noticable performance impact.
[/ QUOTE ] Which is all the more good reason to have the option to turn it off.
I agree though, it's easier for them to put in a client-side calculation with every text string instead of transmitting an extra value it every time. -

Other than the fact that it probably won't stick upon zoning, I don't see why they won't let us choose our own name colors. I mean, it looks kinda silly to have a max height huge male Tanker with a bright pink chat name... >.>
[/ QUOTE ] A character's individual color always remains the same. It's the global chat text colors that change when zoning.
[/ QUOTE ]
Correct. I'm saying that that bug might end up affecting our names if we could pick the colors, instead of having it assigned to us.
We should be able to pick the color for our @Global Name and the color for Charcter Name. Let it continue to assign a random color at creation, but give us the option to change it.
