Or he can use Windowed mode instead of Fullscreen and the aspect ratio should be fine no matter what size he changes the screen to (providing his desktop is at the correct aspect ratio as well).

Its ISP related.
/net_error_correction 1
/net_error_correction 2
What is the difference between 1 and 2, no one knows. Hey, no one really knows what net_error_correction does at all. When I'm having those dropped packets (the red lines in the netgraph) that command seems to reduce the stutters I see. Maybe its just the placebo effectI don't know.
[/ QUOTE ] Everybody else on my team was experiencing the same thing, inside and outside of missions. Lag to the point where even regular attacks looked like toggles. lol
We're all from different parts of the world and have different ISPs.
Just sayin.
(I'm not saying it's the server's fault. I'm not going to be one of those people. I'm simply providing a little more information regarding my situation. I'll admit, I don't know if EVERYBODY on the team was experiencing it, but a few of us were comparing netgraph results several times throughout the SF, and like I said.. my netgraph didn't look anything like that earlier in the day.) -
I would just like to put in my two..
Seriously.. it's Friday. It's normal maintenance. I'm not saying nothing from i15 is broken, but that's not what this downtime is for. lol -
[ QUOTE ]
But when i use w+q+space bar its fine.....
[/ QUOTE ] Your keyboard's "sections" might have different groupings. The tower beeps because the motherboard is getting a keyboard error. A different model/manufacturer might not have an issue. Some people even report changing keyboard drivers can help overcome keyboard limitations sometimes, but it's not usually the case. -
I had that one time before.. when ITF was first released. I don't know what caused it, and it never happened to me again. lol
We didn't get any merits or any other reward for it though. -
<QR>
I'm getting that tonight as well (on Freedom). It was fine earlier, but getting strange behavior now. My netgraph looks just like yours. -

I think the globe looks round. You're probably right and I'm just not used to seeing it the "right" way. I just needed a second opinion.
[/ QUOTE ] If the globe looks round NOW, then it must mean it wasn't correct before.. so you are right.. you were just use to seeing it incorrectly. -
I was up to 690, but dropped to 622 for i15. I'm now back up to 637 so far.
And btw.. I did manage to succeed at keeping my "Architect LXXV" badge title. lol -
The first picture looks like you are squished down, or stretched side to side. The second looks normal to me.
As a test. Just look at the Atlas globe. Is it round?
If it isn't, then you are using the wrong aspect ratio. Try a different resolution. -

Several of the SGs I'm in seperate hazard zones from normal city zones, then have red lighting for the hazard zone teleporters.
[/ QUOTE ] To me, it's just easier to remember locations this way. I almost never need to go to Boomtown (for example), so If I ever needed to find the TP, I know all I have to do is go to Steel.
Obviously it's not much of a factor anymore (two or 3 years later).. but now I'm just locked into that sort of setup. The funny thing is that King's Row used to be by itself before the Pocket D Beacon came along, and it fit in there nicely. I didn't even have to make any adjustments at all. -
[ QUOTE ]
<QR>
Besides having TP to every zone, I also think putting down the teleporters in some sort of organized fashion is important. I hate when I have to randomly hunt to find the correct teleporter.
[/ QUOTE ]
Like this?
I tried to put them in order by lvl range, but also put adjoining zones together, while keeping the area compact, but not crowded:
Atlas Park
Galaxy City
King's Row
Pocket D
Perez Park
The Hollows
Skyway City
Faultline
Steel Canyon
Boomtown
Talos
Dark Astoria
Independence Port
Terra Volta
Croatoa
Striga
Brickstown
Crey's Folley
Founder's Falls
Eden
Peregrine Island
Rikti War Zone
The large room can also easily fit the Raid TP if/when it ever becomes needed again. -

The pentad is easy to get. All you need is two of the same ATs.
It's the Swiss Draw that's difficult. But, I'll be there.
[/ QUOTE ] They were all easy. For Swiss draw, everybody quits their matches except for the person whose getting the badge. It goes rather quickly if people are paying attention. Repeat 7 more times for the rest of the people in the group. -

I can't remember where it was or who posted it, but someone posted a rundown on the color hex and how it was assigned on one of the topics somewhere.
It was most probably Mateo since he seems to be the most savvy on the forums about this sort of thing.
[/ QUOTE ] I'd love to get credit for something like this, and you're right... it does sound like something I'd spend the time trying to figure out.. but NO.. wasn't me. lol I think it was a Dev actually.
If I had to guess.. I'd say it could be the period in the name that maybe stops the client from processing it any further?
I'd have to test it of course, but I'd guess it's only the "Mr" that is getting processed on each name, making them all identical colors.
Edit: well I tested..
Mr. test this code (sky blue)
Mr. here is another (olive green)
As another test, I tried to replicate your name formatting and length:
Mr. Harvey (Purple)
So I don't know how you are formatting your other names exactly, but it's not doing the same thing for me.
Do your other characters all have the same length name?
Is there anything else similar about them? -
[ QUOTE ]
/netgraph 2 on my screen just shows a solid green bar, it doesn't show the variations of traffic like /netgraph 1 does.
[/ QUOTE ] I just tested it..
1 shows the small graph
2 seemed to enlarge the original graph to at least 10 times the size.
Some of the larger spikes almost hit my health meter. lol
both values still show the ping value in the corner (but can get covered by the green graph if it's high enough).
both of them showed variations, but ONLY size1 will show you yellow or red. The bigger graph will be blank in places where size1 showed red or yellow. -

What about the 186 drivers released 14 days ago?
Version: 186.18
Release Date: June 18, 2009
Operating System: Windows 7 or Windows Vista (64-bit)
Language: U.S. English
[/ QUOTE ] Those drivers are currently a no-no as far as CoH is concerned.
Note: 186.18 works fine for XP. The issue is only for Windows Vista/7 users. The current working driver for CoH on Vista/7 is 185.85 instead. -

Thanks for the help, but particularly:

Also, if you are doing missions/activities in a zone that doesn't have a base beacon (PvP and shadow Shard), you can "go to base" when you die, an click on your blue portal exit to go right back to the exact location you died. If you are inside a mission in those zones, you'll pop up at your mission door. It's very convenient.
[/ QUOTE ]
This I did not know. Thank you very much!
[/ QUOTE ]
I used the base all the time for the Hollows before a Hospital was added to that zone. I suppose it could be useful for Perez Park missions as well... instead of having to hike all the way back to your mission from the Hospital in Steel or Atlas (for example). Keep in mind that Perez does have a beacon though, so you'd be teleported to the beacon, not your mission door in that zone. -

Very strange. So, on a whim I decided to move the slider around in the Options menu. Upon doing that, then the popup tray takes on the windowscale I have defined there, but not before. Strange.
[/ QUOTE ] If those windows did not exist when you originally set that option, they would not be applied with that preference.
For example, when MA was released, all of my MA windows defaulted to 1.00, even though my preference was set at 1.15 (115%).
IIRC, opening the options window and simply hitting apply did NOT work (for me). I had to actually change the value to something else first in order for the program to apply the change. Then I changed the option back to my 115% preference.
Also, keep in mind that when using the above window names: "tray1 tray2 tray3" do not refer to the actual powertray number that you have displayed on that window, but the sequence at which those windows opened when you pressed the (+).
Once you get them finally set up the way you want them, do a /wdw_save so that you can easily /wdw_load the same setup onto your other characters without much effort. -
[ QUOTE ]
Now I understand. I didn't even know it was being abused before. I guess I either need to find a job REALLY fast or beg a friend to give me some money to get the pack, lol
I really want to fix the height problem because I want to make some demorecords of the two of them and them make videos.
[/ QUOTE ] I believe the height is as simple as changing the value of Scale in the file.
As for putting it on your actual toon, you'd have to re-roll or wait for the new booster pack to be able to change it. Even though Scale is included in the costume files, the value isn't loaded in the costume creator. -
You can edit your game shortcut to the following example:
"C:\Program Files\City of Heroes\CohUpdater.exe" -fullscreen 0
If you want a choice of which mode, you can obviously make a second shortcut to reflect the above link so you can keep your old shortcut for times you want fullscreen instead. -

Is the infirmary useful?
[/ QUOTE ] Being able to go right to base when you die can be very useful if you have some medium/large inspirations stored in the base. You can stock up and go back to battle fairly quickly.
Along with the rez circle, you can also earn the ability to make an "Auto Doc" / "Tree of Wonders" by getting SG healing badges. These are also placed in a medical room, and can be used to quickly buy greens and blues. The 3rd SG healing badge is "Combat Logs" which can provide breakfrees. These are not necessarily "must haves", but can still be useful, especially for lower lvl characters.
As for storage.. obviously I keep a few inspiration bins there. It might be a good idea to put in a couple enhancement bins as well. Putting a Vault next to a crafting table makes it easy to craft IOs and put them in a bin to be picked up by your alternate toons when you re-log, or when they are high enough to use them.
If you are worried about people taking your stuff, you can set the permissions on each bin individually so you can keep your own items safe from the rest of the group if you like. -

It was a fun arc, and I got some great shots of the grave map so I'll be working on my August calendar soon. I'm not sure on the caption yet though.. Maybe just "Potter's Field"? lol
I'll post it in this thread (and my sig) when I'm done.
Edit: DONE! (and I think it's my new favorite)
August 2009 CoV Calendar
Please tell me what you think... Thanks
(Also, I didn't realize photobucket was resizing my images smaller, so I finally upgraded and fixed the resolution to it's intended size and quality. I fixed July also.)

Thank you! I didn't like the idea of calling it "Potters Field", since it wasn't actually outside in Sharkhead, so I ended up re-reading the story of the arc we ran to find out what that grave actually was... The Leviathan's Tomb. I'm not sure if it shows up in any other arcs, but it's keeping the name anyway. lol
I actually had to do a little extra work on this one because of the bright flames. The white text was kinda blending in, so I had to outline it a little before I copied it over. I'm thinking I probably should have done the same thing with the calendar grid, but maybe it's not that necessary. I also forgot to put in the gray numbers for previous/next month dates. Well, things to keep in mind for September.. which will probably be something with the new i15 TF. But I don't have to worry about that for quite a few more weeks now. lol
Thanks again for checking it out for me. -

I'm guessing we'll get a small increase with Going Rogue (maybe to 48), but I suppose I'm just optimistic.
[/ QUOTE ]
Personally, I *suspect* the most we'd see is an additional four unlocked (per server.) If you've used up all 36... I have no idea.
Then again, I do have two accounts. >.> Did that before the extra purchaseable slots came out, so I've got a ways to go - though some of my servers have all default slots plus an unlock or three filled.
[/ QUOTE ] The only reason I went with +12 is because that's how many currently fit on each "page". It would look silly with an extra 4 just hanging off the last page. lol
I also didn't mean to imply that we'd get all 12 for free.. but simply raise the cap another 12. The slots would still have to be bought or earned. Having a couple slots come with Going rogue wouldn't be such a bad idea either though. -
And just another quick bump for a super-early edition for next month:
