Game going down in 15 minutes. Most likely it's being fixed. Carry on!

Quote:Yes, it happens to everybody in the area when a Veteran Rikti Pet is spawned. People are griefing with it.Its happening every 5-10 minutes now... if peopel are causing they are doing it on purpose
I sent in a report earlier today and escalated to Senior Development, but have heard nothing back yet.
Until another patch is released to fix it, try to stay out of heavily populated areas. -
That happens to everybody in the area every time somebody summons a Veteran Rikti Pet. Some people think it's funny to grief with it I guess. It's becoming very wide-spread.
I reported it this morning and escalated to Senior Development, but have heard nothing back yet.
Until there is another patch, try not to go into heavily populated areas. -

Yes it's a feature, usually only available if you bought the new Science Pack... unless your account/character is bugged with rewards you didn't buy/earn.

Oh yeah... that would be protected as well. lol -
I have been using the Villain skin since day1. I don't see anything like that. It's not even an image, but a simple link to the quoted post.

Logically, yes.. but from a technical standpoint, the option doesn't just hide the window, but actually disables that part of the interface. The window commands only open and close windows. You can't open or display a part of the interface that's disabled.
Personally, I don't know why we even need the option to begin with. There is nothing wrong with leaving the word "Pets" there permanently... I guess.
If anything, substitute that option with an e-mail option to make some people happy that want to disable that part of the interface instead. lol
*note* From a technical standpoint again, it sounds like it'd be easy to exchange pets for email, but.. That wouldn't stop the e-mail feature from functioning altogether, and you'd still receive messages and get the "You have # emails" notifications, even though you can't see the actual window. Unless extra work was put into programming the option to take the extra necessary steps to completely disable the feature, those people would still have something to complain about... and even then, the option would no longer be appropriate for the "Window" section either. lol -
Quote:Just to clarify, the slash command to open/toggle the pet window does not do anything unless that option to display a pet window is enabled already. You can just type:
/toggle pets
That turns the Pet window open and closed.
Or:
Open the Options window (Hit the backslash and the letter "o" keys); select the "General" tab (the first tab); scroll to the second section marked "Window" and "Enable" the last option in that section, "Show Pet Window Option".
Then open your Team window by clicking the word "Team" on the border of your chat window (or hit the backslash and the letter "t" keys), then click the word "Pets" in the border area of the Team window".
Enable it with the steps above, or use a slash command:
/optionset showpets 1
THEN you can use a slash command to open the pet window, or click the word "Pets" on the Team window as described above.
Also, the window_name is PET, not pets, so the associated commands would be:
/toggle pet
/show pet
/window_show pet
/window_hide pet -

Just add the Forums that you are interested in and visit frequently, and there is no need to scroll through the main list. Bookmarking the English section instead of the main forums was the first thing I did, but the Forum Subscription is a HUGE WIN! You can pick forums from separate sections that way, read the one you want.. mark that forum as read. Click your CP, and move onto the next. lol

After picking the Forums I wanted, I changed my bookmark to the CP instead. I can even get to my social group very easily from that point. lol -

We did have a similar thing with the old boards, but it wasn't so easy to use as it is now.
Every time you post in a thread, you automatically subscribe. When you next visit, you just go to User CP, and all your subscribed threads with new posts are listed there. You don't even have to go to the front page of the forums.
And I guess I'm one of the few people who loves the new design. I like the colors. Looks very modern and Web 2.0-ish. -
Quote:Umm... I didn't see any post about admiting they had instability issues nor another Double XP weekend soon to make up for it.Quote:Greetings Players,
Due to the stability issues that occurred with the North American servers this past Double XP Weekend, we plan to offer another Double XP Weekend in North America after Issue 16 launches.
We would like to take this opportunity to apologize to those of you who were unable to enjoy the event as a result of this, and would like to thank you for your patience as we work to resolve these types of issues in the future.
We appreciate your continued support.

I ran a few TFs, and a bunch of radio missions. I didn't stay on the whole time and had other things going on, so I only gained about 110M badge progress.
Oh man, I need to really get off my behind next time. lol -
Quote:Longbow Spy-duh is 47/48, so I could probably use Challenge 5 to keep the foes at 50+, if we get more 50s to sign up and LK people.OK since we may have some Mentor/Lackey concerns, please post up your level so it makes it a little easier for my brain to figure out if the team will work...
For reference, Mr E-Mech is lvl 29
umm.. OK I'm getting carried away with the smileys.

Another plug for the new Freedom Horde Social Group!
We don't want to flood the social group area with too many normal posts, so PLEASE continue to use this forum to sign up for and discuss events, and join us in-game on the "Freedom TF Chat" global channel.
The group is designed to consolidate our threads into one easy place so everybody can find the new events (or even old event threads) quickly without having to search the forum. Use your "User CP" (located in the top-left corner of the forum) to access the "Networking > Social Groups" area. Once a member of this group, it will be listed at the top of the Social Group page for easy access.
Thank You, and enjoy the new forums!
As for this particular event:
Yes, I'm still a mission_holder on Longbow Spy-duh, and I'll be there of course. -

Quote:You must not have seen one in-game then. lolI had fun. Ran with friends, made inf, etc.
Tony, why not try to be a dev since you love 'em so much? lol. Personally, hanging with a dev doesn't sound as fun as killing stuff to me. Different strokes, i guess.
Last time I hung out with a dev, there were monsters running all over PocketD. There was LOTS of killing going on! Fun times I tell you! haha
But seriously, it is nice talking with them as well. Despite what many think, they do take our feedback seriously, and what better way to get a message across than to talk to one personally. And sometimes they will give you hints of things to come. -
This.
I was on Freedom server most of the time with no issue. There were a few rare rubberband hiccups, but nothing that interfered with gameplay at all.
I also decided to check out Protector to test it out and actually spent a few hours playing there as well. Despite the issues posted on the boards, I didn't have any problems playing there at all. If anything, performance was better than Freedom. lol
As for what I was doing..
I was working on my influence badges by doing Radio mission teams in PI. I also joined a few TFs over the course of the weekend, including: Faathim, ITF, LGTF, and Hess.
Yes, good times. -
