I think it will only send 1 e-mail per thread the first time a new message is added, rather than a new one every time there is a new message.
After reading, it might not realize you already read the first message unless you reset the "You last visited" date in the top right corner. You can do this by clicking on "Quick Links" and then "Mark forums Read" -
lol. Well it should take you the same amount of time it normally takes you to complete an update on Live. Being the first install, it might take a few extra minutes though. Either way I'm glad it saved you some time.

Quote:"10 times" is an accolade because it has a logical prerequisite of the first 9 badges, plus a reward for obtaining it (costume piece).I think the OP isn't saying redesign to make it easier, or to get something for nothing. He's saying that the badge type should be redesigned...as in "Not an Accolade". Accolades are special accomplishments, and previously, defeating Mary 10 Times WAS special...not required (you can't finish the TF without getting the accolade as it stands now).
10 Times the Victor should be moved from the "Accolade" listing into the "Defeat" listing.
That's how I'm reading the original post. Might be wrong, but anywho...

I guess the first 9 badges could have been intended to be used as some sort of meter to show how far you actually got in that mission (before her final defeat was required), but even then it's a silly idea.
At this point, I don't think there would be anything wrong with removing the first 9 badges and make "10 times" a defeat badge instead. -
Set up your Test directory the same way you normally would (Explained here in detail) but stop the client when it gets to the download. Then copy your Live "piggs" directory into your Test's folder. Run the Test client again, and it will only need to download a little update, instead of the complete set of files.
-
Usually, logging off the client, and logging back in makes it work on the next attempt. As suggested above, it can sometimes happen after taking a long time.
To prevent any issues, use the /respec inside a mission or SG base (where you wouldn't e logged off for inactivity anyway), and use a program like Mids' Hero Designer to plan the build ahead of time. Then it wont take so long to finish the process. -
Quote:Out of curiosity, I'm wondering what the list of Actions actually looks like on your "Game Account Details" page.Aggelakis, as I've said, I cannot do either. The option simply does not exist.
I'll call customer support tomorrow.
For example, my active (and subscribed with credit card) account shows:Quote:Change Password

Are there any other differences?

Quote:And yet for me, I actually upgraded to FF 3.5 to prevent a minor QoL issue I was having with an earlier version. I have also applied the Stylish add-on to take advantage of a self-modified version of Zombie's Forum Skin.I can also confirm this problem. I had to revert to IE or Google Chrome as FF 3.5 didn't let me log in properly.
I love the new forums more than ever.

Quote:No. You are not always "stuck".Using a second build can work if you have a bunch of +HP set bonuses, but if your WP...your stuck taking High Pain Tolerance with your first power pick. So no matter what you do you have quite a bit of xtra HP to deal with.
Second build is a good idea though, can't believe I never thought of that :P
Auto: [High Pain Tolerance] is only mandatory as a Secondary lvl 1 power on Brutes and Scrappers.
For Tanks, Willpower is a Primary Set and you can choose the Toggle: [Mind Over Body] instead.
For Stalkers, Auto: [High Pain Tolerance] is a Secondary lvl 2 power (as [Hide] is always lvl 1), and easily avoided as well.
This is why I said "possibly avoid +hp powers", and expanded to include bonuses and enhancements. I was just pointing out that not all WP toons are "screwed" as you put it. Only two types are locked in. The other two are not. In those cases, you can simply not enhance that power in the second build, and gimp the rest of that build to keep any IO set bonuses to a minimum as well.
Auto: [High Pain Tolerance] as used by level 50 Scrapper is only +133.86hp at base value.
Auto: [High Pain Tolerance] as used by level 50 Brute is only +149.93hp at base value.
That's the same as the 10%hp Accolades give you, and much less than all of the Accolades combined.
For example:
A level 50 Scrapper (of any type) with Portal Jockey, Freedom Phalanx Reserve, and Task Force Commander already has a bonus of +267.72hp
WP isn't any more "screwed" than any other character that has already earned several Accolades. -
Quote:Sounds to me like your case is a special one because of whatever they did to your account to apply the reward. Accounts handled in a normal way should not encounter a problem like this.I am paid up for well over a year once my award for winning their contest earlier this summer is applied
You'll have to contact them directly to fix your issue. -
Quote:-OR-If you WP your screwed. You have to get down to your original max HP before the damage counts towards the badge. It is very difficult if you have alot of extra HP. You have to find a situation where a certain mob can get you to half health...but not kill you. It's difficult, but it can be done. I think I used Nemesis for mine. You just have to find the right combination of ebemies to do the right amount of damage.
Good Luck!
Use a second build to possibly avoid +hp powers, bonuses, and enhancements to gimp yourself into making the badge easier to obtain. -
And in this case, it's easier/faster just to call so you can provide the required information in real-time, be it the Account-holder's name, previous payment information, or whatever else they happen to require from you as proof as ownership before resetting the password for you.

Quote:That sounds familiar...Take a peek at the "You last visited:" line at the top right, by your logged in username. That's getting stuck once in a while. Eventually, it'll hiccup and find the right time and your "go to new post" links will work again. And then it'll break. And then it'll work. And then it'll break.
*looks at Server Status.

Not sure how this applies to javascript, but have you tried using the tags as well? That should allow you to type whatever you want.
Example:

Edit: I just tried, and the trick doesn't appear to work either. It seems that it checks the post as text before it parses the post as code anyway, which would make the and
commands not execute at the time either, which is why it still yells at you. -
Quote:This.Adding a credit card will not charge you a new monthly fee until your current paid time is up.
So add the card, make the purchase, then remove the card.
Although with the weird Paypal thing being unable to cancel your account, I'm not sure how you'll be able to do that. I was under the impression you could add a credit card even if you paid by paypal.
If you paid for game-time using paypal, it probably only added time to your account, and you should still have a "subscribe" link to add a card from there. If you have a recurring paypal payment, you should then have the option to cancel/unsubscribe as well. How else would you stop paying for the game at any given time? If it isn't there, you aren't looking in the right place, or it's definitely bugged and needs to be reported. If you unsubscribe, it will then give you the "subscribe" option once you do that anyway. (In the meantime, your account will always remain active until the previously paid time expires, so don't worry about losing time by unsubscribing).
In either case, look at it this way... is it really that bad to buy another month of service using a different method? I mean, it's still your money, and if you aren't planning on staying another month, what would you need the extra slots for? lol -
I can't get myself involved in another game either. I'll be here for a while longer.
We'll miss you Marvel! I hope you at least come back and see us during the free weekends. -
Quote:Maybe it was 600, not the 1600 you remember? Or maybe the 1600 was on a different character. The hours are saved for each toon separately.I'm curious if allowing my account to deactivate reset my hours on patrol. I checked it night before last with my first ever toon, and it was 689. When I left the game a couple of years ago, I remember it being over 1600. Any other way to check total hours on a toon besides the "m" citizens?
Or, you accidentally checked an NPC with the letter N, which shows you the number of times you've gone on patrol, not the number of hours.
As a reference, one of my main characters is listed as going on patrol 1145 times, for a total of 2936 hours. -
I've only ever seen a "forcibly disconnected" message when 3 things happen:
1 - Server goes down for maintenance.
2 - Zone I was in crashed.
3 - I accidentally logged into the wrong account while dual-logging,
(but in this case, it instead says: "You have been forcibly disconnected from the server. This account is already currently logged in.") -

My spell checking didn't work for me on the new forums either. It works by default on the "reply to thread" pages, but not in the Quick Reply area. This might be because that form is disabled when the page loads. As mentioned, you can easily turn it back on by right clicking that particular text area.

Quote:I noticed it with my emp/rad Defender before the patch even came out. It wasn't as noticeable as the TP animation, but it was repeatable.I didn't see any problems with my Sniper attack, but then I only played one of my Blasters last night. There doesn't seem to be an issue with AR's Sniper Rifle at least.
Funny thing though, I checked it out just now to test it, and I didn't encounter the same behavior. Maybe it was some kind of lag issue? -
Quote:The base level of the mission should be your own level (it may jump up if you are close to leveling).Hello,
Im not sure if this bug has been posted yet... but, i have a lvl 28 character and sometimes her missions show as lvl 29 in the mission window. And then if i zone, or log off city of heroes and log back on, her missions will change back to the correct lvl, lvl 28. I have noticed this seems to happen when i change the Challenge Level of her missions. (doesnt matter if i make the challenge lvl less or more, it still will show her missions as lvl 29.)Anyone have any information on this bug?
Or is this not a bug, and there is just a new additional way of showing the Challenge Level of your missions now?
Edit: Also, i noticed once it happened when i entered the mission, the mission would be lvl 28, i would enter the mission and it would show as 29, exit and it would be lvl 28 again. This is not always the case though...mission have showed the wrong lvl when i have not yet entered the mission. I often have to reset the mission for the lvl to show correctly at all times.
Yes, the lvl may change depending on your challenge setting once the instance is actually loaded. That does not mean you are running a lvl 29 mission on Rugged, it just means that the Rugged setting bumped your lvl 28 foes up to lvl 29.
Viewing the mission info while not inside the mission should always show the base value because there is always the possibility of changing your challenge setting and resetting the mission.
As far as I know, it's working as designed. I've noticed it doing that since the first day that info was added.
