Quote:Until there is an official one:I am wondering if someone can point me to the Dev Digest? When I go to the one that is under Developement, it shows that the last posts are from 7-28-09 and that it is closed. Where is the new one?
Devian made his own Dev's Digest. Here is his post that links to it:

You can give him good Rep for putting in the work by clicking this icon:.
And here is the direct link to his Digest:

Quote:More specifically:A good place where I find information on missions and other stuff is Paragon Wiki. Good place to learn more about CoX
Here's the link.
http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/Doc_De..._the_recording
It has a screenshot of the inside of the building, but doesn't really have a walkthrough of how to get there though. -
-
Quote:You are half right. wiki.cohtitan.com was the direct link. www.paragonwiki.com is the pointer. It used to point to the old wikia site, and we were told not to use it until they could get the pointers switched over to the new page. The pointers were switched many issues ago, so it's definitely safe to use the paragonwiki links again. It's easier to remember/type-in also. lol. It's specifically just the wikia addresses that bring you to the wrong place.Actually, that's not correct either:
http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/The_Silver_Bullet_Badge
The wiki moved to the Titan Network some time back. My understanding is that the site you linked to is no longer being maintained (no idea why it hasn't been shut down). -
Quote:Oops, yep. I wasn't paying close attention to that detail and listed the wrong type of extension cable in my post.

Quote:And if you want to split hairs, "normally it does" is still true, as it was referring only to previous releases (as indicated by circumstances of "This time..." being explained separately) and still conforms to the standard of costume creator being available in those previous releases. The fact that it WILL no longer be the norm, is irrelevant in this usage. If you took it the wrong way, I'm sorry.Okay, if you want to be technical:
"Normally is does" is now incorrect as that won't be the case for any future closed beta sessions; as it gives the impression character creator access will be back. Going what by what the Devs had sid, it will not.
I didn't mention anything about future test releases in my post, and my direction to look in the Test Forum can provide anybody with the same information you "corrected me" with. Yes, your more-specific information was useful for you to add to this thread, but it doesn't make my post incorrect in any way. -
I have not seen or heard of any way to reverse the channels through software, but if you are really creative, you can rewire the plug or make your own adapter to reverse the channels (lol).
Realistically, the best/easiest thing to do is just set up the speakers where you want them, and then use a mini-jack extension cable to make it reach your computer tower. Such a cable can be found at almost any department store that has an electronics department.
Edit: The information above was providing the speaker was using a mini-jack connection. In your case of using a USB connection, you'd have to rewire the speaker or wire internally (lol again), or simply get the USB extension cable instead, which should also be easy to find in a local store. -
http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/Debt
Unfortunately, it appears to be a little outdated.
And for clarification, you get the badge for working off the debt, not for simply dying and accruing debt. The number of deaths needed will be skewed if you are at or near the debt-cap at any particular time, not to mention the number of times a person might die at other levels as well.
Also: A trick to earn a little extra credit for this badge at little to no effort is to simply get yourself killed before you log off. Any patrol-XP you would have earned will automatically work off the debt for you and count toward the badge when you log back in later. (Yes, even if you are lvl 50.) -
IF I make it, I will be bringing Master-Blade. He doesn't have Hess unlocked yet, so I'll be running a team to unlock him through Ouro on Thursday Night at 10pm Eastern. Anybody is welcome to come along and unlock him with me. I'm not going to crowd this thread with official sign-ups, so Team Leaders or anybody else interested in unlocking Hess, just send me a Private message on these forums or talk to me in-game so we can get a small team together.
EDIT:
For clarification, Hess is not required to be unlocked by anybody except for team leaders. I'm running this because I am a team leader who does not have it unlocked on the toon I am going to use, and offering other team leaders and anybody else a chance to unlock him for future use as well. Plus, it gives us something extra to put on the calendar and team up for. haha -
Quote:As these are not TFs en route to Task Force Commander, I am not selective about which toon I bring. (I also lucked out on the week this happened to fall. haha)Yep, I remember about MB not being in town, that's why I'm asking for anyone that has the contact unlocked to let me know just in case. I think we'll be fine either way
Anyway, I'm sure I have a character with it unlocked, especially my badge-hunter: MB. I'd probably bring him to work a little more on the inf badge anyway. I know he has all the TF/Trial badges already, but it doesn't mean he led the team.
I'll check later today or tomorrow if he has the contact unlocked, and I'll Ouro if necessary. Maybe I'll post it as an event so more people can run with me and unlock it as well. Feel free to send me a Global Tell and/or Private Message and/or keep your eyes on the Freedom Horde's Social Group if you are interested. -
Quote:Normally it does. This time it apparently doesn't. There might be a few threads about it in the Test Server forum.Quote:^^^
That's incorrect. In the last posts from Castle and Babs on this subject, the Devs always wanted to complete restrict the closed beta to the players invited to them; but they were unable to figure out how to block the character creator until recently. So, from this CoX closed beta forward, I would expect the character creator to be blocked until you're either:
1) Invited to the given closed beta
or
2) The open beta phase starts
Whether or not it was intended behavior before is beside the fact that it normally would have been possible to access it, but now you can't. And there are certainly threads about this in the forum I mentioned, including the posts that you are referring to. -

Quote:On a side note: (sorry for not mentioning it here sooner), you can reset that timer by using the "Forum Tools > Mark This Forum Read" and "Quick Links > Mark Forums Read" options.Take a peek at the "You last visited:" line at the top right, by your logged in username. That's getting stuck once in a while. Eventually, it'll hiccup and find the right time and your "go to new post" links will work again. And then it'll break. And then it'll work. And then it'll break.

I've seen strange behavior while editing text as well. I don't think it's strictly on his end.
As a workaround, I end up just using the arrow keys to select the location where I am typing. As for the backspace not working correctly for line breaks, I go to the end of the previous line and press Delete instead.
It is quite annoying. -
Quote:I just checked on that. Apparently it only comes pre-installed with Home Premium, Business, Enterprise, and Ultimate, but it should still be available to all Vista Versions by simply Enabling it.I am not seeing snipping tool under my list of accessories
Im going to look at the microsoft site and see if i can dl it from there
Install or Enable Snipping Tool in Windows Vista
Quote:Here’s how you can reveal the Snipping Tool in Windows Vista, if it’s not yet enabled in your system:
1. Click on Vista Start button, and go to Control Panel.
2. Click on Programs link.
3. Click on Turn Windows features on or off link. If User Account Control pops up for confirmation, click on Continue button.
4. Scroll down the list of features in Windows Features dialog window, tick the check box for Tablet-PC Optional Components to enable and show the Snipping Tool in Vista.
5. Click OK when done. -
I have noticed the same thing. It looks like many of the foes are using the purple Prestige Power Slide (without the foot aura). haha
I have also noticed the "twitch" on the map, where even the player arrows will rarely flicker into an alternate location.
Yep, the TP animation is bugged as well.
As for the angular terrain: An example of this is the location you appear in IP from Ouro (the sand just North of the Train). There seems to be a distinct "point" on the ground that I don't remember being there before. The base portal nearby also seems to be slightly covered by some of the terrain. You can notice this by looking down at it from above. There is also a distinct line in the grass where the Field Analyst is standing. -

Quote:Devian made his own Dev's Digest. Here is his post that links to it:My only question is why doesn't the Developer's Corner section work. That is where I went for all my info. Now all the links are broken.
Is there someplace new I should be heading?
Thanks

IIRC, Test is not open yet. Many of the new features are in the Character editor, so they apparently made sure they could restrict access to that as well.

The screenshot is failing when it's being copied with Printscreen. It doesnt matter what editor you paste the image into. It's still going to come out black. Yes, GIMP is a great image editor, but we need to get your picture into the clipboard correctly first.
Try this: Vista Clipboard Alternative: Snipping Tool
Quote:Besides that, there was a program that I used to have called HyperSnap that worked very well for taking pictures of game screens where you would normally get a black, or distorted screen. I'm not sure if there is still a free version, or if it works for Vista, but that might be your next option if the SnippingTool doesn't work the way you want it to.Some Vista users have reported that they cannot get their Clipboard to work correctly from a City of Heroes screen. They often wind up with a blank screen that gets pasted into the destination program. The solution is a program that comes standard with Vista called Snipping Tool which can be found under the Accessories sub-menu of the Start button's list of Programs.
The Snipping Tool actually gives better control of screenshots because it has features such as highlighting just one area of the screen to take a snapshot of. -
Unfortunately, "rad" might be too small of a term to search for. I ran into a similar issue the other day while searching for a specific "ill/rad" thread. It gave me an error saying the search terms were too small. I tried again just now and it simply says no matches.
You might have to search for "Radiation" instead, and hope somebody used the full word in their post. -

Sorry you didn't make it Turg. You missed the mini-competition for the "I phail" award, which was given to Silver not 5 minutes into the TF. lol
Nice job everybody! We steamrolled through once again. Now I just have to put some more enhancements in my Dwarf form. haha -
To reset this, you can log out, and log back in, or simply just use the option under "Quick Links" > "Mark Forums Read"
