It makes it very easy to use tilde as a quick Boss, hostage, or object finder. I just press the button and type what I want to search for, and search away. If I ever want/need stipulations like "enemy" or "alive", they can be added in just as easily too. -
MB's Lord Recluse Strike Force Team:
Quote:Finished in 1:52:491: Longbow Spy-duh : Widow
2: Ninpir Zombat : Mind/NRG Dom
3: Kin Rothko : Rad/Kin Corr
4: Krab Salad : Soldier
5: Storm Claud : Elec/Dark Brute
6: Major Skipper : Merc/Trap MM
7: Mr. Matchstick : Fire/Kin Corr
8: Muse of Destruction : Soldier
13 deaths.
Getting the team together was a little rough. We ended up with about 12 people wanting to play. (A few people left after hearing about E being sick.) People kept showing up and people kept leaving the team to make room. We finally settled on a team, and alt DC'd, so we waited a minute and replaced him with Muse (who was the frist one that stepped aside to begin with), and went on our way.
Nothing much to report from the first couple missions. We fought our way through as usual and didn't run into any problems. Our first run-in with the Heroes went smooth as well. The first pull for Numina pulled them all, but we took them down easily.
The next mission also went quite well. Paragon (Ninpir Zombat) kept the next set of Heroes sleeping as I pulled them one-by-one for easy defeats: Malaise, Swan, Luminary, Mynx, and then we dogpiled on Valkyrie to take her down twice. Paragon grabbed the computer and we TP'd ahead to take out Ms. Liberty, and that was the end of that. lol
In the last mission, it took us a minute to get set up as we waited for Statesman's buff to wear off, then Paragon kept all the AVs asleep as we pulled them on-by-one again: Numina, Synapse, Sister Psyche, Citadel, Manticore, BaB, Positron, and then dogpiled on Statesman for the win!
Nice job everybody! See you all for the next one! -
Quote:We hope you feel better E! I'll do my best to take your place tonight. Rest up, and we'll see you tomorrow.Guys, I hate to do this, especially at the last minute, but I need to pull out from tonight.
I am feeling like total crap & need to make this an early night.
I hope you still do the run without me & have some fun! Not too much though - I want to be missed! :smirk:
I'm going to pop in game to see if anyone is on so I can get the message to a live person. -
Quote:If you have images turned off, only the url to the image is linked. If the image was already a link to another location, there wont be any text lift to point to the intended url link, so it still only goes to whatever the img code was. That's why i have provided both an image and a text link in my signature, so people with images turned off can still get the full versions of my calendars, instead of just the thumbnails.Yeah, I dont know if you get the link, but here it is if your want to see the full image:

With i16 is the option to disable e-mail, or only allow people on your friends list to send it to you:
Quote:I am pleased to tell you that in Issue 16: Power Spectrum...
...
...
(Which reminds me, we’ve added new features to the in-game Email system to either shut it off entirely, or only receive emails from people on your friends list and/or people in your Supergroup. Another step in the battle against annoying in-game spam.)
...
...
(These changes are currently being tested in the Closed Beta for Issue 16, and may be changed/modified by the time they reach the Live servers) -
Yep. I see the same thing. If you stand on the billboard sign in your picture and overlook that hill.. that Talos area looks absolutely horrible. I wonder why the maps would change like this.
Did you get a chance to check out the Croatoa locations in the pictures I posted? (click for full size) -

I don't see the rep images as any larger.
Then again, I don't normally look at the rep. I have it disabled. It's meaningless when people run the rep-farms to bump it up anyway. (*cough)
As for the avatar, I have been using Zombie's new skin, so I no longer see the grey box anyway. -
Make sure you are using the "Quick Links > Mark forums read" option before you close your browser. It should reset the "You last visited" clock in the upper-right corner, and provide you with the correct new posts when you return.

I used the [url=full version www][img]thumbnail www[/img][/url] code for mine.
Manually insert it into your sig, instead of using the signature image option. -
For the record, I was standing in City Hall for a while yesterday while browsing the forums. I was randomly going back and forth chatting in various global channels, but not really doing much else in the game.
At some point (a couple hours later), I got a Windows error (not game error) saying that City of Heroes has encountered an issue and needs to be shut down. I didn't think about the memory issue at the time, or I would have checked before hitting End Task. It's possible the client somehow reached 2GB of usage and crashed out. Besides this one instance, I havn't had any issues, but I'll definately keep an eye on it to provide more information next time. -
If you use Firefox at work, you can use a plugin called Stylish, which allows you to change the way the forum looks.
Zombie_Man made a couple new skins which do exactly what you want. I love them:

If you wish, you can give him + rep by clicking this icon: -
Well, your Veteran Rewards dates are listed on the Game Account Details page. You can access this from plaync.com

The red lines should not be there, but a single strand every once in a while shouldn't make it unplayable either. I'm on freedom and see no red spikes (currently). I'd suspect there is a network issue somewhere between your system and the game server.

This usually happens for some people after alt-tabbing to a different application. The ALT key "sticks" on the program and thinks you are really hitting alt+1 alt+2 alt+3, which are the binds for the second tray. Tapping alt usually corrects the issue.

I just found an old screenshot I can use to compare,
Before:
After:
I don't think it's just the lighting that might be different now, and accenting the textures in a different way. Looking at the picture, it seems the terrain appears very similar, but this next picture (side view of the hill on the left side of the second picture), you can see they are bent differently to make "steps". It's hard for me to believe it's always been angled in that way:
-
Quote:The problem is bigger than I thought. After doing some Croatoa Arcs today, I noticed several map problems. I took pictures:As for the angular terrain: An example of this is the location you appear in IP from Ouro (the sand just North of the Train). There seems to be a distinct "point" on the ground that I don't remember being there before. The base portal nearby also seems to be slightly covered by some of the terrain. You can notice this by looking down at it from above. There is also a distinct line in the grass where the Field Analyst is standing.
Not only does the hillside in the distance have a clear problem, but there is a shadow issue on the right side as well.
The same shadow from picture one can be seen more clearly on the left side of this picture. It's just kinda hanging off the limb.
This is a closeup view of a small hill that would normally be nice and rounded, but is instead a few simple triangles.
To be clear, this is not a graphical side-effect of bad rendering. I'm not gonna sit here and say "I have great specs. This shouldn't be happening!", or "It didn't happen before. I have made no changes to my system.." blah blah.. The fact remains that the character reacts on the surface "correctly" as if it as actually slanted in that way, which means the server is interpreting it the same way as well.
I'll check the overworld for coordinates so people can check it out for themselves. Feedback is welcomed. I want to make sure others are seeing things the same way.

Howso? Isn't it scaled to the size the forum allows? To me, it looks the same as it always has.
I suppose I should just resize it myself anyway.
Edit: Manually fixed it to 100x100. Not sure why you were seeing it so big before. -
Wait until the end of the day/tomorrow. The reward should still add today, but not until the time of day you originally subscribed (YMMV). If it's not there by tomorrow, you'll have more to stand on when you send your report, but more than likely, you'll have it soon. Also, try relogging once in a while. Sometimes it wont reward to your character while it's idly logged on.

I think a few of us checked to re-verify this morning. All the wolves are part of a small Council group called the Warwolves and they all count for the badge, regardless if their name says Warwolf or not.

Quote:You'll need to get our forum html GreaseMonkeys who know how to do that to write a script for every link that references the old boards and flag it someway. Doubt Paragon Studios would put the effort into that.Quote:They would not hve to write a web script for every link, one script run over all threads during a normal maintenance period. I have had them run on web sites in the past, no biggie.
I haven't tinkered with such a thing, but I can't image it being very difficult.
But yes, you are right, the Dev's could probably do the same type of thing to the message database during a maintenance sometime, but as Zombie said, they might not, so this is the next best alternative. -
In that case, you can replace one of the recharge with Endurance Reduction for the higher-end powers, and/or use IO sets to get a little bit of everything, plus the set bonuses.
Or constantly team with somebody that will give you SB regularly. haha j.k -
