No, AE does not give you credit for ANY badges (not defeats, not inf, not damage, not healing, etc) except for AE badges.
Here is a link to my badge hunter: http://www.badge-hunter.com/view_player.php?id=14554
That website is very good in organizing the badges you have and shows you at the bottom which ones you still have left to get. As of right now, there are very few I have left to get that I have any control over, and I'll be getting a couple of them as soon as i16 hits. (Requirements for badges have been reduced in i16). Then it's just a matter of getting the dayjobs and earning any new badges that get released. -
Quote:Confirmed. I just went into "The Tunnels" in the Hollows and I see exactly what you show in your pictures. It looks great on Live, but it appears broken on Test:Was in the process of taking and editing in some screenshots. :P
edit: For anyone who wants to check out this same spot, its the entry to the first mission in Burke's arc, the "Get away with an op" one.

*summons BAB for questioning. lol -
Quote:You probably had to unsubscribe, then resubscribe to add the new card. There is also a time for the Test server to catch up to the game servers.
I have just changed banks and had to update my account. I can get onto normal NA servers but can't access the Test server.
That's technically considered a "re-activated" account, and is probably why you have to wait the same 48 hours to get back on as well. -
Test Server Access Takes Up To 48 Hours To Sync!
Quote:If you just signed up for another account, you probably just have to wait until tomorrow to use it on Test. This is just a general head's up that, when you first sign up for the game, or re-activate a previous account, the Test Server Authentication won't know that you are a valid account for up to 48 hours after you sign up. Until that happens, you won't be able to log into the Training Room test environment. The system may propagate your information considerably faster - however we don't guarantee that.
Our apologies for any inconvenience caused by this system and thank you in advance for your understanding. -
Quote:If you think something isn't fixed, post some specific examples so somebody can look into it..I actually hadn't noticed it on live, honestly. Not sure why... But when running the Kalinda's missions on test today, as well as some newspaper missions, I was seeing it all over the place.
My pictures show that it's fixed for the most part. I'd like to see what areas you are referring to so I can compare for myself as well. -
Quote:rofl. That's priceless. And you get your lip detail in it as well. haha. You could barely read "Red Scorch" at that size, also little details I enhanced on his face are pretty much lost. Like the definition in his lips, and the shadow under his mask. I have a new pic now. It isnt as cool as the old one, but hey it is the right size. If people dont like it, that is just too effin bad.
Thanks for the support man, but some of these greifing crybabies reported me to the Mods. So I am am just fed up with the b.s. "Your sig is too big" crap. So I just made this one to poke fun. -
Quote:If I played it the same way as you, I'm sure I would, but I used to run the ITF several times every night for a while last year and learned to avoid that type of situation. Most of the time, I lead this TF with my Tank and pull the Generals and EBs down the hill to the bridge (or when situations are right, somebody just solos the Gens on the hill while the group takes out the EBs on the bridge). That pretty much controls where the foes are and where the ambushes go. It has nothing to do with luck.So the entire gaming community except you have issues on this map? Care to stop by the store and pick me up a lottery ticket? :P
I used to do repeated sub30 speed-runs of this TF, and with people doing around only 20min runs these days, I'm obviously not the only person who isn't having much of an issue either, or else times like that would be impossible to achieve.
Quote:With all due respect, but it shouldn't be a "manageable situation if you play it differently". You should be able to play it the way you want without having to addapt your tactics to factor in lag.
It's an awesome TF, but that mission has BROKEN written all over it.Quote:I'm not saying that nothing is wrong
If you approach a situation the same way every single time, you are bound to get the same result. If you keep having issues or failing, then change the way you approach the situation and maybe you'll get a different result. -
Quote:Just farm now. You'll still have an accurate progress bar, you just wont earn the badge once you get the value shown.Yeah, now I feel like Immortal is within reach on my MM now.
The question is, do I farm for damage now to the amount I need for the last badge, or wait until i16 so I can see the more accurate progress bar amount I need?
Also, Dayjobs and Master of *insert taskforcehere* is left for me.
Wonder if there will ever be a Master badge for every TF in the near future? -
Quote:Just a side note, the "epic" badges have all been reduced again in i16, making some of them less-epic.Sure you're going after *all* the badges? There are tradeoffs for some - sure, a tank (for instance) would be survivable, eat damage without problems, but healing? Aid Other. Very slow. Time mezzed? You'll be farming. And IIRC some are made *more* difficult by +HP boosts some powersets get.
Also, of course - the "epic" badges take... er... a long time.
You may actually want to look into a mastermind. Yes, you can get mezzed, but you can eat damage (while in bodyguard mode) pretty well. And if your set has a heal of any sort (which several if not most do,) pet healing works toward healing badges. For "all around badging," I'd think you'd have to go least out of your way by playing a MM.

Even Empath was reduced yet again. -

Quote:Awwe. It was really a great picture though. It was just too big. You are being too hard on yourself. It doesn't look THAT bad at reduced size:Nah I am just gonna make something else. Something crappy lookin, but hey, it will be the right size at least. It might look like a hydra on a bad hair day, but it will be the right size. I wouldn't look forward to anything too spectacular. I will probably just revert back to a simple rectangle img. I don't have time to spend on a well masked .png just for people to hate on it again. Live n learn I guess.
See? With the sides enlarged to be readable, it would be perfect. No? -
To answer your question, the bulk of the download is the \City of Heroes\piggs\ directory, but to make it easier, you might as well just move the whole \City of Heroes\ folder over so you keep your default keybind files, saved costumes, and MA arcs as well.
If you are good with the registry, you can even save the CoH registry and reinstall it after as well so you don't lose your graphics preferences. If not, then don't even mess around with it.
Also, try this for more info:

Quote:Obviously it will be reduced detail at a smaller size. That's the nature of resolution. lolWow, I am such an IDIOT! I never thought of simply just shrinking my image in the middle! How could I overlook such a simple and obvious solution. *Evil stare*
The reason I did not do this is because it loses image detail. I am aware of ALL ways to shrink an image. I have a BFA thank you for your suggestion, but I got it covered.
I liked the picture and I'm sure you'll just redraw it at the smaller size and it'll look just fine. I look forward to seeing what you come up with. -
Try shrinking just the middle part, and leave the "wings" the same size so they are still readable. At least then you should be able to get it within the size limit.

Quote:I don't see the problem anymore on test. Compare these pictures taken from the exact same location, at the same exact time (I was logged into both at the same time). You can almost tell just from the thumbnail images, but click them for the full view and click back and forth to compare. You should see an obvious difference. Not sure if its just an older build currently on test, but this problem still seems to be around.

Thanks again BAB for the info on the fix. -
We'll have to start a Champion Horde soon. We can even make it an SG. haha j.k

I suggest writing a petition first, and don't claim any of the extra rewards. Make sure to specifically ask if you can use the character when you send your petition. They originally didn't want people to use the toons so it was easier for them to datamine it. Here is the post (which was also included on the Updater and GMOTD at the time): Issue with Vet Rewards and Trial Accounts (highlighted the important parts)Quote:I was given the green light to use my affected character 2 weeks after I reported it. I probably could have just used it sooner, but I kinda had to hound them about it a little by updating my petition a couple of times, and they finally told me: (highlighted the important part)
Attention Heroes and Villains,
We’re aware of a problem with certain accounts not receiving earned Veteran Rewards and/or gaining access to certain edition bonuses (like the Pocket D Teleporter or Rocket Pack) that were not purchased, or receiving more Veteran Rewards than they should have.
Some reports indicate that Trial Account limitations are being enforced on certain characters, with influence/infamy losses occurring through player trades, sales to NPC vendors or Auction House influence/Infamy redemption. If your character has been affected, please file a /petition or file a Support Ticket through our website with your account name, character name and Server. For debugging purposes, we ask that you do not log back into any affected character.

Thank you again for being so patient during this ordeal. At this time the Development Team is still unsure what caused this to happen but it does seem as though powers and items that may have been lost are being corrected automatically. This means that anything that you may have lost access to should have become available again. If you lost access to something that you've paid for that you have not regained access to (powers, costume parts, etc), please let us know as soon as possible and please include the specific items that are missing.
We are aware that certain Vet Rewards have also been affected as a result of this issue. While it doesn't appear as though access to Vet Rewards was lost, we are aware of some cases in which players gained access to Vet Rewards that they were not yet eligible for. If you have gained access to such rewards, we encourage you not to use them as they could cause problems with your character in the future when the bug is corrected. It is perfectly fine to use the characters themselves, however.
Please let us know if you have any additional questions or concerns.
I'm not saying to just go use the character anyway, but give them a reasonable time to check on it first before you do. -

Quote:I run the same 3 SFs every night at the same time, and constantly get half the merits cause I finish 5 minutes to fast for it to be 24hrs.Quote:I checked whether it was implemented or not first day i14 was released: ran the same tf on the same toon before 24 hours passed, and I wasn't hit by DR, so I assumed it was implemented.
Depending on how long the TFs were, he might be falling just under 18 hours as well, causing him to get half credit. -

It was said that it was changing to 18 hours.. but like everybody said.. we are unsure if it ever actually went live or not. It was suppose to... but there ya go.

This. He flies high and fast. With his Invisibility, you pretty much have to watch for minions around and follow them to find him... or get lucky/unlucky and run right into him. lol

I'll be there with MB.
