On a semi-related note, the waypoint in pocket D still always points to the Villain Elevator, even if you click on a Hero Exit. I believe the cause of this may be because that elevator's location is actually closer to those exits that are located severl feet above the dance area.
The same might be said for the "Seer Manino" waypoint. Because of that high fortress, the door inside the building (underground) may be closer to the mission door than the one on the outside, so it continuously points us in the wrong direction.
This is purely a theory, and would have to be tested further, but just giving myfor consideration for now.

Quote:Like Tog said, in the Test forums... the fix for both Brickstown and FF was listed in the patch notes for the recent patch that just went Live.We had this happen during the Manticore TF during DXP weekend with the same Defeat Security chief mission. We /bug'd it for an hour and ended up waiting for the timer to run out on the TF cause the GM never came. We seriously need a fix here.
We should be good now. If it happens again from this point forward, be sure to let people know. -
Quote:The background image is:Nothing in the CP about it. I don't know the name of the image to block; when the new forums first showed up I did look, but couldn't find it. I imagine it's buried in the style sheet somewhere? But even if I had the name/location, I don't know if it would work since it's in a style sheet?

I have the email turned off on my main character, but still on for the others. I ignored it before.. I still ignore it now. I don't even know if there is any difference.

Quote:It's no problem at all. That's what I'm in the forum for!Your response was extremely helpful and informative, Master Blade....thank you very much for taking the time to give it!
Yes, I believe he has the Tina arc still going on. And it's odd... it's stuck at lvl 45. Even though I do the missions within the arc, each mission is lvl 45. I shouldn't complain, I reckon... it will be just that much easier to complete them and get to Maria's!
Thanks again!
Tina's arc/missions are 40-45. It doesn't matter what lvl you are now, the highest they will go is 45. (not including any possible effect the difficulty settings may have on the mission)
You will find the same thing if you have any really low arc still open. A lvl 20-25 arc (for example) will still only be lvl 25, and you can breeze through it as a lvl 50. -
Compatible? Yes.
Officially supported? No. They don't even officially support Vista yet. lol

Currently, only Aion, Guild Wars and Lineage II are officially supported to play on Windows Vista. However, all of our products should play on Windows Vista without issue. -

Zombie Man's Villain & Hero Skins (vBulletin)
I use this, and it works great. If you know a little bit about programming, you can sift through the code and customize some of the changes as well.
Yes, I know that's for Firefox, but I believe he linked to a couple IE tools at the bottom of his main post as well. It might be worth checking out.
Good Luck! -
Typically, she wont give you the actual story arc unless you have almost no other Major Story Arcs open. You are only limited to a couple open at a time.
If you open your contacts list, you will see little books next to certain contacts. This means a story is open, and you'll need to finish some of those off before Maria will give you her arc.
I don't remember exactly how many arcs we are limited to (Edit: Each character may have a maximum of TWO active Major Arcs), or what the current colors of the bookmarks are to designate Minor and Major Arcs (those icons keep changing. lol), but from last memory... I believe dark green is Minor, and Cyan is Major. (Edit: Link above indicates I was correct, and it includes pictures for reference)
Clear a Cyan arc and try Maria again. If that doesn't work, clear another Cyan one, and she should give you the arc by then. If still not, then keep on her until she does. If she runs out of missions and STILL wont give you her arc.. well then maybe we got the bookmark colors wrong and you'll have to clear some of the other stories as well. lol

Quote:5 days between thereThis game must be the most maintenance intensive game I ever played
....
Thursday 8th, Tuesday 13th
Quote:Wednesday 14th (I do not know about Monday, I assumed it was on regular maintenance, so I planned something else).
There was no maintenance on Monday. The announced extension of DXP weekend led me to believe there wasn't going to be one (because there wasn't one Friday either), and there wasn't. Bad luck to you for doing something else that day.
Quote:And the week before double XP, it was patch time over additional maintenance.
Quote:They tell you maintenance is comming, normally the day before in the afternoon. I can't plan anything with so short a notice.
I'm so disappointed, I like the game, but I'm kept out of it most of my personal time.
I need to find some new game to play, but it is absolutely not what I want to do. I'm sad, I just love my toons.
.....
If that's all the spare time you have, and Maintenance is cutting into so much of it, then yes, I'd be looking for something else to do as well... but you have to look at the bigger picture...
I do feel your pain, believe me. When my work schedule was different (5am-11am), there was almost no point even having a day off from work, because by the time I woke up, the servers would be just going offline, and by the time the servers came back online, I would have been just coming home from work anyway. (I couldn't play just before maintenance cause I slept in on my days off. 5am isn't a fun schedule! lol)
As far as not planning something on short notice.. do you mean TFs? Why don't you plan for the game to be up and put a clause (If there is a patch update, we'll start at X time instead). Nobody can fault you for the whole game going offline.
But anyway, I dealt with it and realized there were other things I could do with that time. Laundry and other cleaning, or grocery shopping is stuff you have to do anyway, so why not get it done during maintenance? Then you wont have to stop playing to get it done later on anyway.
Now, I'm lucky enough to have a different work schedule (12pm-9pm), so I simply stay up late after work and play all I want, then go to sleep during the morning hours when the server is normally down for maintenance. I can't tell the difference anymore. The server is always up by the time I wake up. lol
I dunno. I subscribe to the Announcement forum and am alerted to any changes in the schedule. You're right, they tell you late the night before, but at least they tell us now. We had to fight to get that message we never got before. We're still trying to get them to MOTD it once in a while as well so non-forum goers can see it too, but that's the way it is for now.
I hope you don't decide to quit a game just because of a couple hours of maintenance. There has to be ways around it and lots of other time for you to play, and if there is no way for you to play at other times, then I wish you luck whatever you decide. -
Quote:I completely agree with you. My point was exactly that. Making a second badge character wasn't as hard as I thought it'd be, and not nearly as fulfilling as my first one... so I don't know if I would bother doing it again.. but who knows. On the other hand, because they are so much easier now, maybe the challenge is trying to get them on ALL your characters.. now THAT could take a while! lolPart of your fast progress is indeed in part due to recent long awaited changes in some badge criteria, however for things like the Ouro badges that can be done faster now since you have prior experience with the Ouro system and how its challenge settings can affect you plus market knowledge and experience can aid you in getting the market badges quicker.

That arc seems to have been originally designed to be done around lvl 30-35 or so, which should spawn both groups in the mission at the same time. It's when you do the arc at a lower or higher range that you end up seeing only one group or the other, and then the story doesn't make as much sense.

Quote:I agree with the idea to make another badge toon. Having 653 as a 39 month Vet, pretty much only missing dayjobs, I just finally decided to make another badge toon myself, but there is still a problem...Not so loud! They may raise the badge criteria! Seriously though gratz, my prime badge toon is wrapping up the dayjobs in about 2 months barring complications.
As to what to do when you get em all, that's easy you two options:
1. Relax, you made it!
2. Start another badge hunter.
On the new badge toon:
It took less than a day to get all the Exploration/History Badges.
It took less than a week to get all the Ouro and Invention Badges. Simply craft and sell/bid inbetween arcs. The cost was minimal. I actually ended up richer by the time I was done.
It only took a couple days to get all the PvP badges, including the Blue Ink Man and other badges you get only from PvP zones as well as the 400 rep badge. I'm only missing a few more Pillboxes in RV. I have the AVs already as well.
After only 2 nights of Heal-farming while I'm asleep and at work, I'm already at almost 7 Million. I should easily have Empath by this time tomorrow. It really puts to shame the work I spent getting Empath on my original badge hunter. (1 Billion FTL. lol)
All I've got left after less than a month of even trying are the Events that are coming up, a few random defeat badges which shouldn't take long, Damage farming, and then finish off Leader as well.. which is only a handful of TFs away for that toon... (which is actually closer than my main badge hunter is to Leader, lol).
So then what after that? Do I make a Third one? I dunno. I guess I'll see when I get there. I'll be making another post in the "600" thread for my next toon shortly I'm sure. She's at 561 currently. lol -

Yes, people have tried it:
Latest NVidia driver
That thread turned into another ATI-vs-NVidia debate, but the point is: the driver works great for those who have tried.
As for AA, I have a 9600GT and I've used FSAA set on 4x for a long time without any issues (as per jg0001's recommendations thread). I can't say I notice any real difference with the new drivers though. -
If you send more than one /petition, it's very likely you are going to get more than one response. The system doesn't know they are for the same issue. If you think you missed the GM and still need help, you should follow the link in your e-mail from the first /petition and update it so it goes back into their queue for help again.
Also, make sure you use the "stuck" option for any /petition you need actual help in-game with. It seems to give it a higher priority and faster response. I'm not going to say the responses are always immediate, but I've never had to wait several hours, even on a busy weekend. -
As it turns out, I need to address this as well. Tabby hasn't done this trial, so I'm locked in on taking her, and she's lvl 50 of course. I don't really have anybody else remotely in range anyway.
-
Sorry, I forgot to set the deaths. I'm sure we beat the other team's 50 though. lol
We almost killed the Head in 2 waves. It only had 75 hp left, so we blitzed it. Blitz, meaning we stuck together and took down each of the 4 gens quickly. We didn't even worry about clearing any of the Rikti ambushes or the ones guarding the Gens. Then I hit the head with the Particle Cannon for the easy win.
Nice job everybody! It was fun! See some of you on the revisit on Thursday night! -
Quote:I think he meant it this way..Well, 3 sets at 15% does equal 45% (.45). However, if you do have 4 sets of 9% (.09), then that should be a bonus of 36% and not 18%. So, that's screwy.
I have 4 sets that give me Accuracy:
9% bonus from one Large set
15% bonus from 3 Ultimates.
But I agree with you, he doesn't have just 1 of those, because a bonus of 0.18 reflects 2 Large sets of 9% each. He might have just missed the extra one on his Set Bonus /info. -
The number shown in Combat Attributes is right. The little popup info from under the status bar hasn't been accurate for a long time. People have been complaining about it for a while. Just ignore it for now.
As for your set bonuses.. you don't get 9% accuracy, you get a bonus of 9% of your base accuracy. Base Accuracy is 1.00x, so your bonus would only be 0.09x. It looks like you have 2 of those Large bonuses, not just 1, so that's giving you a bonus of 0.18x. A 15% bonus is 0.15x, so 3 Ultimates are combining to give you 0.45x.
1.00 + 0.18 + 0.45 = 1.63 -
The main data is the same. You'd save yourself a lot of downloading if you keep the data there and just overwrite the main client file itself.

Yes you can TP your pets.

The background is actually a 3d environment now. I don't think it can easily be replaced by a simple 2d image anymore.
And like Aggelakis implied, even if you were able to change it, it would probably stick to the background of your costume and power screens in the Tailor as well because they use the same environment. This can be verified because the "light/dark" toggle carries over to your character selection screen after visiting the tailor.
