Quote:From your link...Take a look at the wiki info on the mission. Its been a while since I ran this mish, but I recall Baphie being spawned long before I get to where he is.
http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Magus_Mu...rcle_of_Thorns
"Destroy each group performing a magical ritual. There should be nine of them. Be warned that other fiends may come through before the great beast, but that Baphomet himself will follow. If the rituals are halted, Baphomet will be forced to return to the abyss. "
"Baphomet will spawn approximately 15 minutes after the mission is assigned (1:45 left on timer)." -

Deaths.. maybe 30 or so?
To be honest, we didn't pay much attention. We treated the missions almost like a defeat all.. and we were getting mapserved through most of the second and third missions. It was fun, but glad it's over. I had a long week/weekend, and I'm going to sleep right through the morning tomorrow. haha
Good night and see you all next time!
*bah.. It's a new month! I need to get another calendar ready again. haha -
Somtimes you can also summon pets fery close to the side and they will appear outside the wall and attack the foe for you.
IIRC there was talk about a new upcoming feature that shows the last few mobs on a map once the total is below a certain percentage remaining.. it'd be nice to have a "pull" command for them as well.
In my experience, as far as the caves are concerned, letting the foe aggro to you and then leaving his range will make him jump back into the "playable area", but it doesn't quite work for square rooms like in an office or warehouse. -
Yes I agree it is annoying at times. It seems that the Arena, SG and Mission maps are all reported similarly because they are all somewhat personalized instances instead of public zones. I've seen any of the above 3 interchanged with each other for no reason... but SG and mission map seem to be the most common.

ITF:
If it was to an "Mo" run, I'd bring Robin, but I'm open for pretty much anything else... which means I'll probably have Tabby, lol.
Safeguard/Mayhem:
I shall do my homework.
I'm pretty sure my Brute is currently in Steel-range, but I might have him up to IP-range by then. (IP is the only one Robin still needs, so I was trying to get it for myself.. plus I'm actually getting into the character and playing him again even though it sucks. haha)
I believe my MM is currently in Bricks-range, so I'll get that one ready. I also have a couple real lowbies I'll check on and report back after tonights TF.
Heroside.. I've got lots of lvl-range possibilities, so I'll doublecheck and get them ready also. I should be able to have at least half of them ready for both sides.
Level ranges to get specific missions:
5-10 Atlas Park
10-15 Kings Row
15-20 Skyway City
20-25 Steel Canyon
25-30 Independence Port
30-35 Talos Island
35-40 Brickstown
40-45 Founders' Falls
45-50 Peregrine Island
Sidenote:
I've been wanting to run another respec on Villainside for a short while now (Robin needs one more of those badges), so I'd be interested in running one after the ITF this week if there is enough interest. -
Did the mission give you the other ambushes as well? IIRC, there are 5 ambushes, each within a minute or two of each other, and Baphomet is part of the 5th and last ambush.
If you didn't get ANY of the ambushes, then I'd say that mechanic is probably broken. I think he's supposed to spawn within the first 15 minutes of the mission. -

Quote:Hmm.. yes that is true, but those keys will automatically put your focus onto the input field, which may or may not mess up some other "startchat" binds to send to specific global channels. You don't need "C" to open the chat window in edit mode. The slash ( / ) and semi-colon ( ; ) do too.
The toggle bind is "cleaner" and will also close the window, whereas / and ; will not. -
Quote:You don't like Autorun (R)? lol j.k I know many people that hate it too.specifically:
/bind N "nop"
rinse and repeat for other offending keys (T, C, M, R, etc.)
Actually, I didn't clear the "C" button, as it allows me to open the chat window while in Base Edit mode. If you are hitting it accidentally, I recommend re-binding it to something like Shift-C or some other key you are unlikely to press by accident, but something you can remember so you can also open the chat window while in SG base edit mode... or if the window accidentally gets closed for some other reason.
/bind KEY windowtoggle chat
/bind KEY toggle chat
/bind KEY chat -
Quote:Actually, IIRC, the 3 missions that have 2 AVs in them are all "Defeat All" anyway, so you can't miss the AVs in there unless you are not in the mission when they are killed. Just make sure everybody on your team is inside the mission before you start fighting, because typically one of the AVs is right around the corner when you enter.ie there are two A/V's in one mish, but is not mentioned as a mission objective and can be easily overlooked.
That means redoing the arc to get to that mish again.
You might be thinking of Black Swan, who appears in the "Rescue the prisoner" mission about 2/3s the way through the arc. She is not listed as an objective, and if you ghost the mission and save the prisoner first, the mission will end. Most people recommend getting the AV before even looking for the prisoner, because even though you can remain inside the mission after it's over.. if you die during the AV fight, you wont be able to get back from the hospital/base and you may get yourself stuck outside the mission without credit for that AV, and you'd have to do the arc all over again. -
It's possible for a change in leadership to cause all kinds of odd behavior. So far, i have personally witnessed the following...
* Missions may be repeated.
* The contact might not talk to the leader (person with the star), but still responds to the old leader.
* Level of the team may decrease, but the level of the missions stay capped.
* Level of the mission may increase (if not already capped), but the level of the team does not change.
This is true of other TFs as well, not just LGTF... but I have not been able to come up with certain "steps to reproduce" to purposely cause any of the above behavior, other than.. keeping the same leader since the first team invite, and not ever disconnecting or relogging in any way seems to prevent it. -
Quote:An opportunity to link to this....Seems like Hamidon is getting ready for a Hero raid... he breaks into Atlas Park and completely obliterates everyone. He gets one merit for every hero, and if he manages to kill everyone, he gets a rare Statesman origin enhancement!
Hamidon attacks Ouroboros! (ok, it was just BaBs. lol) -
Quote:When they spoke, was it in speech bubbles, or was it limited to the pet chatter chat channel? If it was the latter, then that particular aspect is still broken.Quote:Petsay is not appearing in chat bubbles, so yes that's still broken.
Example:
/macro NPC "petsaypow "Assault Bot" I am just a pet.<em>Oh look!<em>Now I'm an NPC!"
Result:
[Pet](Player_name)(Pet_name): I am just a pet.
[NPC] Assault Bot: Oh look!
[NPC] Assault Bot: Now I'm an NPC!
There is a 1 second delay in-between each line of text, triggered by a single macro.
Image showing the Pet/NPC chat and bubbles, as well as the right-click of the macro button, showing the full code.
And for the record.. editing the < > characters themselves into a macro does not work, but creating a new macro with the symbols WILL work. You can then re-edit the macro text as many times as you want, as long as the < > symbols themselves are not touched, or you'll have to start again from scratch.
In short, YES, you can still make pet emotes in macro, but they can not me inserted into an existing macro. They need to have existed before it was "broken", or added as a new macro. -
Quote:I re-bound those keys to "nop" a long time ago so that pressing them does nothing, and I don't accidentally lose those windows.M opens and closes the map.
N makes the navigation UI appear and vanish.
C does the same for chat.
T toggles your targeting window.
I hit those by accident all the time. I'm not sure if there is a single key shortcut for the menu/health/end/xp UI, or the powers tray. If there is, I never seem to hit it by accident.
No, there is no shortcut or bind of any kind to close the status window.. as it's disappearance is considered a bug. It can only be re-opened with a command (or exiting SG base edit mode), but never closed on purpose (except for when entering SG base edit mode, or hiding the whole UI entirely). -
Honestly, I probably would have went with the CPU. For CoH's purposes, you don't necessarily have to go Quad unless you run several resource-hog backgrand programs and/or more than one account at a time... which means you might get more for your money with a higher Ghz Duo instead. You should be able to easily bump up to a 3Ghz for under $200.
Then again, with GR's graphical improvements coming next year, it might be beneficial to upgrade video as well, but I haven't been keeping up on the threads discussing that issue other than that most people suggest waiting until release time gets closer to finalize your upgrade plans as features may change, and so do prices. In either case, you'd probably want to bump up your processor anyway in the meantime, as it would be your clear bottleneck at that point. Without knowing more about your satisfaction/performance of your current video settings, I'd say the processor is actually your best bet for now if you don't want to wait. -
Quote:Also,
/windowshow health
should restore the health/end/menu bar if that's missing without messing with anything else.
Or there is also a slash command for it:
/quit -
Quote:I definitely have to agree with you on this one. As a badge-hunter, I went out and got that one right away, but during the "-1 age", I did happen to get "Mo.." on a couple secondary toons as well.. and this is how we felt afterward..I really want to the do the new Reichsman TF and get the new MO badges as well, but I don't want to do them too easily, that would spoil the fun of one of the most enjoyable aspects of them game for me.
MoSTF after defeating lvl 49 AVs, instead of lvl 54.
That was supposed to be hard? lol
It really does cheapen the "prize", especially for KhanTF and ITF that are already fairly easy TFs. We run scheduled multi-team TFs a couple times a week on Freedom, and I can't wait to have the challenge back... but in the meantime, I still enjoy being with a great group of people every week. -

Seems like some of them were still around at least until Wednesday afternoon..
Which threads/updates are you looking for or expecting? -
I'm pretty sure I saw them like that before Halloween. I couldn't give you an exact date though.. I just remember I was helping somebody build their base, and I was in mine making a spare room as an example and putting down random stuff, and I noticed the empty cases. The 12 month cases are not affected.. only some of the 30 month cases.

Quote:Well look at the bright side..That is so Trampled Death at Wal-Mart '08.
This year, the cool stores open at 4AM X.X (Only time I'm up at four am is to a) hit the snooze, or b) I'm about to go to bed...)
This year, Wal-mart has a couple dozen associates standing at the entrance doors to make sure people stand in a line and enter safely. They also have store maps on their website so you know exactly where the special item you are looking for is going to be. At least they are trying.. lol
Side note.. apparently people were lined up outside the Wal-mart here since yesterday afternoon. Benches, sleeping bags, the whole thing. I guess one group of people even tried to order delivery pizza to "the sidewalk in front of Wal-mart" haha -
*added to the Social Group thread.
I'm in. Toon selection pending based on the rest of the team. -

Quote:His comment/question regarding 6 toons was:Right. I agree about using Warburg. However the OP stated their intention to level toons just for this purpose and planned to use Bloody Bay. If the OP just levels them to the minimum for Bloody Bay:
1) They won't have their best attacks.
2) They won't even have SO's.
Therefore, it will take FAR longer to defeat the target and he won't need 6 toons to cycle through.
"if I use Warburg, it will mean I have to level at least 6 toons to 35? "
For that purpose, I suggest yes, and I agree with you that if he chooses Bloody bay, he might not need as many. Like I said.. if it takes you longer to cycle through, you'd need less toons. This is more of a "YMMV" thing, like I said before.
On a side note, Nemesis staff (if available) is a good alternative and then your target would probably only need one other hit (if attacking them with low hp).
I'd probably still make more than 3, just to be on the safe side anyway. The last thing you want is to be doing this and get into a rhythm and find out that you are killing them too soon and not getting credit. Leveling an extra toon or two up to lvl 15 shouldn't take very long anyway... and if it means you end up being fast enough to kill 4 toons every 5 minutes instead of only 3, that drops your total farming time by a couple hours.
