...androgynous? Hope you like, just a 20 minute warm up... but heck your costume was a no brainer.

edit (moved from Gearsmith's thread, sorry didn't mean to threadjack before...)

    O.O;;

That is the most marvelous thing.

I have a program on my computer that switches up my wallpapers. I just turned it off and set this as the wallpaper.

Thank you SOOOOOOOOO much! This is absolutely beautiful and one of the sweetest things I've ever seen on these boards! Thank you so much! Eep! I officially have fan art! (I know it's a gift, but considering you a fan sounds so cool!)

This just absolutely made my time here at City of Heroes! Thank you!

    Meep! ^_^

    ~m~

P.S. Good choice to avoid the sneakers. I'm still not sure about them.

P.P.S. My hair really is almost that exact length IRL.

    P.P.P.S. Meep!
  2. I'm sorry you feel that way. What specifically is the problem?
  3. I don’t know how that slipped through the cracks, but I apologize. We’ll include it next week. I’m very sorry about that.
  4. Ack ack! We been smacked!

    ... Was that a rhyme?
  5. In other news: This idea has hit flame status! Woot!
  6. Marcian Tobay doesn’t really fit into hero or villain side. Marcian does whatever is pleasing at the time (Really, I intend to have a version of Marcian on every server that’s slightly different to represent M’s shifting mood).

If you want a basic version, however, here are some pics of M in dress for the Rainbow Prom.

Almost all of M’s outfits are varied and situation appropriate, but the costumes are typically flamboyant and the snowflake always stays. The build was dominator with ice control/fire assault. Obviously, M’s extremely androgynous and it should not be easy to detect gender at all.
  7. That's what I was hoping. A Merchant would be ideal for the BM. My main, Julian Drake, is a multi billionaire, so I'd just slap on Merchant on the side and feel a bit more IC when it was easier for me to buy things than the average person.

His best friend, Steel Butterfly, is a bit of a loner who can barely tolerate him. It'd be quite fun if, after the Black Market purchasing, they went into a mission and she was like "Psh, let's see your money do THIS."

    ^_^ Basic idea.
  8. Crossword Puzzles are back, yo! Using the difficulty-o-meter that was discussed a while back, I’d rate this one an 8 out of 10. I’d be impressed beyond words if any one person could do it by themselves with minimal/no research.

    Good luck!
  9. Well, I had meant it. She posted in the thread for the 6th, so I guessed she wanted a back issue.
  10. Awesome interpretation. Good job!

    Sartori Tangier

    Loving it! Nice job!
  12. I tell ya, if I weren’t frightened of making ends meet this month, I’d heavily consider getting a picture to commemorate the server transfers (I have two characters that are finally going to “meet”).

Also, your art work is amazing. I hope that you make enough for this to be professional.

You know you could try doing a few for us to show us how you would like it done. We all have our own style for this and would welcome another viewpoint.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Which, incidentally, how MissAlphaOne got added to our team.

About the interviews: Teldon was busy this week so I volunteered to cover for him by supplying some in character interviews.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I thought it was a pretty cool change up. I'd like to see both types of interviews, maybe alternating weeks?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Which, incidentally, is why we brought in MissAlphaOne.

It’s all pretty hush hush (now we know why the Devs do it!), but we’ve been preparing a method of getting several new kinds of variety into the Scoop. I’ll give you a hint: I bet most of the Scoop is thinking “Déjà vu” as they read your post.

Something everyone needs to keep in mind when we're talking about this. The piece was initiated by the people who organized it. It wasn't our decision to cover it, it was our decision to include it because the people who did it were proud of their accomplishment, and did a nice job on the article.

what is it you guys actually do decide??? cuz every1 over there seems to be taking a "not me" attitude?

    [/ QUOTE ]

They decide on who gets to translate l33t-speak into real English.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    It isn't easy.

Excentric should know! Do you have any idea how hard it was to find a member of the PvP community that could do Dumok or Excentric’s high level of quality?
  16. You need to get Teldon in here.

    Now, dammit.

Quite a bit, really. If you'd like to see who takes responsibility for what, check the credits to the left hand of last week's issue.

Hertz recently stood up regarding the miscommunication on censorship that took place in another thread. I applaud him for that.

If you see something in the Scoop that isn't accredited in the Staff list section, feel free to ask. Beyond that, you may consider Hertz and myself responsible for the overall City Scoop, as we are the Editors in Chief.

Have to agree that the scoop on an event on the test server was a little misplaced. Make the scoop about the live servers, please.

I read the first city scoop moments before reading this one, and overall I was very impressed with both. I like the variety of stories and articles.

    [/ QUOTE ]

We’ve talked about this amongst ourselves, and we’ve come to the conclusion that the Test server contains its own community that should be treated exactly as well as the other communities in this game (servers, PvPers, fan art, etc.).

We also decided that it was a mistake to not acknowledge that this was a test server event, and that this news was relevant only to those that care about either Issue 10’s progress or the test server community. In the future, we will be more mindful of that. To put it more bluntly, shortly after people pointed out our mistake, there was a large collective slapping of foreheads as we realized our oversight.

    Mr.Wrong

    [ QUOTE ]
I agree with Goldbricker...99% of the work I do is erotic art, and if someone wants to tell me I'm not an artist because of that...their loss. You do some damn fine art, and don't let anyone tell you you're not an artist because your work isn't always safe for work.

That said...very nice work on Mr. Wrong. Can't wait to see it colored

    [/ QUOTE ]

I’m the kinda gal/guy who thinks that art is what you make it. That guy that spits sketches onto the street (check youtube for ‘spit art’) is an artist. I’m an artist, I just write stories instead of taking a brush or pencil or whatever it is you kids do.

Heck, half of ancient art we would currently consider erotica. Venus de Milo. David. That statue of Juliet that everyone second bases it with in Italy. The list goes on and on!

The most frustrating thing about art is when someone takes to defining it. You create art. Don’t worry anymore about it than that.

Also, Mr. Wrong rules. I love it!
  21. And TA continues to be the RoxXor...

*watches TA wander off into the sunset*
  22. Is City of Artists subscribed to Deviantart? I read that you can get some cool bonuses if you are. Figured that, if no one is paying for it, I can spot all y'all for, like, 3 months.

    ...

I REEEEEEAAALLLY got a soft spot for art. So much so that I'd like to improve your experience with Deviant Art if you feel you would appreciate that.

Some people only see the fact that I've drawn yet another half-nude picture of Gamma and can't appreciate the tongue-in-cheek nature of my response. So be it.

    [/ QUOTE ]

No, I see all of it. I appreciate all of it.

I just appreciate the rest more.

Between this and the Beefcake calender, I love art.
