a Hero Clix
[/ QUOTE ]
All I got out of your post was closure on the issue that Hero Clix will always sound plural and absurd. -

Ok, but I can't talk about Issue 11 or beyond... but that's pretty much what you guys WANT me to talk about so we are at an impass.

What if we just wanna chat?
How you doing, today, Mr. Miller? My, what fine weather were having. Sure is lovely with the right balance of cloud and blue. Mmmmhm. Good day. Good day. -

Issue 11 has them all changed to their desks, sorry!

They have different outfits, now?
I hope they arent as smelly. May I have Positrons Snake shirt? -
Tears are mysterious things. Much like curious kittens, they can be troublesome, embarrassing, and leave you constantly reaching for tissues, but when all is said and done, you are glad that they were there.
((How's that?)) -
I say they originated with me, Scarf_Girl insists that she sucks.
It's an odd repartee. -
By precedent being set, I meant that this forum seemed appropriate for people that chose to discuss all kinds of art, and writing is an art as well. I was hoping people followed that logic.
I have the same problem you do. Leeching writing styles. I think thats why I went with Snicket fiction after reading the books. The writing style is so distinctive, yah?
Sorry about Readers block. I hope you get over it soon. -
This person is awesome! Theyve nailed the humorous side of the costume editor perfectly.
I couldnt draw a scribble if you gave me a pencil during an epileptic seizure, but I hope someone gives this person their wish. -
Im not sure if this is the forum for it, but Ive seen a precedent set, and Im using it. If Im mistaken in the appropriateness of this, please tell me and Ill personally petition to have this thread deleted.
What I am about to link is, effectively, book the 14th of A Series of Unfortunate Events. Without ruining ASOUE for newcomers, this story is what I imagine would be inevitable next part of the journey into the Baudelaire history after the events of Book the 13th, The End.
Its incomplete fan fiction, to be sure. Im using this writing, however, as practice for my real novels, much in the way one grinds away in missions about which they do not care to prepare for the Rikti War Zone.
Be warned: This book assumes from Chapter 1 that youve read and understood the twists, turns, and misery of the extremely complicated history of the Baudelaire orphans.
Please be harsh and cruel in my writing style. Did I do a good impersonation of Lemony Snicket? Is the story coherent and quality? What about the characters? Are they good? May I have some sugar with my coffee?
Don't click here unless you have a fresh box of tissues. -
This is the greatest 1st post of all time.
Do you have your own religion and how do I convert? -
Your story sucks and I hope you die of ferret.
Alternate ending: Okay, Ill read it when I get the chance very soon. -
If Hugo has his own DA, maybe he can make a post on his main page saying that you speak for him?
-
I cant help but feel that if Hugo had some way of posting, a lot would be settled. This seems like some demented version of the game Telephone.
-
After reading all of this, Ive realized that the opinions are varied, wide and wild as the vast tundra.
I think the conclusion, average, and common denominator here is that everyone has a different view and to play it safe. In the future, Ill either wait for a cue to criticize or go by my prior experience with that person.
Thanks! -
Ah, yes, I can certainly understand the fear of Baby seal clubbers. Murderers though we are (and I confess that I do, on occasion, have baby seals brought to my chambers for the purpose of clubbing whilst listening to Baryshnikov), some of us are cool. Animosity possibly justified, I recommend benefit of the doubt. Even if 95% of PWNZ is jerks (which they arent), we arent risking baby seals here. Were risking five moments of our time with the potential pay off of getting to know really wonderful people. What you are risking and how big the risk are where the baby seal metaphor (and, with any luck, the baby seal itself) die.
After all, Ive met a fair share of jerks in the art forum. I saw someone refer to someone else as a scumbag that deserved no tolerance and was trying to ruin other peoples fun. If I hadnt looked past those accusations, I wouldnt have seen that both the accuser and the accused are great people that just misunderstood each other for a brief moment.
Sidenote 1: Yes, Im aware of awesomesauce. Im just not aware it could be shared. I now imagine us with champagne glasses filled with awesome sauce in one hand, bloody seal clubs in the other, sitting in a library and listening to relaxing piano by a fireside.
Sidenote 2: The only scarf I own in person is the gift my friend made me. Its an exact replica of Marks scarf from the play Rent. So good. -
Well, if my vouching does anything, Ill go to bat for her, then, when I say this was a miscommunication.
Also, please dont bring PWNZ into this. Im part of the PWNZ crew, as well. I just didnt think that the label was as important as my suggestion or ad for Darques commissions.
Even if Serenity was/is/were to be a jerk, she doesnt represent anyone more than herself.
On an increasingly irrelevant note, Ive never heard someone feeling awesomesauce towards someone else. Thats extra nifty. Ive meant to ask is your character nude in your avatar?
Edit: No. The boots and scarf are enough to warrant not nude.
Further Edit: Before you ask, Im the Official Ambassador of PWNZ Give you three guesses why. -
Scumbaggery? Tolerance?
Scarf, you know that I think that youre awesome, but I gottta tell you: Youre being too harsh on this situation. You just pointed out that its a miscommunication. Give advice on how not to do it in the future and move on, yah? -
Just as a heads up, I talk to Serenity a bit, so I figured Id pass some things on that she isnt saying.
1) The picture was already posted a full nine hours before Serenity posted it. She wasnt trying to steal it from anybody. She liked the work, is all
2) She already had seen it, but waited for both Hugo to post it on DA and for Kichis gift to have been presented. She had already had it and waited for two people to post before her.
3) Although I personally dont know the reasons why, Hugo cant post on the City of X boards (no account?). He wanted her to post this on his behalf. So, consider it Hugo posting.
While theres still controversy around the decision to post it, Serenity told me a bit of this stuff, so I figured Id point it out. Perhaps you came off a bit too strongly, Scarf? Phrases like have the decency, deprive, and horribly bad taste make your post too much of an attack, me thinks.
Ending in smilie, because all I want is understanding. -
This is me asking for etiquette exclusive to the art community:
Is unsolicited advice acceptable?
I ask because Ive been looking through the fantastic art of this community recently, and I saw one work that bordered on masterpiece, except for one thing that irks me. I look at it and think If only that were different, Id worship this work
The person who is displaying the piece did not ask for advice. They simply displayed the work and said Ta da! Should I just, then, say how much I liked it and not justify my lack of a perfect score? How do you all feel on the subject? -
I love the picture subtitles in the Top Secret section. It's really hilarious how they gradually get less impressive.
"Firelord reigns supreme!"
"Aztec disturbs"
"Naberus scares the bajesus"
"Zimm surrenders"

I just like that the wisps are enjoying the entire ordeal.
Also, wisp should have an h in it. Whisp. Yeah whisp. -
Im just tryin to play the game to which there are no rules.

LadyJudgement is a beautiful person whose very smile would convince you that the almighty is pleased with how youve lived your life.
