Edit: Whoa, double post.
-
Okay, now you're just screwin' with us.
What the heck, guys? What the heck?
WAY too much love for this ad campaign.
Different since 1937? This isnt a future without _you_, this is flat out a parallel dimension. We arent even a part of the equation! -
In the Hat is the family name. Guy is the elder brother. Man is, oddly, the little sister.
-
GUY in the hat! The adventures of the GUY in the hat!
Geeze! -

So, what you're saying is that.... you got beat by a girl.
<GRIN>
[/ QUOTE ]
I know some who'd argue that's the best way to get beat. I'm just sayin'.
[/ QUOTE ]
I've never said this before, but...
I see what you did there. -

To quote Posi from the latest City Scoop:
I really wish we could have done more with Epic Archetypes. I think we put in Kheldians too soon because we didnt have a solid plan on following them up with more EATs, which is now painfully obvious to the playerbase.
[/ QUOTE ]
Wait a sec - there were never, ever, unequivocally, beyond the shadow of a doubt, any plans whatsoever to implement Villain EATs?
[/ QUOTE ]
Well considering that they added the kheldians in Issue 2 or Issue 3 (not sure on that), of course they didn't have plans for a Villian EAT since COV didn't come out till Issue 7.
[/ QUOTE ]
Shoo! Shoo! Go discuss this in the City Scoop thread! It needs bumping! -

Meh. I guarantee almost everyone would be a Student with a respecced 50 being an instructor.
[/ QUOTE ]
Interesting. Didn't think of there being a standard type. I wouldn't bother with it most of the time. It requires lots of team play and heavy reliance on Lackies/Sidekicks for that to happen. People that Solo or don't like traveling out of their power level (which oft requires going to places too difficult for one's self) would find Student more of a burden than anything.
Still, an interesting thought... -
Cool! Lots o' feedback! Thankies!

One thing I'd like to see, dear editors and contributors - how about one piece by the spotlight artist? Show off their skills. Something excellent, like THIS wonderful piece!
Seriously, this guy is very, very good - check out his web site or DA page - you'll see alot of CoH/V characters there.
[/ QUOTE ]
Any and all art must be submitted in this thread by someone who has the authority to give permission for others to use it. It's a very lovely piece, and I hope to see it in an upcoming Scoop! -

I REALLY want to know who that Orouboros insignia belongs to.
[/ QUOTE ]
I dont think that it belongs to anyone in particular. I think it symbolizes that rejuvenation and new beginning. The concept of Issue 11. -
Ya know what this is? People have often complained that they dont feel heroic enough. The Devs, in addition to giving us content, are doing pulling a Its a Wonderful Life and showing us just how heroic/villainous our characters are and everything theyve accomplished.
Nice. -
They be beta testing the Halloween event first.

PS Devs: Please don't retcon me into a dead guy
[/ QUOTE ]
Thats a sig and a half right there. -
The ouroboros represents a new beginning.
An alternate time line without, as warcabbit put it, _you_, from level one.
Ladies and gentlemen, with Warcabbits brilliant insight, weve cracked the surface of the story for Issue 11. Very awesome. -
[ QUOTE ]
Indeed. It states clearly that Jenkins was captured, and that no cure was found for the plague. You get the cure in the last mission in Outbreak, and you rescue Jenkins in the last mission in Breakout.
This is Paragon... without _you_.
[/ QUOTE ]
Dude.
Warcabbit got it. Thats gotta be it. -

Remember Vanguard's warnings in the comic? I definitely think this will have something to do with Arachnos and not Nemesis (unfortunately).

Also, the issue of the newspaper is Issue 11. Nice.
I am further venturing that there is something to taking a level 50 character and being able to play the game all over again with that character.
[/ QUOTE ]
I was thinking of something similar. You hit 50 and then you get to play Game B.
I actually suggested something like this a couple years ago (although my version was to a dimension ruled by Talos where you started in Peregrine and worked back to Atlas to fight him). Considering how the instancing of zones work, it's very workable for them to have two versions of Talos (normal and Game B) exist simultaneously.
Either that or they've approached Flashback from a drastically different angle. Rather than going back and playing missions you've completed, you hop to a different timeline and are able to participate in the content in a very different manner.
Whatever it is, this is some of the best hyping that's been done for an issue in recent times.
[/ QUOTE ]
Im combining your statement with Lady Sadakos above and saying that were onto something here
course, I readily admit that Im biased by wishful thinking of how cool that would be. -
Issue 11s name may be a reference to a Phoenix.

People
This is Issue 11 right here.
Think about it. Matt Miller wore a Ouroboros shirtto PAX. Word spread that it represented a clue to Issue 11
The snake eating self indicates a cycle. Repetition from the beginning.
This article references Outbreak (the beginning of Heroside) and the Zig (the beginning of Villainside), with slight variations that make the current story impossible.
Issue 11 is going to have something to do with new beginnings. Beginnings like these.
Can I get a Red Name nod? -

Could it be that the receptionist isn't a huge nerd like everyone else at Cryptic?!
No! I refuse to believe!
(note: by now, it should be obvious that my calling the devs & NC staff "nerds" is a gesture of affection. We're ALL nerds to some degree around here, and I wear it as a badge of honor.)

I called the receptionist at Cryptic. Apparently his phone isnt linked to Castle
