I bet in Praetoria nobody has to worry about getting their purse snatched every hour of every day.
Don't fall for the trap. Each post is a straw. This thread is a camel.

A camel of power, strength, and unity.

In there, you find out that the location your resistance contact sent you to is a military base where the 6-year-old son of one of the top brass was being kept safe, and the choices are to either kidnap him to force the rescue (knowing that there's going to be some damage to the kid whether they comply or not, you can't make empty threats and I'm sure the kid ain't going to be too thrilled about being kidnapped), or leave and let the executions begin. No time for other plans.

    Go!

That's just a simple example for shock value. They've said repeatedly that not everything is nice and rosy in two colours in Praetoria, so I expect some delicious moral dilemmas.
What kid? Oh, the charred pile of mess on the floor?
  4. Hey everyone,

Just wanted to let you know that I've set up an In Character Twitter account for my Protector main: CheckPoint Charlie!

Be sure to look up Checkpoint Charlie's twitter page when you get the chance.

    Quick notes on it:
    • The whole account will be in character as a Fire/Kin Controller with the super speed to Tweet her adventures as she is having them.
    • This is a real character on the Protector server. You can look her up, team with her, and probably get a nod on her Twitter account.
    • The account will have non-sequiturs, sub-plots, and the overarching story of her leaving retirement in her hometown to become a Security Level 50 Hero in Paragon City.
    • Tons of inside jokes. Tons.

Feel free to talk to "her" via Twitter and send invites in game. Thanks for reading, and have a good day!

    ~M T~

Edit: If you wish to join the fun with an in-character Twitter account, be sure to include #CoHDiary in the occasional tweet. Let's find each other!

(Thanks to @slickriptide for the idea and @soultrain0217 for the name. ^_^ )

  8. Personally, I'm not interested too much in this beyond a trinket. Let's however, see the fact that many players wanted it, and they got it.

I'm quite happy for them. Probably Role Players...

... In fact... I think I'll be obligated to saunter when dealing with the Artful Dodgers going forward.
  9. 'Cuz now you can.

    Currently on the Test server:

    Quote:
Walk Power - All characters will now have access to a new inherent power -- Walk! This toggle power enables characters to move at a comfortable walking pace.

The “Walk” power is an Inherent toggle power given to all characters at Level 2 (like Sprint).

Please Note that powers or jumping (i.e. pressing the Space Bar) cannot be used while walking.

This power is not intended for use in combat.

The soda of accountability is indecent at this table and would look tacky. Thusly, we sip it discretely behind doors and promise you that it is delicious.

Not until you can imagine someone using:

    "And the rest"

With a straight face. It's for this reason the Developers have openly regretted the Pirate Hook. Any costume piece designed needs to look good in 90%* of the situations a player would naturally put it in for it to be a reasonable request.

Sorry, but it's not a technically viable option.

*I do not remember the exact number, but Sexy Jay said they had a rough guesstimate of a percentage that fits in the above statement for costume design.

Some propaganda posters with slogans like "the enemies of Praetoria have many faces - be vigliant!" would help with the brainwashing

In fact, Tyrant might even secretly allow a certian level of activity by the Syndicate as an example of what life would be like if the Resistance overthrew him.
He could even have spies in the Syndicate, helping to direct their operations.
Orion! We need to photoshop that propaganda! Holy awesome! Lumping the Syndicate and Resistance together as "Non-Praetorians" would be a great way to quell curiosity about dangerous freedoms...

That's... actually brilliant. I love it.

Loyalists, we're reclassifying Resistance members as "not citizens" of Praetoia, thus keeping our crime rate at 0%!

  18. Let's hit "Refresh".

Everyone take deep breaths, say "All Hail Emporer Cole" and begin drafting plans to destroy the Resistance. These plans can include Rick Rolls, LoLCats, and Mass genocide.
