When Aurora volunteered to host Praetor Tilman's consciousness, Scott didn't believe it. His wife wouldn't have done such a thing without at least talking to him first.

See that. Reason to believe his wife wasn't even doing this willingly.

He questioned the Praetor about his wife's decision, but those questions were ignored by both Praetor Tilman and Emperor Cole. Shortly after he questioned the Emperor, Calvin found himself admitted to the Mother of Mercy Psychiatric Hospital by the Emperor's decree and placed under Tilman's personal care. Tormented by the demon wearing his wife's body, something inside Calvin--a sensation he had never really felt before--rose to the surface: a pure, burning rage.

Then there's the rest of it.

He's not looking to just get that piece of tail back. He's trying to save his wife.

His whole bio reads to me that his wife was taken against her will. And if not against her will, something more was done to her after the fact (ie...Sure I'll help you. It won't hurt my life will it? Of course not. You'll never even know I'm there. HAHAHA SUCKER! *traps her psyche deep down and takes control*).

This doesn't read to me "I got dumped. Now I'll get her back or I'll get even."

Now mind you...in good story fashion, Calvin can be put through the questions...

What if he's wrong? What if she did just change out of the blue? What then? Does he keep fighting? If so, what are his reasons for fighting now?

Right now, he's fighting to get his wife back, because he basically thinks she's been taken against her will (which could be the case).
Okay, obviously she volunteered. Cole has our best interest at heart and Aurora saw that. There'd be no need to lie or mind control...

... but let's go with your cough theory. Let's say that he "volunteered" her against her will.

    So what?

I mean it. In your Primal Earth, people are forced to sign up for the draft in the army and to pay taxes. This is taking of a person for the greater good of their country. Why is that all right but tasking one person not? Maybe if we pressed entirety of our 18 year old men into joining wars in which they don't believe... maybe then we'd be as free as you, right?
  2. Calvin Scott is the demon of lust that threatens the strength and peace of Praetoria. In the name of Emperor Cole, protect our way of life.

Not a retcon at all, but to be completely "Rules lawyer", no one ever explicitly stated that they were sleeping together. There was text that heavily implied that, but the phrase "They are lovers" was never typed. That's their out.

Either way... a single creepy relationship vs. a man crumbling a literal empire just to get back the woman who willingly left him!? Yeah, I'd take the former and get the latter on Dr. Phil.

She moved on. You need too, as well.

Edit: Seriously? When and why did I start my "Picture in every post" phase!?

Hey! Dominatrix and Tyrant adore each other!

(Also, I'm fairly certain that they're editing out the, ah, naughty bits of Team Tyranatrix.)

Cole felt despair and created an empire. Scott felt despair and sought to destroy it.

We need to start making propaganda posters STAT.

Just saw your post. Then read this post. Love your theory.

Hey, everyone! We found the supers that "Volunteered for overseas operations". Search is off. Clear the sides of the milk cartons!

  11. All hail, Calvin Scott! He once had a lover, but he doesn't anymore. As a result, he's willing to bring down what is possibly the most secure empire in a multitude of dimensions.

He claims that his fight is with Tyrant, whom he once proudly called Emperor Cole, but in truth, the Resistance is just a means to an end for him. Calvin is going to get his wife back--or he's going to burn the world down around him trying.

There is your hero, Resistance members. A man who would literally bring down empires for a piece of tail he once had. Isn't that the most noble way?

    Long live Emperor Cole
  12. Night Widow. Sorry, got the terms mixed up. ^_^;;
  13. I'm not very good at designing builds in this game, and as I reach level 24 for my Blood Widow, I'm fairly lost.

What skills are absolutely necessary for a Blood Widow? Which are a waste of time? Is there a resource online where people share their builds?

    Thanks!

I've experienced both. My first 2x experience weekend was full of people that were infuriated that I was "doing it wrong". This last one was one of the greatest tea parties I've ever attended, and I had a blast with a PuG that waited for each other and didn't know what it was doing.

It should be fairly easy for them to check and refund this, if they use a system similar to the ones with which I am familiar. Sorry to hear that you lost it, and here's hoping it's only temporary.

That's sort of my ulterior motive to this thread. I'm trying to prove that the lines are blurred enough that maybe those that think Farming and/or Power Leveling are bad should just, ya know, calm down a bit, since they probably do it, too, to a degree.
