Quote:I guess marketing could be doing better getting the word out to "The Others", but we here actually in the City of Heroes have heard quite a deal. Still, your point is made.To give everyone the benefit of the doubt, let me express that my comments were not meant to be humorous, but to shamelessly belittle marketing.

But I'm guessing if we did like your humor, you wouldn't have been so dismissive. Our opinions only don't matter if they disagree with you?
Or would you have reiterated how "We don't knoooow you" if we liked the joke? I'm just curious. I find "outs" like the one you used fascinating.
I also find Poker Face played on the piano to be interesting, so I can't speak to highly of my own tastes.
Though if musical taste or culinary taste, I wouldn't let me near so much as a Pop Tart. -
Quote:The name seems to be all they have in common. That being said, it seems... interesting.I'm reporting the devs for infringing copyright.
Or it this one of those things that's cool when they do it? -
*Sigh* Okay, another Loyalist propaganda post going up in a bit...

Quote:Going to just quote this as it encapsulates everything I wanted to post.Okay, dude, people need to stop equating furries with sex. That's like saying "This is anime" and linking a screencap from a poorly-dubbed hentai, while ignoring the existence of high-budget, nonsexual things like Hayao Miyazaki films. You know what else is a furry? This. Here is another. Getting into things I didn't draw myself, we have this and this. I fail to see anything creepy about these characters, and I curse the very loud minority of furries who give a bad name to all fans of the subset of anthropomorphic art - and a quick search on Google will get you just as much creepy stuff, plenty of it creepier than that picture by a large margin, of human superheroes (a search for Sue Storm yesterday, to get ideas on how to render partial invisibility, brought up some stuff that was downright disturbing... with Safe Search ON).
For the record, I dig humans.
The ignorance is just embarrassing and finding it "creepy" is immature. It isn't your taste. End of story.
Oh, and to channel by days in the now defunct PWNZ forums: "lol gamers ostracizing people for being weird and different." -
Quote:Word. I'm just going to keep doing this until they do something balancing like making the Jet Pack only available for level 30's and above.Considering I've been doing that on new characters, and supplimenting it with Ninja Run, since I got the Natural Booster Pack...
-
I just realized that if I'm careful enough to constantly supply my character with Jetpack, I won't need to take a travel power pool. Would anyone else agree that this is a good idea?

New Question: Why does everyone keep referring to the "Comedy" arcs? Are there a surplus? Are they actually funny?
Again, as someone who hasn't had more than a couple hours a month to play the game for most of '10, I lack personal perspective. Hoping to gain some soon.
Edit: Oh, and my hidden agenda is relatively blatant: I'm trying to generate a thread that both stimulates conversation and is easily harvested by Red Names for feedback. -

My experiences in this thread tell me that this idea is still a good one. Rather than repost it, I shall save the forum resources and simply give an epic bump.
Please review and provide feedback. Thank you. -
I think a fairly consistent voice here is that people are having difficulty fully reaping the brain juices of the more effective story tellers amongst us (Of whom I humbly admit I am NOT one).
As an FYI, I started a thread several months ago regarding a new MA Layout suggestion I drew up. You're all welcome to review it here.
Ending thread jack... now. -
I'm curious. All I hear anyone talk about on the boards is how they nerfed the EXP here or such a mechanic is questionable.
While the system obviously has its own mechanical implications (farming, Architect tickets, etc.), the developers were pretty blatant about their desire for this to primarily be an engine for story telling.
So, here's the incredible vague thing I'm asking:
If you interact with the Mission Architect primarily because of its story capabilities, what are your current thoughts on it? Are you bored with it because you've played all the good stories? Happy with it because the stories are endless? Do you get a fair rotation of players?
Due to time constraints, I've barely played anything until just recently, so my perspective is unwillingly myopic. Help me out here.
Thanks!
Has anyone translated this into the AE yet? -
Quote:...Our Sovereign Lord the King chargeth and commandeth all persons, being assembled, immediately to disperse themselves, and peaceably to depart to their habitations, or to their lawful business, upon the pains contained in the act made in the first year of King George, for preventing tumults and riotous assemblies. God Save the King!
I'm confused, but I accept. -
Everyone's being kind of hard on someone who asked a simple question...
Not that I have any stake in this. I just wanted to find a context where I could say "hard on" without getting into trouble. -

As long as the Sheep Don and his trusty Lambert can rise once more, I am okay with this.
VENGEANCE! -
Quote:The issue is continually money. I don't you're being snubbed; you're being resourced. They'd have to fly all of their schtuff over to Europe. The flight there is significantly further than the flight from California would be.I was going to mention this too but hey, you beat me to it.
Some love for those of us outside of the US would be really nice.
It's not a happy situation, and I don't think they made it lightly, but maybe it helps to know that they'd more than likely be out there if they could.
Ya know, the difference between dad not being at your birthday part because there was a car accident on the freeway and not being there because he was in the other room explaining to your mom why his secretary has her own unlabeled tape in the "Friday Night Camcorder Gallery".
Edit: That last part was too much stream of consciousness. -

As long as you bring Ms. Liberty to one of West Coast Meet and Greets, I love this idea. This is a fantastic way to share the love and show people the country over how fantastic our Devs are.
I'll see you at the San Diego event, should this continue as planned.
