Thank you, War Witch and team, for an incredible game. You all did a great job. My partner and I are having a fantastic time exploring every avenue of this update. You really knocked it out of the park.

- Oh. Morality.
Do some street sweeping. Sweep until you get a "Tip". This is a mission that leads you to make a moral choice towards the end. Make the more redeeming missions. Eventually this will trigger A Series of Fortunate Events that let you become a Rogue. While as a Rogue, repeat this, and you will become a Hero.
Note that, as a Rogue, you can do Radio and Newspaper missions, but your ability to contact, er... Contacts... will be limited.
Good luck and congratulations on your redemption!
Alternatively, I hope you fail and forget you for joining the goodie two show blinder-alliance. -
Quote:Fair enough.Those aren't spoilers
It's not like I'm telling you who the leader of the Ghouls is, or who Praetorian Penelope Yin's mother is
Just giving brief and vague mentions of a couple of Resistance missions aren't spoilers - like you've still got no idea why they happen, who does them, or when
You should probably start a Resistance Thread. -
Spoilers, sweet pea?
-
Yeah, Resistance seemed the most obvious choice for me in concept as well. As you can tell from my most recent posts in this thread, though, I really like the idea of a character that can't reconcile his own being a nice guy with the dark side of Loyalists... so he doesn't.

Quote:Edward Nigma?Dunno, but if I find 'em, I'll let you know. But yeah, theres actual continuity, and theres even an overarching plotline that's slowly being revealed throughout the episodes (Concerning the disparence of a past group of mystery solving teams, and the role of someone who only calls himself "Mister E")
-
Quote:Continuity? In my Scooby Snacks? It's more likely than you think!I'll be honest, the last Scooby Doo series I actually liked was a Pup Named Scooby-Doo. Most of the recent stuff has *SUCKED*, big time. But the new series has actually been pretty enjoyable. In fact, they even reference an old SD episode where they discover the mask of the Creeper (The villain of the episode "Jeepers it's the Creeper!"). Not only do they mention that it was the Bank Manager (Who was the villain of the episode), but even flashback to the capture moment (Everyone in bales of hay), only done in the new Art Style.
That sold me. I'll seek it out. Available legitly online anywhere? -

Then I'm sorry that it has come to this. I will be forced to hold you in one of my custom Tesla Cages while the PPD come to pick you up. What happens from there is none of my concern, but I hope it involves you seeing the error of your ways.

Quote:Actually, I agree with him on that. The forums are to increase an experience. I also don't feel they should be mandatory for absolutely vital information. Anything that must be conveyed to the players (such as things that might inconvenience their ability to log in) should be attainable in as few clicks as possible. I'm talkin' one: Clicking the CoH button.Well then, you've made it abundantly clear that you don't have the high ground on this issue.
My opinion. And that's more on the philosophy of an online gaming experience, which has no "correct" answer. -

Quote:And then Going Rogue launched a day early.I spent the weekend with my girlfriend. We went to the beach, ate at Hometown Buffet, watched Scott Pilgrim, and she made me pancakes. Then we went to a thrift store where I managed to get almost all the CDs she's been recommending to me for $2 each. Once we got back to my place, she agreed to try out City of Heroes.
Last week, she didn't know what "MMO" meant and told me she hopes it meant something like "I get to hang out with my boyfriend once in a while". She didn't know what open-ended was and was afraid of games with rotating cameras, claiming they were too disorienting.
She spent 3 hours making her costume. 45 minutes after that, she was explaining to me why Knockback is an annoying effect and that she is more interested in attacks that do superior damage (Like Gash) but don't knock enemies out of her way, as it throws off her fighting style.
This morning, she showed me her favorite coffee place before driving me to work early enough that I got to put all of these CDs onto my iTunes. I booted up my computer in order to find out that I was downloading Going Rogue early.
How do you think I'm doing? This is the best hour of my freaking life.

Quote:They're getting a huge amount of viral buzz going by doing this. Speaking purely in numbers, it's worth it. I'd say this even if it was my play session getting flogged.I don't know, I think releasing the update when they said they would release it would have been a start.
Still, I'm sorry that this happened to you. -
To be fair, there is a much larger download that was exclusively today. That is, unless I'm completely mistaken.
That being said, there will always be people that get a bad spin of the dice when there's something even resembling downtime, whether server maintenance or having to download an update. Sometimes it's been me. In this instance, it was you. While the developers couldn't have a solution that was good for everyone, I'm sorry that you had to be the one to roll 1's. I know how annoying that can be. -
After long thought, I pity the Resistance. They are well meaning but wrong. My original statements stand. I respect their view point, but the strength of Emperor Cole's empire must not be even slightly threatened, lest the house of cards falls and Hamidon rains down destruction.
It grieves me to excise the Resistance, but it must be done. With force. -
And now we begin our ascent to greatness.

I'm in favor of rewriting government policies to disallow dealings with private corporations that condone unethical behavior. While I understand that this may be a vague definition, it may be a moral imperative that is good for the advancement of dignity in American business policy.
I'm pretty sure that they'll allow this stance to be displayed in game. Does anyone have the toggle on hand, or do we have to wait for it to be unlocked tomorrow?
Edit: I also wish that Flyposes were easier to use. Like, we could set it so that when we click Fly, it automatically does the pose. Having to type it in each time is a bear. Would there be a site of how-to macro, as well as the macros themselves? -

This isn't the right thread for anything anymore. It's a perversion and mockery of itself. It's the fool's throne and a hatter's painting gallery.
Back in the olden days, Romans would eat their fill of a feast, slide a peacock's feather down their throat, and vomit their entire meal off to the side. Completely empty, they'd feast again.
This thread is of a similar chord.
Also, good afternoon to you, Golden Girl. -
Scott Pilgrim is like the bulimic personification of "Win" binged of the legendary "Awesome cake" and then purged into an epic porcelain chamber pot of cool crafted by Thor.
I cannot recommend it enough.
