Good luck wherever you may be bound Lighthouse.
**psst. don't worry, I'm working hard at deciphering the secret code in your message. soon the truth will be known** -
Actually there was. The problem however was that the redname (not going to search back through to find the post) requested that video or demo files be sent in showing the behavior since they couldn't replicate it internally.
The only videos that got sent in were they types that show running behavior that is supposed to be there. I believe there was a drug dealer one (two npcs doing a drug deal. One of them runs away when attacked) and a Tsoo one (Sorcerer immediately tps away when attacked, Ancestor spirit zips off when low on hits). Nobody has sent in any evidence of the supposed mass AI fleeing that they are seeing.
I myself have never seen this, not even once. The only mobs that ever run away from me are in the situations I described as normal behavior, and they always come back. This includes drug dealers, Tsoo sorcerers when attacked, Ancestor spirits and CoT ghosts when low on hp, and that's pretty much it. Plus they always come back. It takes a while because they run away but only walk back but they will always come back. Possibly it is something triggered by a particular power set or a particular IO or something I don't happen to have. However if you are still seeing this behavior then don't just complain about it here. Demo it and send in the demo so they have some sort of evidence to work with. And report exactly what powersets and IOs you were using as well.
Currently it's kind of like having an auto shop being told that your engine is knocking loudly all the time. But every time they take it out for a test drive things sound normal. Unless you also mention that you live in an area with very steep hills that you are driving up and down all the time and that is when the knocking happens then it's not likely they will be able to diagnose your problem. -
I was thinking of the BRB just the other night when I saw it in "Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium"
-
I'm a geek. I made a BRB shirt for PaX.

With the mission creator coming, I expect a lot more win to come into this thread soon

War Witch: We need your help (heroname). Sister Flame is in trouble. She has been captured by the clicky clacks and their commander Jar Brain Head. You have to free her from a prison cell and then team up with her to defeat the remaining clicky clacks before they can steal all the power from Paragon. -
Wino. It involves logging off in alleys.
Drug dealer, logging off on almost any Skyway street corner.
Wentworths employee. I want my % of every transaction.
Cop. Log off in any of the police barricade spots.
Soldier. Log off in any military barricade spot.
If you log off in the sewers constantly do you get the prestige power vomit? -
It's pretty obvious why those 5 made it to the finals. Each of them features a heroic or heroic seeming person turning to the dark side or at least seeming to. I'm including Babytoons in this because it includes a seemingly nice friendly teacher who turns into somebody who gleefully beats down another super being. In other words showing a completely different side.
If you actually watch the little commercials that you have to sit through before each contest video you will see the same theme. Someone seemingly good doing something just a bit naughty.
There are others which may be good videos but have absolutely no light side to them. The character is dark side all the way through. I think what eliminated Samuraiko's video from being a finalist was that it suffered from this. Although technically polished to a high gloss as usual for Samuraiko it lacked the concept that they were looking for. Somebody with a light side getting in touch with their dark side. -
Good videos all and I have my vote in.
Just one note however for future contestants. Please learn how to pronounce common words. I'm not talking about accents or regional peculiarities either.
For example. I could be watching an entry that was so awesome that I groveled before my monitor in order to worship the video awesomeness. If a character however at some point pronounced globe as globby (ie Atlas supported a huge globby) I would automatically click to the next entry. -
Any color printer will work. You can get iron on transfers that are printable. Some you print normally and others you have to reverse the image so just make sure you know which type you have before you print.
Oh, and they are available at pretty much any store that sells printer paper.
In addition you can also get magnetic sheets for printing "Sister Flame" magnets. -
First, bumping is forbidden in the forums.
Now as to the video itself. It's good to see you posting in the forums Uwe. -
So has the location of the meetngreet been finalized? Has the room been booked? Or are we just going to stand around at Starbucks saying "I thought you were going to do it."
-
Got my 3 day pass in the mail today.
-
Personally I think the Cheesecake factory has better food. However they can only seat parties of up to 25.
-
For the power slide and cape of the 4 winds just go to big lots. I just picked up the collectors dvd today and got those two items plus a Statesman heroclix plus 1 month time for $10.
Well worth it. -

Hey gang,
I have been reading along today and just want to report it is fully in the community hands on this event to organize a get together.
We had to make a few choices this year, and PAX while getting some of the same goodies as Comic Con will not be getting an official party or get together.
So... all that said, where do WE want to party?

So do "some of the same goodies" include a special in game item like Comic Con goers are getting? -
Yes Faultline was in the original release. Well, maybe I2. But the old map looked almost nothing like the current one. Back there it was nothing but deep narrow canyons with jagged outcroppings that you could get stuck on. There were perhaps 5 places in the whole map where you could get back up to the surface once you fell in if you didn't have a travel power. The narrow canyons were packed mostly full of CoT and the areas above were packed with Vahz groups who always had 1 or 2 Eidolons in them. There were also some groups of clockwork up above.
The only missions there were when contacts in other zones sent you to hunt something. And those contacts always sent you there when you were to low a level to manage it on your own. Sort of like the hunt CoT in Perez missions.
The old Faultline still exists somewhere but a code was added to it so that if you wound up there somehow you were instantly transferred to the current Faultline. Like how if you log out in the chalet and it is removed before you log back in you get transferred to Pocket D.
I wish they had just allowed people to be able to stay in there like they did with the Paragon Dance Club and the RCS. -
Wow, one of my ideas got used. Of course I'm sure the devs thought it up on their own, plus dozens of others have probably made the suggestion themselves.
Yet somehow I feel good that my idea of a dropdown menu for selecting costume sets made it through.
Don't anybody rain on my parade.
Or else.
What else I'm not certain but definitely else. -
Did you know, that there are still characters running around in the RCS? Well, character at least. Perhaps others.
Yeah, not strictly history but anybody want to have an RCS party? Maybe we can even get together enough for a TF.
I'm on Virtue incidentally but if needed we could copy to test and play there. -
If you were on Virtue I'd put you both on my friends list. It would give me a great line for if I had to kick an idiot from my group or leave a group led by an idiot.
"Sorry, I'd rather play with a 6 year old I know. She's more mature."
Great story and great attitude from both of you. -
Um Ex? You are speaking about yourself in the third person. Does Mandu have to remind you of proper grammar or is he perceiving the beginnings of multiple personality disorder.
-
Ok, the Goldbricker costume is officially the coolest ever. I love love love the jetpack that works with flight. The jetpack needs to be in I11 or the next vet reward.
-
I don't see why the costumes can't have charges, even just one charge, instead of being limited to two weeks. They would be something nice to whip out for parties and rp sessions or just to have fun with in missions. And unlike the New Year's powers they don't actually have any effect on gameplay.
It's probably too late at this point to change their nature (although you certainly managed to change the nature of the New Year's powers quickly enough) but how about bringing them out as craftable power recipes like the temp weapons. -

(This makes perfect sense, actually. Who shows up for Thanksgiving Dinner in a trick-or-treat outfit?)
[/ QUOTE ]
Thanks for the answer but if you want to make sense then who makes snowmen in the middle of the Summer? Or gives away Christmas presents? (The summon snowman and gift of the holidays powers)
I just think all the holiday powers should be given away as charges. That way those people who like to collect powers or save them for certain situations would have that opportunity.
I know I enjoyed it when I gave away the holiday present in the middle of summer to some new player and she got the hat. She never even knew where the present came from. -
There was quite an uproar during the winter event when the special temp powers (five gold rings and self rez) were suddenly changed to a real time duration from a game time duration. This was done without announcement after many people had logged in each and every one of their characters and run the missions specifically to get the two temp powers.
So it would probably be in the best interests of player good will if there is a clear announcement before hand.
Will the temp costume powers work by charges, in game time, or until the event is over?
I wasn't one of those players who bothered to get the powers on anything other than my mains but I remember the indignation and flame wars that followed the change.
