  1. Excited about the AE mission, I can't wait to deliver justice to those that need two big, angry, magic fists of it! RRrrr! Ny! We're coming for you!

New team uniform then, or will we retain the old ones? We'll still be the PCSF though, correct?

More info coming, I know, I'm just eager is all.
  2. Well, someone has to take the 100th post. No reason it shouldn't belong to the power of magic!

Lookin' forward to tonight. See ya'll there!
  3. Ugh! My wife just finished her grad stuff ... it was quite a fun two years. But she can teach college English and Literature classes now. My degree is Geology, but luckily I had the common sense to stop with a B.S. Good luck, though I'm sure you won't need it!

Synapse and Old Posi were my least favorite TFs. But now we've passed those kidney stones and can enjoy the rest of the ride.

Ya, Wylde holds a *little* animosity toward Amira, and shows his disrespect for her with great zeal; but never, never his good buddy Noxxie, no matter how tight his briefs are. Wylde's holding himself back (as much as he has the self control to) because he fears that Amira may mess with Nox even more if we don't "stay in line". She may not be able to hurt us, as it were, but she can mess with Nox to keep us in line. (Nox did a GREAT job of piloting her, I must say!) Wylde's loyalty is to his friends now (the ones that have saved his life many times already, and tolerated and even occacionally laughed st some of his jokes - no small feat!) not our parent organization.

I'll hold off and see what happens in the AE arc; all I really wanted to do was back a very, very public and in-the-open campaign add against her (and the EoC) - because good publicity seems important to them. No harm to any actual persons, living or dead and all. I'm sure Amira is doing what she thinks is best for her organization, and all, and it's apparent they've given us all a shot in the gut, and that's just business, but she crossed one line too many with Noxxie!
  4. Who is closest to being our Game master?

Kinda wanted to do some "out of combat" things that may reflect poorly on Wylde's future well being, but I want to do it within the story framework. For example, "I deploy some seeker drones fitted with anti-matter explosives and park them under the hood of Amira's car."

Now, Anthony would NEVER stoop that low (using technology) but it would be an out-of-game thing that would require a second or third party to "make it happen (or not)".

If any of us have secret projects they would like to do, or information they want to uncover, and so on, who manages that?

Finishing up Synapse was fun, but I was sooo falling asleep the last half hour or so. My apologies be being a schlub!

See ya'll next Thurs, anxious to see how things unfold with our story.
  5. Ohmygosh tease!

Good news! Absolutely can't wait. Love all these Architect Missions!

Hopefully the PCSF breaks away from the Edge of Chaos Organization, leaving us free to do as we will - maybe even becoming out nemesis organization! OOooh! I like that!
  6. Eagerly awaiting an official update of Thursday's meeting and summary of events of that night. Should be Quiiiiiite interesting.

(Getting my RP hat on in anticipation ...!)
  7. I can't speak for everyone, of course, but we seem like a group that could very easily be Vigilantes. Heroes without an excess of altruism, but with enough heart to "do the right thing". I'm up for making that journey!

Someone mentioned Preaetoria last week, and I was trying to think of a way we could maybe work it if the majority of us wanted to do that.

To get around the similar powersets and ATs, for example, we could make our alternate selves! The "Praetorian PCSF" ... "PCSF Agent" or "PCSF Ops" could replace the title "Operative" ((Nove Praetoria Strike Force, NPSF?) But in this dimension, we *could* have different power sets/ATs, similar Team Uniforms, etc.

Primal Earth: Operative Bob -- Elec/Elec Blaster
Preatorian Counterpart: NPSF Agent Bob -- Elec Control/Elec Assault Dom, or even MA/SR Scrapper.

Eh, I don't know. Just another example to add to the list of options.

I don't have ANY heroes that will go Vigilante (I'm a shmuck, my heroes are goody-two-shoes), so I'd kind of like to do the Vigilante thing with Wylde. Just thinking that others with a different desire might want some ideas.

Thursdays are awesome fun for me 'n' Direbane, whatever we do is going to be plain great!

See ya'll at the base for the meeting!
    Long live the PCSF
  8. Woot!

Thursday was a fun time, the PCSF arc was very insightful! Seems we have an emeny group as a "nemesis" now. Looking forward to the rest of it -- Great Job Ny!

My question about this Thursday, since, by last accounts, we'll be meeting in Paragon and running the Tip Missions/Morality Missions --Does our group feel comfortable with switching alignments to Vigilante? In other words, does any character concept mandate that the character remain a "true" hero? Villain-side would open a lot of content for us.

If everone is eager to run Praetoris on Thursdays, the problem would be that we've put work into our current beloved heroes and no one wants to abandon them.

ONE solution would be to copy the PCSF costumes over and RECREATE the team as Praetorians (same powersets, same costume). We could roleplay it as any one of our enemies "banished" us from Primal Earth to another dimension (which just so happenes to be Praetoria), and our powers have been diminished in the cross-over.

OR -- our powers have been modified or CHANGED in the crossover. It would allow us to play the same character and try out some different powers. The only problem would be the duplicated names, I suppose. But when we leave Praetoris, we could re-join the SG hero-side and have the same base still! (Maybe we could keep our original names and change "Operative" to "Praetorian" or something like that. Or maybe "Agent" Tee hee. But something along that line of thinking.

Anyway, what are alla yer thoughts on that? I think we're all pretty keyed about Praetoria, but Villain-side content would be pretty cool too.

    See ya'll Thurs!
  9. Happy Birthday!

I was goingto t est run your arc, but maybe I should wait for the group now, seeing as how its nearly how you like it.

Or, maybe I can get a secret sneak preview and not tell anyone .... hahahaah!
  10. Have you gotten your face put back together, Direbane? It's still pretty awful looking from that cave accident.

    Wait, what!!??

It looked like that BEFORE you left!!?? Wow, sorry for your luck man. Maybe you and Bulwark can start a support group or something.

    - Wylde
  11. I tried out the first mission of the arc number you gave me last night with my "main" MA/SR Scrapper. He's set to team of 8 and +2 enemies. When I entered the mission and saw the first group (no spoilers here), I thought, "Pfft! These guys are no prob!" Then I got pasted.

It was then that I noticed I was level 27, and most of my SR defenses were grayed out! D'oh! Let this be a lesson in the difference between what a level 50 can handle and what a level 27 can handle! I was going to try again but someone from my Champions SG was on and needed help.

But, I'll be back! (I'm good with testing it tonight if everyone else is).
  12. Yes indeed! I'm eager to give feedback as well. Woot the PCSFers!
  13. Thursday, 8PM Eastern, or 9PM EST? Juuuuust askin'.

I've decided to work on a two-part Architect mission to give Officer Anthony Wylde a bit more background, but I don't really want to do it if I'm the only one. Anyone else interested in making a mission (arc?) kinda highlighting their character and/or his/her/it's/Bulwarks background? I don't want to be the only one that does it, it would seem self-serving.

Of course I await with heightened anticipation the architect mission that furthers our SG's story line!

EDIT: Oh, and apparently Direbane made it back alive from Mammoth Caves, but whatever happened to him there really messed up his face. Just nasty to look at now. (shiver) he should be joining us with darkness in hand.
  14. I'd be happy with only ONE change:

    * Adjustable Range for "Tab To Next Enemy"
It's frustrating as ... well, something that's REALLY, REALLY frustrating!
How many times have I been tabbing through enemies, searching for someone in the group gathered around me to storm kick into next summer, when, suddenly, I'm targeting the Rikti Drone waaaaay over on Hamburger Hill? Whaa? It makes me a sad panda.

PS: Bow ties are still cool.
  15. Okee doke.

Also, a reminder (I don't know if Operative Direbane has imparted this info to the rest of the team or not):

Direbane will not be able to make the team this Thursday, due to a vacation he's taking to Cave Citry, Kentucky. It involves a lengthy trip to the Mammoth Caves, where, inevitably, he will be lost forever within the bowels of the Earth, and naked bat people will eat him alive after the night light on his portable cell phone camera dies out.

Later, the pics will be found and it will be discovered that, in fact, there were no bat people at all; he had gone insane, emerged from the caverns a week later and eaten the passive villagers of the nearby settlement.

    Poor Direbane.
  16. Oh sweet mommy --- you're BRILLIANT! That would be awesome! It would be great to advance our Team Story. I love this idea so much, I'm running out now to get some "protection".

Ya know, maybe each of us make an AE mission as well? (1 or 2 mission arc?) One that helps to flesh out our own character for the rest of the team? It would be a GREAT way to get to know our teammates better, and make the Role playing so much more funner-er! We could make them "solo friendly" as well, so team mates could run them on non-mission nights to get to know the others better. They wouldn't HAVE to be part of the "mission night" that way. They wouldn't have to be Origin Story arcs, though they could be I guess.

Well I've run out of exclamation points and question marks for today so I'm going to head out. What does everyone else think about the AE mission idea(s)?
  17. So, Thursday then? Midnighter arc sounds great to me. Maybe we should make up a list of tentative missions and the orders we'll do 'em, maybe perhaps? Just so we don't overlook any of the good stuff

An Arc I would love to see us do is the new Issue 17 Mirror-Mirror story, by the contact that has a name that I forget and is in Talos Island neat the hospital and he's a guy with NINJAS! and he ... ah, I can't think of anything else.

In addition to the Midnighter arc and the Signiture TFs:
    What about the Striga TFs?
    Respec Trials?
    Sewer Trial
    Crystal Titan Trial
    Shard TFs
    Ouroboros Mission Arcs

Just don't want to forget any of the fun stuff!
  18. Oh, Ny, (puff, puff) don't blame yourself for the bad things that happened on our last mission! We are a team; we fight as a team, we fall as a team, and we TRIUMPH as a team! In that spirit, you CAN'T blame yourself for something that was (puff, puff) CLEARLY Operative Direbane's fault. So please don't feel demoralized by it!

I'm consulting my -- I mean Praetoreus's, my mentor from the Foundation that is instructing me in the ways of magic -- mystic tomes and researching lore and whatever they call it. (puff) Ancient knowledge, that kind of stuff. There's a lot here and I think some of it might be very helpful. (puff) When we begin our next mission, I can perform some powerful mystic divining spells and see what can be done for you! I won't let let my magical companion suffer!

One of the things I'm looking into is this thing here. (puff, puff) It's silver and wandy-looking. Big black ball on the end, and it hums when you hold it. I found it under a pile of other magic contraptions, it looks pretty cool and feels very powerful. (puff) I'm sure it can help in some way! If that doesn't work, there's this weird cube thing that seems to fold in on itself and twist in all kinds of unusual ways, it looks pretty powerful. Praetoreus won't know any of this stuff is missing anyhow. (puff, puff)

And whatever happened with your physical appearance, you must know that we, as a team, as a family of PCSFers, will always accept ya, and do so without question. (puff)

After all, We've learned to tolerate Bulwark's ugly pug quickly enough. (shiver) (puff, puff) There's no way you can look half as bad as that.

    For the yams!
    - Tony Wylde
  19. I guess we know now where the demon that possess him likes to hang out.
  20. Put my vote in the hat, Ny! If we have more than 8 show a night, maybe we could break into two smaller groups and use SG chat? (Just trying to think ahead)

See everyone Tureday! (What was the exact start time agian? I'll try to be on at 8PM ether way)
  21. Noooo! This is terrible news! Ny, if there's anything my ample and powerful magics can do to help ya, my fellow magicking-person, let me know! I have access to vast resources of arcane lore and all kinds of weird items I have no idea what they do, (They're from the Foundation that's training me), LET ME KNOW!

    - Wylde
  22. Ooh! Who's that dashing fellow on the far right?

    Okay, so it's (L to R) correct?

    Operative(s)
    Direbane (Post-demon possessed)
    Fennris (con-metal blades)
    Nox (Sans-metal spikes)
    Bulwark (Pre-Thorny armor)
    Operative Positron (Post-energy being)
    Ny (Pre-lung condition)
    Wylde (Pre roach-monkey)

Posi 1 was lots of fun, especially the last mission where we learned many, many valuable lessons about life and the pursuit of happiness. Good times!
  23. Ooh! I'm off to re-read your bio!

Woot on 8! I think a Blaster or Kheldian would work well too, Especially a Kheld ('cause then we'd have a Blaster and a tank! -- or Controller if he makes a Warshade!)
  24. Yow! I'm hep to that, cat. (Sorry about getting all "street")

I'll be on as closest to 8PM (E.S.T.) as I can. I'll loiter at Wentworth's until I am called to duty! Positron can wait a bit, how long has he been standing there anyway? Seems like he's not losing any sleep about it.

I sneaked a peak at my mentor's spell book this week, and caught a glimpse of a really neat spell called "Summon Flytrap" I'm going to try to use it in the Positron TF. It's a pretty powerful spell, but ya, don't worry about it too much. I have it all under control.
