As an additional note to avoid misunderstandings. Essence of the Earth (known as EoE) farming should be done in Perigrine Island, not the Hive. A good location for Devouring Earth Giant Monsters is the Tempest Quay neighborhood.

Hamidon's going down!
Saturday, January 30th, 2 PM Pacific (3 PM Mountain, 4 PM Central, 5 PM Eastern).
kidengineer will be leading the raid/coordinating the teams.
A few points to remember:
* The Hive is restricted to level 45+ heroes.
* The raid team leaders will use the Request channel to coordinate the teams. Please monitor the channel for instructions, but do not use it unless you are one of the raid team leaders
* It will hold 50 heroes, if the Hive fills up, do not leave the zone, there is no guarantee you'll get back into that instance.
* The Hamidon will spawn (bloom) 3 sets of Mitos at (75%, 50%, and 25%), in addition to the mitos that initially spawn with him.
* After Hamidon is defeated you will have the option of selecting 53 Reward Merits or a random Hamidon Origin Enhancement if you are level 47+.

I'm going to attempt to do some Essence of the Earth (known as EoE) farming starting about 1 PM PST (4 PM EST) on the central northern landmass in the Monster Island zone, accessible from the far north end of Grandville.
Remember that in order to receive an EoE inspiration drop, you have to have two inspirations slots open in your tray: Any time you get an inspiration drop from defeating a Devouring Earth Giant Monster, there is a chance that you will also get an EoE as a second reward. If you don't have space for a second inspiration, you won't get an EoE.
I will, most likely, bring my Brute (T Major) to help manage the Monster Aggro and switch to my Stalker (Bounty-Killer) for the actual Raid. -
