I'll have a bio nuke on my scrapper.
If my brother is available, I'll see if I can convince him to bring a toon with a bio nuke as well.
If we can start getting 40 (or more) heroes in the Hive, I am of the opinion that we may be able to pull off an evac-less 3rd bloom: go straight from attacking Hamidon down to 25% directly to clearing mitos then back to Hamidon. If we can do this smoothly we can start doing this from the beginning, which could shorten a Hamidon raid to around 30 minutes from initial spawn to reward (right now it's taking nearly two hours, 1 of which is usually just getting people into the Hive). The key will be timely participation.
I know Sooner would like to see this happen. Kid and I are discussing plans to make this happen, and I'll like to see us do it. 50 people getting a HO in less than an hour would be awesome. -
Hero Hamidon Raid.
Saturday, April 17th, 2 PM Pacific (3 PM Mountain, 4 PM Central, 5 PM Eastern).
kidengineer will be leading the raid/coordinating the teams.
A few points to remember:
* The Hive is restricted to level 45+ heroes.
* The raid team leaders will use the Request channel to coordinate the teams. Please monitor the channel for instructions, but do not use it unless you are one of the raid team leaders
* It will hold 50 heroes, if the Hive fills up, do not leave the zone, there is no guarantee you'll get back into that instance.
* The Hamidon will spawn (bloom) 3 sets of Mitos at (75%, 50%, and 25%), in addition to the mitos that initially spawn with him.
* After Hamidon is defeated you will have the option of selecting 53 Reward Merits or a random Hamidon Origin Enhancement if you are level 47+.
Hope to see you there! -

Quote:Actually, we had an abundance of Controllers at first and we were light on Scrappers/Tanks. Some of the controllers (three, I believe) switched over to scrappers. All in all, for the amount of people we had it went off nicely. Could probably use a few more controllers next time (may grab my Grav/Kin).
But once again, the problem was that we didn't have enough players arrive at the scheduled start time. Further, we were low on player participation as well. All things said, we had a high of maybe 35-39 in the Hive, and that didn't occur until very late in the third bloom.
Although I've heard complaints that the zone cap of 50 people is a problem, lately that hasn't been the issue, the problem has been interest.
Looking at the participation we had yesterday (and also for previous villain side raids), it is still more time effective and less problematic to organize an STF or an RSF to acquire an SHO than it is to do a Hamidon raid on either side.
I know Kid, Sooner, and I have discussed doing an evac-less raid, or at least attempting to do an evac-less last bloom. However, the more I think about it, the more I believe that it may not be worth the effort right now: the quantity of interest just isn't there. Sure there are some that are ready and willing to put in the time to get it done. The problem is that the number of people in that group is barely enough to do a Hamidon raid smoothly. And further, those players would have little trouble putting together and doing STFs and RSFs. So why should they extend themselves to do Hamidon raid for the same benefit and more difficulty?
If there is anyone that disagrees (which I hope there are), I want you to take it as a personal challenge to attend future raids on time and in force (bring your friends). Without consistent and regular participants, the desire to organize and lead hero side Hamidon raids will taper off similar to how villain side raids have not been scheduled recently. And that would be a shame. -
Well, we didn't get a full Hive, but we did walk away with a victory.
Congratulations to all attendees! -

Quote:Wait... what?... a sharp, repeating pain forced out a breathy moan from her parched lips.
"OI! She a live one! Daaaviez! Hey Daviez! Brin' us dat dere bed. Com'on man. Sun'll be up soon an' she prolly won' survive it."
"Cooper stop poking her then and help me, you old coot." Davis draged a length of sailcloth behind him. "The Boss'll want to get a look at her once she comes to. Marcus went to tell 'im." He dropped the cloth and straightened it out to form a litter for the two of them to carry her. "She's a looker, ain't she Coop."
"I tink she's too red." Cooper walked slowly towards her feet while Davis went to her head. "Tink she'll live?" -
Quote:That's just not fair to the villains who might want to do it.Quote:It's not so much a matter of "fair" as a matter of not enough people have shown an interest in a redside Hami raid lately to bother going through the motions of organizing it, just to have not enough folks to go forward on "game day", as it were. No conspiracy, no hate, just not enough people.
Lately, it has been difficult to get 35 villains in the Abyss. The last time we attempted it, it took nearly 45 minutes to get enough to start, and then Hamidon spawned after a couple of DE GMs were defeated. That left us in a difficult position with a small number of players and EoEs.
Then, the perfect storm of catastrophes took place: several of the group leaders (at least one of which was dual boxing) disconnected due to loss of power. We had a small number of Dominators and Fortunatas, which made downing the Green mitos time consuming, thus making defeating Yellow mitos very difficult.
Needless to say, it isn't that I don't want to do the villain version (and I think Kid would agree), it is that there realistically isn't as much interest. If there was more interest, we would do it. -

I wonder how many heroes/people (like police officers, soldiers, etc) went through the moral dilemma that Cerise is experiencing and got a "pep talk" like the one Six-Four gave her.

Since there's been more interest in doing hero side raids than doing villain side raids, we decided to skip villain side raids for a while.
There's always the RSF -

Quote:This is truth. Plain and simple. We don't call him the "RSF Nazi" for nothing.I'd help out tonight, but plans have been made...
I would suggest you take up kid's offer though, as he led both the MoITF and MoKTF for which I got the badges.
On the first try.
On the same night.
Kid knows his tactics.
