Welcome to the Twilight Zone.

Short answer: Keep playing. You'll get what you need... eventually.

Sorry you didn't win, but the consolation prize sounds pretty nice.

It's supposed to be random.

Quote:But the observational data acquired does not match that statement as you and many, many others have noted. Certain characters seem to be more apt to getting Rare and Very Rare components, while others get a large number of Uncommon components.- The participation system's primary function is to qualify players for the component reward tables.
- Once a player qualifies for a component reward, the final block of choices presented to the player are rolled randomly. If you qualified for a component reward, you reached the level of participation for yourself and your league needed to have a chance at any component type.
- We will continue to monitor the data from the trials, and if we find instances where this is not the case, we will correct them to ensure that this is the case.
- It has never been possible to guarantee that you will receive a Very Rare. Once the participation system has done a handoff to the random table, it no longer has any effect on your reward. While reports of multiple Very Rares are not unexpected, these occurrences are evidence of consistent league success combined with a large amount of good luck.

Hellooooooo Nurse!
Welcome back! -
Quote:A group of us checked that last week. We left one group alone in the SE section of the courtyard and that spawn was there after the cut scene (along with the turrets). The mobs in the street don't despawn, but the mobs in the courtyard do.
I'll concede that it's possible that some of the groups despawn (particularly the groups that would be closest to Marauder during and after the cutscene), but I know for a fact that not all of them despawn. -
Quote:They don't despawn. If you are going to leave the guns on the wall, why not leave the mobs in the courtyard? They despawn anyway.
This is true, they can be fun. But just like cut scenes, they tend to get in the way after you've done/seen them for the hundredth time. -
This should be required reading.

At some point, I need to reword this thing with the League system in place.

Rogue Isles Hamidon Raid in the Abyss.
Saturday, April 16th, 3 PM Pacific (4 PM Mountain, 5 PM Central, 6 PM Eastern).
kidengineer will be leading the raid/coordinating the teams, if we have enough people in the Abyss.
A few points to remember:
* The Abyss is restricted to level 45+ Vigilantes, Villains, and Rogues.
* Warburg Biological Mutagen warheads/nukes greatly help. If you can, please acquire one for the raid.
* A small supply of Essence of the Earth (known as EoE) inspirations is useful (but not absolutely necessary).
* The raid team leaders will use the Request channel to coordinate the teams. Please monitor the channel for instructions, but do not use it unless you are one of the raid team leaders
* It will hold 50 Vigilantes, Villains, and Rogues. If the Abyss fills up, do not leave the zone, there is no guarantee you'll get back into that instance.
* There is a medical bay in the Abyss if you should fall in combat and a rez/awaken is not immediately available.
* The Hamidon will spawn (bloom) 3 sets of Mitos at (75%, 50%, and 25%), in addition to the mitos that initially spawn with him.
* After Hamidon is defeated you will have the option of selecting 53 Reward Merits or a random Hamidon Origin Enhancement if you are level 47+, or 4 Incarnate Shards if you have the Alpha Slot unlocked. -

Quote:NooooooOOOOOOOoooooooOOOOOoooooooo!Where's the Spike Team? - Clear all Electrolytes and Mending Mitochondria before the last Mitochondria Antibody is destroyed on any one bloom.
Hold It - Clear all Mending Mitochondria on the initial bloom within 5 minutes of Hamidon's spawning.
Hammer Time - Defeat Hamidon within 30 minutes of its spawning.
Lost His/Her Bloomin' Mind - Clear Hamidon without defeating a single Mitochondria.
Master of Hamidon - Priceless -

We had a full Hive... and here I was, concerned that no one would show with the new content for an old school Hami-whipping.
We put the League system to the test and it worked quite nicely.
Congratulations Protector on another successful Hami Raid! -

If we don't have enough people show... -
We were started with a little less than we normally do (28 vs waiting for 35), and Hamidon spawned really early (about 6 monsters defeated), and we were a little bit heavy on melee and light on holds and ranged damage, but...
Protector was still able to defeat Hamidon in a little over an hour from the advertised start time.
Congratulations Protector on another successful Hamidon raid!
