    The Wow! Factor

    My Fire/Fire/Fire perma dom. A Blaster with crowd control. Slotted for dmg, dmg, dmg, and recharge, it took a T3 cardiac to make his endurance managable even with a free blue bar every 90 seconds, but everything gets melted in seconds.

    Edit: If you can stay alive anyways!
  2. I rarely delete a character (they get moved to an empty server or I buy more slots), but out of the 2 you mentioned, I'd delete the lvl 50 because thats as good as its going to get. You have seen it all so to speak.

    Also, Cold domination is a very late blooming set and at lvl 24 you haven't even gotten any of the good stuff yet. It also syncs well with the -tohit and vampiric heal of Dark blast.

    This is so true.

    My Fire/cold corr with soft cap s/l and 40+% ranged defense feels like a /SR scrapper with all ranged attacks and huge buff/debuff powers. Nothing ever seems to hit him.
  4. It says Time manipulation is a primary for Defenders and a secondary for Controllers, DOMINATORS, and Masterminds.

    I think they mean Corrupters and not Dominators. Right?

    The hardest part will be to survive. I have a fire/fire/fire dom and it does great in traditional farm maps. It does even better if you have someone to take agro for you.

    I was on the old Liberate television farm, the Nemesis one, with a couple globals for old time sake this weekend. With a brute to take the alpha strike, my dom was tearing everything up.

    But you can farm with almost anything, some toons are just better at it.
  6. A /Fire with a pure farming build with only +rech and tons of AOE's is obviously going to have pathetic mitigation outside of fire farms.

    But build for def, hitpoints, and rech for healing flames and you can do pretty well (mine heals ~830 hitpoints every ~11 seconds thats not bad). Also, Incarnate powers that make squishy blasters and dom's tough work double well on your Fire brute.

    My SS/Fire that was fairly tough before incarnate has become a nearly unstoppable firey instrument of destruction.

    He's not a top of the line farmer though. Its a trade off and I only farm for tickets and to trade PL's with buddies anyways.
  7. Last few Lambda's I was on, I was able to use my Jet Pack. I believe it was the temp power one you get from the NPC in Grandville for 10,000 inf.

    I thought that this problem was fixed in a recent patch.

    I think 3 lvl 50 I/O rech in hasten with t4 spiritual alpha gives you perma hasten without any global bonuses.

    IDK I might be way off because of no mids at work.
  9. An Executioners strike Shatter out of hide with a Bane is pretty awesome. I have noticed the lesser amount of AOE dmg though.

    I've had massive amounts of fun with my Bane on speed ITF's on the second and third missions. Run in and 2 or 3 shot a nictus crystal or EB general and SS off to the next one.

  11. Any Frontloaded Fire map will work. Just keep an eye on your tickets and when you get about 700 grab a glowie and get out.

    We are splitting hairs here anyways. Anything /fire played properly is going to be pretty close to the same.

    Gotta love that FF proc in footstomp though.

    I just don't get how that extra 80% buff for 50 seconds overcomes doing little to no damage 1/6th of the time.
    But you are done before you ever get to that first rage crash. So what I do during rage crash is reset the mission and buy insp. But if you don't finish, I use Judgement, Consume and then pop some insp.

    Also you can't put the Force Feedback proc in Spin.

    With softcap to S/L/E and 40+% ranged, my fire/cold basically never gets touched. The Rebirth more than makes up that little bit. He plays so well without it that I usually use it as a team heal/buff more than for myself.
  14. Its not Footstomp that makes SS/fire so good. It is double stacked rage.

    Still in an ideal ambush farm with inspiration combining binds where both claws and SS are sitting at dmg cap, claws would win if Billz's dmg and rech numbers are correct.

    looking to solo

    Fire/Dark Corr. Tar Patch, Fireball, and Rain of Fire is great for melting mobs and you get it all very early. Also, you get darkest night and twilight grasp to keep you alive.
  16. On any WP you want to slot for defense and hitpoints. If you are going on the cheap side, I'd suggest touch of deaths and maco's to build your ranged and meele defense and hitpoints. Ranged over Meele because mobs in meele are fueling your RttC, but some of both. Its pretty easy to get over 20% to meele and ranged defense and will make a big difference.

    Also, definately slot high pain tolerance with heals for hit points.
  17. You use a 2nd account or a get a buddy to make a "throw away" character. One made solely to level pact and get PL'd to 20 and deleted. Its useful as a way to get blue side AT's over to red side (or vice versa) without doing 2 days of tips.
  18. Sonic/Rad is a great AV/GM killer. The defender version has slightly better -resist on its attacks but the corr makes up for it with scourge, which really shines on AV/GM fights.

  22. I still say the other interface powers need a buff. Reactive is still to much of an obvious choice.
  23. Was it way crazy overpowered? Yes. Was it "breaking the game." I don't think so. How does me spamming RoF and Sleet walking through TF's with my buds for a couple weeks break the game? If we are talking game breaking bugs, you'd have more merit talking about the AE monkey and mito get your lvl 1 to 50 in an hour farms than this.

    If you rolled a character just for it though, that sucks. It was obviously going to get nerfed sooner than later. As long as the fix for the broken fix comes quickly, I have no complaints.
  24. I ran into this problem over the weekend and ended up just buying them on the market. I didn't even think to try buying them with regular merits.
  25. As long as they fix Interface to work correctly ASAP, it is fine by me. I'll miss my perma alternating crashless nukes on my fire/cold corr, but everybody knew it was too good to be true.
