LOL. You were trying to keep the cost down and you put 4 sets of Kinetic Combats in it?

If this is a straight farming build, all you want to slot for is recharge, and ED lvl damage in your AOE attacks. If your doing it right, insirations drop so quickly you can easily fill any other gaps in your build. Mu lets you (with enough recharge) use footstomp, elec fences, ball lightning, and burn as a seamless AOE attack chain.

If you plan on running other content, the S/L defense really helps out /fire. Your best bet is to make 2 builds, one for regular content and the other 100% farming.
  2. The Dmg aura favors the brute because it has a taunt component and the guy your trying to kill doesn't randomly run away.
  3. Sorry about the tread jack....

But seriously they had to change Ice armor for stalkers to have hide, shouldn't it be a direct port to brutes from tanks? The same goes for Ice melee.

HAHA. Theft of essence chance for +end in dark reg, a numina's +/+ and the miracle + in health. All are easily gotten with merits. The rest is just using inspirations. Dark is an amazing set, but it is not turn on your toggles and go WP.

    Your doing it wrong.

Yeah that one, that turns into and unstoppable killing machine with a little IO love and a basic idea of how to play the game.

How to deal with it? I just repeatedly mash my E key, which is my "jump to dwarf" bind. This tactic has an extra benefit of automatically activating Dwarf Mire as soon as I do shift. The one bind is set up to use both powers.
Hmmmm... Repeatedly mashing my binds seems to have the exact opposite effect for me. Maybe I need to rework my binds. The way it is now it seems if I hit my bind more than once (even outside combat) it tends to usually do nothing.

I'll have a look at my binds when I get home tonight. I don't even remember what they are anymore. I made them around i12 I think.
  7. Animation times on the shapeshifts really do need to be reduced and made non-interuptable. Very often, I'll try to shift to dwarf (ususally because of mez) and die waiting for it to happen because it was interupted.

On a side note, anyone have any tips for dealing with this? It is my biggest aggravation when playing my WS.

    Elec Blast

I'm pretty sure you can only have one VS at a time.

You can get /SD with 95% defense debuff resistance using HO's. Lots of good examples of it on the scrapper forums.

No one is doubting Invuln. We are just repeatedly proving to Giant2005 that Shield isn't terrible like keeps saying and he can't seem to understand.
  11. I don't have MID's on this computer (at work,) but going by memory on set bonuses and giving you the benefit of the doubt, color me impressed.

It doesn't look like you'd be running the top attack chain and I'm not a fan of just 4 kin combats in the attacks (doesn't ED cap enough), but it should be extremely tough.

I still don't get why your down on /SD, it's a great set.

I was under the impression that it was impossible to solo my way to a 'fully slotted' Incarnate. If it's just 'very slow', then fair enough.

    Eco.
It is not impossible, but it likely take weeks or months on each character. We don't know shard drop rates, except that they drop much more frequently in task forces.

A few months back,I tried to farm for shards in regular content. I ran multiple clear all lib tv farms and it ended with me averaging less than one shard per run.

On all of them? I'd love to see this /DA build that is capped to S/L/E/N. I'd say impossible or impossibly gimped.

Also everyone is forgetting that AAO has a nice -dam to all foes in its aura (its not much but its there). -Dmg acts just like resistance.

High end Invuln builds are tougher, but Shield can be very, very tough and gives you a lot more dmg than Invuln.

This was after the Globals came back up. When the globals were down, AE just wasn't working at all.

  16. Last night I was helping get a friend some lvls in AE. After every mission comple when I tried to select the mission again to run it again it said that I was still on a task force and would not let me select the new mission. The only way I could get the new mission was to kick everyone and then reform the team.

I talked to the contact again after mission complete to finish off the mission and it even changed the contact back to the holographic guy thats there when you don't have a mission, but it kept telling me that I was still on a mission when I wasn't.

    Did anyone else get this?

    Wowshade....

I'm need to play with a human only build when I get home to MIDs. Is it possible to make a perma eclipse human only build with lots of def? I'm dreaming about 85% resist to all, ~32.5% def (S/L, Melee, Ranged or some combination of those), and sub 10 second stygian circle.

It is probably just a dream though.
  18. Get your Fire resist up to 90%, slot your aoe's for dmg, and everything else use cheap sets to get +recharge bonuses. The goal is to get your recharge high enough to have a pure AOE attack chain. My SS/fire only uses Footstomp, electric fences, ball lightning, and burn in his chain. All the other holes in your build like Defense and Endurance are easily filled by inspirations that drop like rain.
  19. Anyone know the top single target DPS chains for a Fire/Elec blaster.

I'm guessing some combination of Shocking Grasp, Blaze, Havok punch, Fire blast. Something like that seems to be about what I usually run on AV's.

I like to know whats best to give myself something to aspire towards and I'm confused as how to determine what it is.

    Fire\?

/Shield compliments it pretty well. Fire has no mitigation built in to it so you want a tough secondary and the +dmg from AAO does awesome things with all the fire dmg goodness.

Its easier to reach ~70% fury now. The nerf is that it is nearly impossible to get over 75-80%. So brutes that ran at nearly 100% fury all the time can only get about 80% = NERF.

LOL! I'll get right on that!
  24. Yeah, looks like an improvement to me. Especially since you don't have to mule boxing for a kinetic combat set anymore.

Kinda makes me want to try to put some more recharge in mine, but he's got T3 spiritual alpha already and with that every thing that I want to be is basically perma.
  25. It looks pretty good to me.

    1. Moving that slot for the kismet accuracy would help, your accuracy isn't the greatest but not bad.

    2. I would definitely do this. I don't have the nuke. Between Sleet, RoF, Fireball, and now even Judgement, I don't miss it.

Also, I HATE Fire Breath. I have it on my Fire/rad and it is basically a set mule. The animation feels really long and it never seems to hit more than 1 or 2 targets for me. I'd drop that and move those slots else where, but some people like it and swear by it.

He's my build. Maybe you can grab an idea or two from it.
