Oh, I agree, Bay's stuff isn't exactly the pinnacle of literature
[/ QUOTE ]
Bay is a director, He's not a screenwriter. None of his work can be remotely called literature at all. It's film. An entirely different medium. -

I was in the process of moving to Cali to start working at Cryptic on CoH/CoV when my car's engine exploded in Wyoming. I spent about 4 or 5 days in a hotel room playing Issue 7, which had just been released.
That is the only way I know how long I've been working on this game...because of playing Issue 7 in a hotel room in Wyoming.
[/ QUOTE ]
Wait, you're saying that City of Heroes permitted you to survive 4 or 5 days of Wyoming's lethal Boredom? -

Looking at the data that I could find more closely, it looks like all the Mitos have 100 resistence to repel. Which says to me that if we can get 11 Force Fielders together, they can overwhelm the repel resistence of the Mitos....
Any thoughts on this, or am I reading this data wrong, as I am prone to doing?
[/ QUOTE ]
They have mag 100 knock-back protection. The important thing to notice, however, is that they also have knock-back resistance (Though I can't tell how much). -
They have the same Hit point cap, brutes just have a lower starting point, so getting to 3212 hit points is more than a 170% increase.

I bet it's modified to have one round more than the standard version, too. Being defeated by basic math is so embarrassing.

One less round, so he's reloading while they're all waiting for that last shot. -
Get the Architect accolade once issue 15 rolls around with the badge changes.
-
You're strictly Hero side then? Or will all your villains go Cerulean once that's an option?

I'd make Granite the only penalized power, no movement debuff in Rooted (sure it makes conceptual sense, but so did Unyielding.)

Or, at the very least, allow people the ability to jump, just enough to get over curbs. -
You're as female as the day is long? Which is to say, your femininity peaks on the summer solstice?
-
Well, you both fall into the set of female posters, whether that implies that you have more positive qualities than the set of male posters is a matter of misogyny.
-
Only 718 posts, however, to 2000 yards.
-
Oh well, it's not like I was going to stop posting at 5280 anyway. What's a good next milestone?
-
Arcanaville and Johnny Butane are both in the same set of posters: the set of poster whose posts seem to be written in English, at least at first glance.

Girl + Math = Winny Cooper from The Wonder Years.
I'm not kidding.

I can promise you that there is more than one woman in the field of mathematics. -
Well, it is almost summer, but I imagine that she has air conditioning.

Another question: Who gives the high-level villain arc where you have to kidnap the rogue Fortunata who then "volunteers" to be turned into a Tarantula Mistress?
[/ QUOTE ]
Who else, but Westin Phipps.
[/ QUOTE ]Its sad when he is the only contact that actually gives "Evil" missions. My hope is that going forward the devs have a more darkerside for villain content.
[/ QUOTE ]
Must...resist...urge...to argue...
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, with the upcoming Gone Rogue, shouldn't there be some, darker options available? I mean, I'm not saying that to be evil you have to like running the Westin Phipps arcs, I'm just saying there will have to be some way to distinguish your actions as "good" or "bad" or "morally ambiguous". -

Superhuman Registry? I don't think so

I'm more than happy to purchase one of the new game cards and effectively pay a one time $5 charge for a new costume item/travel power that I can use in perpetuity. I am less inclined to do so if use of the new item/power means I'm paying an extra $5 per month for the privilege.
[/ QUOTE ]
I believe this is entirely the point. Not having to get a travel power frees up two power selections. That's a huge benefit. That's why it's 30 days real time instead of 30 days ingame time.
Veteran powers are nice, but not something that would free up power selection like that.
I mean, no one is going to get the Nemesis staff and decide "You know, I don't need to get any attacks now." (I'll agree, that they may skip one attack in favor of another, but at some point, most people fill up their attack chains enough so they stop using the veteran powers.) The "Gather the team" certainly won't work in place of Teleport (and it's not a good replacement for those who want team teleport either).
I don't think there should be the option of buying a permanent Jet Pack.
Yes, I want to see Jet Packs added as costume options. It'd be really cool too, if they animated when we used powers like Flight and Super Jump. Or a Backpack with a huge thruster that pointed directly backwards that animated with Super Speed.
I'd even be okay with those made into a pack like the Wedding pack (though I'd be much happier if they were just tacked on to one of the issues). -

This is how Vet Rewards should work....
You get a choice between Sands of Mu or the Ax as normal, but then you get to choose from Nem staff, the wand OR which everpower you didn't pick the first time. That would mean at 54 months, you'd get to choose from two NEW powers or the remaining two you didn't pick before. What ever power you passed up should always be available the next time you unlock a vet power, but there should ALWAYS be two more new ones.
Did I explain that as horribly as I think?
[/ QUOTE ]
Whta I've suggested in the past is that the devs make a "veteran melee power pool" and a "veteran ranged power pool" and add powers to each as necessary. Make the veteran rewards grant one choice from the appropriate pool. So if they decide to add some new snazzy veteran attack, newer players will still have a shot at them before they grow old and die. The advantage older players will have is that they will have more *selections* but not necessarily a better set of selections which means there is less of a problem adding overly interesting veteran attacks.
[/ QUOTE ]
I'd be entirely in favor of that.
