  1. Asuria doesn't guard the vault, she's just the person we get sent to talk to. The vault is in Galaxy City... for now.

I tend to auto-complete missions that ask me to do things I don't want to do. My stalker did that. He never betrayed Ghost Widow.

My dominator Deep Tought (now deleted) once auto-completed a newspaper mission where the final boss says "You have fallen into my trap! If you leave now, I shall let you live... please?" Deep Tought's reaction was "What a nice guy he is to let me leave."
  3. Syntax, you've kind of messed up your math there.

    Attack damage:

    (1 + enhancement+damage buffs)*modifier*theoretical attack

    (1+1.5+.9+(-.3))= 3.1*.75*100 = 232.5 damage

    (1+.9)*.8*100 = 152 damage
    With bruising:
    152*1.2= 182.4 damage

To put the example in more concrete terms:
With comparable slotting and set bonuses, a willpower tank will do 320 damage with Seismic Smash (384 with bruising) while a Brute with Granite active and a 150% bonus from Fury will do 470 damage.

Meanwhile, I don't think it's even possible to get Perma-hasten on a Granite Brute and still soft cap defenses. Though, with a really expensive build and Spiritual Core Paragon, you can get hasten down to 128 seconds of recharge while maintaining 45.5% Smashing/Lethal defense, so you can come close.

It's mez protection; it shouldn't take more than two recharge SOs to have it permanent.

If you don't want it to double stack, then tag the bonus as "Does not stack from the same caster."
  5. Yeah, my shield tank hits the soft cap with the set powers, Weave, Steadfast Protection, 1 full set of Gaussian's Synchronized Fire Control, 1 full set of Thunder Strike, 1 full set of Obliteration, and 3 sets of 3 Aegis: Res, Res/End, and Res/Rech.

23.8% from Deflection and Battle Agility.
    5% From Phalanx Fighting.
    7.92% from Weave.
    3.96% from Combat Jumping.
    3.61% from Maneuvers.
    3% from Steadfast Protection.
47.29% total. That's with 3 level 50 defense IOs in each power.

If we go level 50 Luck of the Gambler: Def, Def/End, Def/+Global Recharge we get:
23.1% from Deflection and Battle Agility
    5% from Phalanx Fighting.
    7.71% from Weave.
    3.85% from Combat Jumping.
    3.51% from Maneuvers.
    3% from Steadfast Protection.
    46.17% total.

So, I'm wondering how you did your math.

Well, human life? Possibly most of human life has existed in times when education, scientific inquiry, and intelligence are seen as elitist and bad for the *insert name of the type of group people live in*.

This is not a new development.

Right, because throughout history, only intelligent people have been breeding and that's how our culture has developed. Intelligent people like Newton, Turing, Da Vinci, have always had children.

It's not the symbiote costume. Peter separated himself from the Symbiote in issue #258, he fought Firelord in issue #270.

Ultimate Captain America is a Jerk. He has few redeeming qualities. 616 Captain America, when written well, is the acme of heroism, and a pretty awesome guy to hang out with.

True for Movie Stark, I wouldn't say that about 616 Stark. And Characterization on Ultimate Stark isn't something I can comment on anymore. Since Loeb's run in the universe, I've pretty much decided it doesn't exist anymore.

Ah, the internet, where people can share their opinions on things they have no information about.
  13. Yes, both Shield Defense/Super Strength, and Super Strength/Shield Defense will hit the soft cap, but Shield Defense/Super Strength will have more Defense Debuff Resistance, more hit points, will see more bonus from Aid Self, and have higher resists.

Also, Tanker Grant Cover provides almost 3% more defense at base.

There's more to survivability than the soft cap.
  14. Ah. Okay.

In the drop down menu accessible from the experience bar, you have a number of options. One of those options is costumes. If you select it, you'll get a window, similar to the one you get when you go to the tailor and they ask you to select which costume to alter. However, you do not need to be near a tailor to open it.
  15. Do you have to change to a different costume to get the emote to play?

Brutes cap at 3212 hit points and have a lower base to start with, so enhancing to hit 3212 is not as easy for brutes as it was for tankers.

Tankers cap at 35** hit points. We can't hit that with just dull pain anymore, but with the accolades, sure.

No amount of buffing can close that 300 hit point gap.
  17. You don't have to go to the tailor to assign a costume change emote, it's in the window that you set your costume in.

Well, when you open up your costume screens, below all your costumes there should be a drop down menu that offers different costume change emotes. Select an emote and then select a costume. When you change costumes, the emote should play.

There's also a way to do this with key binds and macros, but I don't know that off the top of my head.

Well, that is one of the things that has changed significantly. These days flight hits the cap without any enhancement, so you can take your base slot and use it for knock-back protection without slowing down.

I've been curious to try a character with Swift 2 slotted for flight, Quickness (or Lightning Reflexes) two slotted for flight, and Nerve with the flight speed bonus, to see how fast I can go with Hover.
  20. Can she be a porter for Cole?

Is Golden Girl opposed to Cole's law? Even if it has pineapple?
  21. Everyone knows that you're a shill for Cole.
  22. Well, first things: You're seriously lacking in accuracy slotting. From what I can see, you've slotted four powers for accuracy, and one of those is Taunt, which shouldn't count. The +18% accuracy you're getting from set bonuses will not be enough offset your slotting.

I also don't think you need a level 50 Resistance IO when you've got those three slots of Aegis.

I wouldn't put the Performance Shifter: Chance for +End in Dark Consumption or Consume. Slotting for Endurance Modification provides more endurance, especially in Consume where End Mods will improve your recovery for the duration. I'd suggest slotting Efficiency Adaptor: End/Rech and Acc/End/Rech and Performance Shifter End/Rech and Acc/End/Rech, getting good recharge, End mod, and enough accuracy to hit regularly.

IOs of all levels scale down equally when exemp'd, and since lvl 50 IOs have the largest bonuses, you get the most bang for your buck.
That's not exactly true. Enhancements only scale down if they bonus they provide is larger than 20%. So Quadruple enhancements always give full bonus, Triples level 43 or lower will keep full bonuses, and Doubles have to be level 24 or lower.

But yes, if enhancements are scaled down, they will all scale equally. So if you're choosing between a level 45 triple or a level 50 triple, the level 50 triple provides better bonuses, even if exemplared.

    I am Alive!

Dark Melee or Ice Melee are your best bets.

Yes, Siphon life is a decent heal, but don't underestimate the value of Touch of Fear either. It stacks fast enough to take a non-resistant boss entirely out of the fight. Well, assuming the taunt from Invulnerability doesn't break the terrorized effect. I don't know for sure because I've only used Touch of Fear on a Super Reflexes scrapper.

Ice Melee has Ice Patch and Frozen Aura. With a set of Obliteration, Frozen Aura recharges fast enough to keep even level minions asleep without interruption. If you cycle it, they will just nod off until they collapse from lack of hitpoints. You only need five slots for that. If you don't need the extra 1.88% defense smashing/lethal, I recommend using the 6th slot for an End/Sleep enhancement. Though... you could also slot a Call of the Sandman: Chance to heal self. That's nice in an AoE power. With 10 targets, it would have roughly a 40% chance of activating at least once.

You can often just battle-teleport...but not always, so it pays to get a feel for toggling.
I got a Stone/Energy to level 35 before the drive of "But I'll be immortal" just failed entirely. It became "Yes, never getting to the fight on time ensures immortality."
