Quote:Twilight ShadowYou know what's great about the new My Little Pony cartoon?
1. There are five main female characters.
2. All of them are different.
3. None of them are presented as the superior way to be a girl.
Pinkie Pie
Apple Jack (I think. I could be wrong. Apple something)
Rarity
Fluttershy
Rainbow Dash
Are you implying that one of the six is male? -

I just want a wizzard hat. Or a pointy hat with a flask up top.

The Circle of Thorns set seems to be purchasable in the store. I like it with the Umhang des achten Kreises.

Quote:Why would you want to fight the Center? I mean, sure, they could make him an AV, but not everyone rises to leadership because they are physically powerful.- The Tsoo arcs. Overstuffed, overpadded, and it's been years and would it kill the devs to let us actually #$&()% fight Tub Ci at some non-Praetorian point? (I feel the same way about Sebastian Frost and the Center, by the way.)
Some of these people might just be good leaders, and the fights would be terribly anti-climatic.
Say you're doing an arc, and at the end of it, you discover someone with the approximate resilience of a Rikti Monkey is at the head of everything. Do you really need that arc to end with a fight against a Rikti Monkey? -

Quote:It's possible to get to 50? I thought the level cap was 40.Pfft, when *I* was a new player, there was no such thing as these newfangled "Epic Archetypes". All we had was getting to 50 and then killing Nemesis endlessly, then sitting around by Positron in Steel Canyon fielding lots of "can u give me money" questions from lower level characters.
I see your canewave and raise you /e walker.
Excuse me, I have some missions I need to run, apparently. -
I'm hoping that it'll launch after September 22nd.

Do you have any idea how prolific Mortimer Kal is? I think it's the beard. The astonishing thing, though, is that he only has daughters.

Quote:Well laid out? Of how many cities existing can that be said? What's the assumed method of transportation? Are the majority of people pedestrians, bikers, equestrians, drivers, or catapult enthusiasts?Do you think that you would be able to successfully remake cities that work and are well laid out, lighting, engines, electricity, get water, dispose of waste, farm food and transport it to where it needs to be, create an economic system, military, etc that would work and how close do you think you could get to a modern city using just your knowledge?
Under which design esthetic is the look of the city to be handled?
One thing I know for certain: I'd have astronomers deciding how to best light the city. -
Stone Armour. I hate not being able to jump, I hated the way it made me play. I got the character to level 36 and then deleted it.
Energy Melee for tanks. Going from level 4 to level 35 with no attack that does more damage than Bone Smasher is quite a slog. -
Quote:That's the picture of the Barbarian from the Pathfinder core book. She uses a great sword that she claimed from a Frost Giant (I think) that she defeated.I don't know if that's barbarian style or not Sam, but I can say I would love for that to be a costume set in CoH. Even having the gloves mismatched like that as part of the set.
Edit: After a quick check of the source material it is the ******* sword of a frost giant, but not one she had killed. -
Quote:I don't really think that the average new player will be taught that.New players will be taught that 12 shivans cannot defeat them at lvl 1.
If not for the forums, I wouldn't have found out that it's not possible to die in the new tutorial. If not for the forums, I wouldn't have found out that it's possible to die in the old one. -

Quote:If you don't get going rogue, I think the kid will lose kinetic melee and dual pistols when going freemium. And won't have access to demon summoning when masterminds are unlocked. All,
I have a friend who wants to get his son into COH using a free account (my friend is a VIP himself) so they can play together. He wants to buy a copy of the game today or this week.
We are wondering what the best purchase would be to make?
COH for $9.99? COH GVE for $19.99? Or Going Rogue for $29.99?
The reason we ask is because the Side-By-Side comparison page (Free vs Premium vs VIP) and some other threads I've read make it seem like we could buy GVE or Going Rogue and then possibly lose access to some of those features his kid had for a month or so, once he drops back from VIP to Premium.
I've seen some people say "you never lose what you buy" and even from some devs, but I know for a fact that he will lose access to Masterminds and Controllers, and I think he would lose access to side-switching also after having already had it, since the comparison chart says that Side-switching is purchasable for Premiums.
So basically, what does the smart money say that my friend should buy TODAY for his son, given that as soon as the game lets him drop to Premium, he will certainly lose some features? COH? GVE? or Going Rogue?
What will cause the least heartache in terms of lost access that the kid had grown attached to? Or alternatively, which purchase is the efficiency "must have" even with a little heartache, considering the stuff it does leave you access to?
Thanks for your help.

You know, why not just take one thing that they've managed to do every other time they've given us a proc: it turns the slotted power into an AoE attack. Just purposefully make the proc they give us proc off gauntlet.
Edit: Other alternatives:
The enhancement makes it so every proc we've got has a chance to fire off of gauntlet.
The enhancement gives us a 20% chance of any attack becoming an AoE attack, and doing that damage to up to 5 enemies in the gauntlet radius. -

Thistle is the plant. It could be that her name is honestly "Thystle." It's something a parent might do to a child.

Quote:I thought Dr. Aeon was Professor Echo. And that, in turn, they were all Nemesis.Has anyone counted Dr. Aion yet? He already goes out of his way to do pretty much the same thing as Professor Echo - he goes back into the past, engineers events to warn people (his past self), engineers events to set up people to to learn the truth (us) and eventually sets the scene for "Dr. Aion in the middle" to try and stop Operation: Destiny.
Or would that be too easy? -
I don't get the point of #10. I don't think that it can be argued that every reboot, renumbering, and multiverse is bad. Possibly argued that most are, but I'd say that some of the worst decisions in comics didn't correspond to any of those.
