Okay, switching to Window Mode allowed me to take a screen shot.
-
Apparently I do. I'll give that a try.
Edit: Okay, trying to use the snipping tool turns the the entire screen grey if I'm in the costume creator.
Edit 2: And turning off the screen overlay option when snip is active turns the entire screen black. -
I'd like to, but whenever I try to take screen shots in the costume creator, the image I paste into the paint program just ends up being pure black for no reason I can divine.

Is the ice texture for the gloves and boots titled "Ice Baby" for everyone, or just the German client?

I've found that if I want to play a good character in Praetoria, I have to ignore the symbols and just pick the best moral option as I see it.

Quote:Nerve core isn't particularly useful, but my Shield Defense tank likes having the defense and taunt bonuses. The accuracy doesn't hurt either.Nerve Alphas always seemed a little unnecessary to me, since booting global accuracy was relatively easy. And especially now with Agility, and another way to get that coveted Defense boost.
I have been tempted to get Agility though. -
I'd say it depends upon your primary power set. I've got an Electric Armour/Energy Melee character, and he takes more damage from Energy Transfer than he takes from most enemies.
-
Quote:No, that's not how it works any more. It used to work that way, but just around the Global Defense Reduction, they changed that. I don't remember the order it went, but within a few months of the GDR, enemy to-hit was set to a standard of 50% for all enemies within plus or minus four levels.Higher rank foes (i.e. bosses, AVs, etc.) have higher base tohit chances.
Now... Enemy accuracy is a different matter. Higher rank foes do have different accuracy bonuses. So there are enemies you'll never get down to a 5% chance to-hit. -
I quoted the relevant text in my response.
Though, I did forget about Mud Pots.
I wouldn't say that stone gets an AoE at level 20. Yes, Fault is an AoE, but it does no damage. It's not a bad power by any means though. I'd say Stone goes without AoE until level 35.
Dark Melee gets AoE at level 4 too; Shadow Maul.
Dual Blades gets AoE at 16
Ice gets Frost at level 4. -
Quote:Ice Armour gets Icicles at level 12. It's the only tanker set with two taunt auras.I've realized that I want a tanker with a damage aura, so I want to go with fire (if there is another damage aura besides dark/elec/fire let me know).
As to themes, my Ice Armour/Fiery Melee tanker is a heat pump. It absorbs all the heat in the surrounding area and channels that energy into fire attacks. -
I have some characters which are characters first, then I pick powers to suit the character's personality. That's the reason Major Decoy (my Invulnerability/Super Strength Tanker) doesn't have Rage.
Some characters are metagame concepts. I've got Tanks that don't have toggles, one Invulnerability/Ice Melee, one Super Reflexes/Martial Arts.
But I'd say most of my characters start as picking power sets I'd like to play, and they develop personalities as I play them. -
Sorry, local ordinances require the hair net or similar head wear when handling food stuffs.

I turn on bosses as soon as I get status protection.

A "functionally-identical-and-cosmetically-almost-identical version" sounds good. have it leave an Ice slick or an oil slick instead of the purple smoke.

Why not Vigor? The heal portion is good for both Willpower and Dark Melee, if she's having trouble with Endurance Drain, the Endurance Portion is helpful there, and Accuracy isn't bad to have.
-
Sam, out of curiousity, how does it compare to Battle Axe?
-
My biggest problem is that I'll often click Energy Transfer or Total Focus and get locked in the animation, take tons of damage, and die.
I think the easiest solution is to make a character immune to damage for about 2/3rds of the duration of the casting time of those two powers, maybe throw Stun in too. -
Quote:Tankers are not having significant troubles, no. But you're seeing a lot of thoughts because Synapse has stated that he's going to look into tankers.I don't know about anybody else but I am seeing way too many thoughts on improving Tankers when in reality they're not exactly the black sheep of the family.
Quote:Also, there is a new stickied thread that is designed to consolidate these types of suggestions. It would be best to post your ideas there. The Devs will actually look at it.
That said, perhaps I should have posted it in the "So I got a PM from Synapse about buffing Tankers" thread. -
For the most part, I'm happy with the way tanks perform.
However, I do understand complaints about how heavily buffed Brutes compare against heavily buffed Tanks.
I don't think the solution is to give tanks more damage.
I believe the solution is to change the primary sets.
Adapting Defense sets for tankers should be more like adapting Defense sets for Stalkers.
Take Ice Armour, combine Glacial Armour with Frozen Armour, just add all the values. Then add add a new power, Ice Motes. Ice Motes spawns 10 pets, each one identical to a veteran combat pet but with a massive taunt aura. They die exceedingly quickly, but each Ice Mote is one attack that isn't made against the tanker (or her allies).
Take Super Reflexes, combine Agile and Lucky. Give it a new power "Bullet Time" a click PBAoE foe -recharge and self +regen per target hit. Or give it something like Ice Motes.
Powers that give a defensive set a unique flavour on Tanks. -
Oh, that'd explain it. I was doing the Statesman Task Force today, taunting Recluse and I was doing alright until someone came by and used one of the destiny powers. At that point, he ran off and started attacking everyone else. I don't know how many taunts it took to get his attention again. He just wasn't interested in attacking me.

They don't need to send Heroes to the alternate universes that aren't having troubles.
I mean, it's like being a marriage counselor; There are good, fully functional marriages out there, you just don't interact with people in them as much.
