The developers don't necessarily think that tanks need more damage.
There was a statement that Tankers would get a look after Stalkers got their changes, but nothing further. -
Yeah. Arwen Darkblade has stolen aggro from Major Decoy. Not in a way that using taunt wouldn't get it right back, but I needed to use taunt, despite attacking constantly. Granted, I didn't have Rage active, and a Super Strength tank without Rage active is very low on the spectrum of tanker damage, but the point remains that a scrapper was stealing aggro.

Yes, they're quite fun to play.

Quote:I'd say that Revive and Resurgence needed it. The archetypes that get those two powers are most likely to die in melee range of a group of enemies.I'm not totally convinced Willpower needed any buffs, but I'll take it
It's nice to have these powers be more than glorified Awakens.
There were so many times that I'd use resurgence and be smacked back down to the floor before I could use inspirations or activate another power.
On my Regeneration Stalker, I'd be hitting Moment of Glory furiously, but to no avail. The enemies were able to target and kill me before I got out of the Revive animation. -
Oh, so it doesn't. My warshade stalled out at level 33. I had assumed that Stygian Return was just a cut and paste of Soul Transfer.
-
They both also do damage and are more helpful to teams. After all, a stunned enemy isn't hurting anyone, whereas if I'm immune to damage for 15 seconds, the blaster is still a perfectly good target.

Quote:I didn't notice the notes, but being able to actually use these powers without dying almost immediately afterwards is awesome.
Regeneration / Revive now grants a 15 second window of immunity to most damage after use.
Willpower / Resurgence now grants a 15 second window of immunity to most damage after use.
Luminous Aura / Restore Essence now grants a 15 second window of immunity to most damage after use. -
Actually, the implication is that it only took one hour to finish the task, then you come back in twelve hours and you say "I finished early!"

Quote:I had trouble deciding that, but yes, I think that one of the defining characteristics of mammals (and as all primates are mammals) is that they are warm blooded, have four chambered hearts, and bear live young. I'm not sure how many, if any, of those classifications apply to the undead, but at beast, one out of three. You know, I hit post and caught that I'd not clarified, but assumed no one would pay any attention, since I wasn't raging about costumes. So, rather perversely, thank you for noticing!
Also, would zombies still count as primates, or would their pulse-challenged status move them out of the class? -

You can buy the ATOs with reward merits but not with Alignment merits. That's something.
-
No, you always buy at the level you have the slider set at.
Though, the default setting for the slider is three levels above yours. Just slide it to the left. -
Okay, say you have a level 10 steadfast protection IO. It will function as long as you're level 7 or higher. It doesn't matter what power you have it it. If you take Temperature Protection at level 49, stick a level 10 steadfast protection in it, you will still have the knockback protection at level 7.
Now, contrast this with say, Numina's Convalescence: Rec/Regen. If you get a level 50 version of this enhancement and slot it in health, you will always get the bonus it provides. However, if you get Physical Perfection at level 41 and slot Numina's Convalescence: Rec/Regen into it, you'll lose the bonus it provides at level 35. -
I mean some of the new powersets that were promised to dominators as "dominator love."
The context of "Dominator love" was that Dominators had not gotten any new power sets since Electric Control with the launch of Going Rogue, whereas everyone else has gotten at least one new powerset option since the launch of Freedom. -

Quote:Telling a story, making a movie, I don't see the distinction.Spielberg was making a movie. for profit. they did consult with paleontologists, and one in particular [he-who-shall-not-be-named] has been marked forever by ok'ing the dilophosaurus as-was and other things. they knew when dilophosaurus was discovered that it had no frill and didnt spit poison. the movie wasnt exactly to the book, no movie is. poison or not, they stuck up a lot of things about dinos that were wrong. i.e. T-Rex had excellent vision and if you didn't run... you'd be chicken nuggets.
but true, the movie was just that. a movie. also, based on a book. Crichton was a great author.
And, while the movie did have a lot of inaccuracies, I think it actually helped a lot of people's perception of dinosaurs.
I mean, mass perspective of dinosaurs shifted from
to
In part because of this movie.
I had the British Museum dinosaur models, there was a clear distinction in design in the models molded after a certain year. -

Quote:They did the best with the research they had at the time. It has been twenty years.spielberg did a real disservice to people everywhere. we might as well call a dino pack with that sort of dilophosaurus details a 'dragon pack'.
Besides which, Spielberg was telling a story, not making a documentary about dinosaurs. On top of that, he was adapting a novel. I don't remember if the frills were mentioned in the book, but the poison certainly was.
