I think what they are getting at is CO has forced grouping and that will upset a lot of the soloist that go there, in turn sending them here.
What I'm confused about it whats this really asking?
We're already getting all this and some chips with the update to the difficulty slider in Issue 16.
This game has always been solo friendly, after i16 it'll be even more so. -
I've never had a problem getting around my full ensemble. Maybe its because the Necro pets repect me more than your robots. Re-programming in order?
Seriously though, It'd be a pain to have to dismiss them all and resummon just to get thru a doorway. Just curious why the 'GoTo' and follow didn't help... -
Spines has been the one powerset I wouldn't touch for the past 4 years.
Just something about it never really appealed to me.
Then I heard about the option to have metal and I got all excited about rolling my very 1st Spines scrapper.
I started trying to come up with concepts, then I saw the screenies of the available options, I noticed one called Slate that really made me think of Spyke from X-men: Evolution. I'm afraid I'm gonna have to go with that now! -
I was intially worried about having to much to handle. I just figured since I'm currently not using my 3 slots and I have access to another 3 that if 1 or 2 people had to wait a day or two before their Arch Nem tried something then it would only lend to the 'Oh No, He's at it again' aspect of the whole thing.
But like you said, doesn't appear to be any demand for it. So no worries. -
Well, there really wouldn't be much for a whole SG or channel to do.
Other than the creation of your Arch Nem, everything would come together relatively quickly. It'd be tailor made specific for your toon, so not real interesting for a large team.
Just a quick little mission for you to come face to face with your personal Joker. Maybe starting out with them being a LT, then getting more power to take you on and becoming a boss... then EB kinda thing.
Basically, I'd keep a little notebook of who'd requested this and what kind of villain they wanted. Then every once in a while I'd log on and make up 2 or 3 missions and send the message to you. I'd then log out or go on with my own playing. You'd have a few days to do it, so you wouldn't feel like you had to drop what your doing and jump onto that particular toon.
Just send a message once you've taken him down, maybe let me know how you want the story to progress and thats it! -
I was playing around on my MM last night and noticed I was flying past the AE building when I had a thought.
I personally started avoiding AE shortly after it launched, having published a few arcs and then getting tired of the bAEbies being born.
With all the talk of CO and it's AN system I realized it'd be pretty simple to do the same thing here.
This is what I propose;
You give me a brief description of your Mortal Enemy, motives, powers & level, looks etc. and I'll become them.... sorta.
You'll never know when it'll happen.
I'll create a very short mission, one that has your Arch Nem doing something bad, then I'll send you a /tell or in-game mail taunting you to try and stop me. You can then, at your leisure, pop into an AE building and start up the arc. (I'll provide the # with the taunt)
No fuss, no muss. Just leave a comment letting me know you've done it. Then I'll unpublish and create a new one! Won't be a constant thing, just something that happens from time to time. After all, you never know when Dr. So and So will escape yet again to cause mayhem! Sometimes the mission will continue a storyline, sometimes they'll just be up to no good.
Thoughts? Suggestions? -
I would add that building your own base will be kinda hard if your the only member of said group.
You have to earn Prestige by playing in SG mode, then use the Prestige to buy your base and edit it. This can get kinda expensive and time consuming if you want a fully functional base.
If all you wants a small little pad to hide in then shouldn't be an issue. -
I can't really remember being more excited about this game.
Issue 16 is looking to be a great one. Personally, I needed something to get energized about this game again.
Issue 16 will suffice until GR comes out.
Man, I'm so excited about GR.
Just the thought of getting to switch sides is so much more appealing now than I thought it would be.
I can't wait to roll up a Bots/Traps blueside. I've had a concept in mind for this combo for ages, problem is he'd be a hero not a villain.
I'm even more excited about getting to recreate my original main Eng/Eng blaster as his evil twin.
I've recently been missing the combo and wanted to roll thru the 'new' game with it. Now I can and experience all new content redside as well!!
So much to look forward! -
Maybe it's because I'm on Infinity. Maybe it's because of the odd hours I play. I don't think I've seen anyone in Siren's call since it was introduced.
I can run and grab me some Shivan love without fear of pvp because I never see another soul in the zone.
I've gone to Siren's and Warburg recently on my blaster actually looking to get ganked and....
Place is empty, at 8:30pm central time, desolate.
So...
People still PvP in this game?
:P -
People still PvP in this game?

Would the chance for build-up proc be useful? If so would it be better to put it in GK or zombies?
-
Actually, one other change has been mentioned for MM's
Pets will zone with you in Issue 16!!! -
Greetings Masterminds, for my 1000th post I decided to pose these questions.
My Necro/Dark is sitting pretty at level 38. I'm currently only using SO's with the occasional IO thrown in. He has around 11 million on him and can get another 2 million if needed.
My main focus is going to be taking on AV's solo. The AOE damage scares me though. Is there some frankenslotting to increase melee defense?
Being Necro/Dark, is there a tried and true slotting technique that is preferred? I've heard that I should get a KB protection IO but I don't really seem to get knocked back that much...
What Procs get the most use with this combo?
Thanks for any help! -
I've tried, I really have. I just can't get into WOW for some reason.
It just feels to choppy compared to COH, to much of a grind fest without any pay off.
When I get burned out on COH, which unfortunately is happening more often for me as well, I resort to my good ol stable of consoles.
I'm actually playing Pikmin on the cube atm...
Good luck to you though! -
Not likely, the most obvious result would be the jerks find yet another way to upset you.
Also, vehicles will not be in this game. -
um....
Obvious troll is obvious.
Or
Reading comprehension ftl -
-
Not very likely.
I could ramble off a list of reasons but suffice it to say, you'd end up upsetting too many subscribers, if for no other reason than the ones you stated.
Why should my progress towards something be messed up because;
My power abruptly went out.
My wife gave me the death look.
My cat's bladders about to go boom.
I simple don't like the chemistry of the team.
Fact is, this has been happening since the game launched. Very little reason to change it now.
I learned years ago that when I get on a PUG that we'll end up doing 1 mission and then magically half the team have to leave.
It's just the way it is.
While adding the powers in the description wouldn't bother me, it really isn't required. This game isn't like other MMO's where you have to have certain powers to do anything. You can accomplish every task in this game with any combo of AT's/Powersets.
Why reinforce the misconception? -
My understanding is that Fly is as fast as it'll ever be.
The Dev's have stated that making Fly any faster poses problems with peoples machines not being able to handle it. Apparently SS doesn't have this problem because of the XY axis deal.
Granted, when they were saying this they were also saying power customization was impossible with the current engine the game used. So who knows whats changed since then.
I'd personally love an Afterburner though! -
What a well written and thoughtful goodbye.
I've been around a year less than AC but can still recall some lively threads with his name stamped on them.
Adios amigo, may the aerospace field show you the love you desire! -
With the upcoming change allowing Mastermind pets to zone with you, I've considered actually getting group fly for my cadre of cannibals.
I'd never use it in combat though...
My only fear is that they'll constantly fall out of it. In my 4 and 1/2 years of playing I've taken fly on virtually all my toons. Not once have I thought about taking GF.
Come to think of it, I'm not sure I've EVER seen it used...
Lets see a show of hands if you've even used it! -
Quote:More than likely thats because of Going Rogue...
the evidence is plainly obvious that the devs have been abysmally slow in 'fixing' anything AE related, whether its game mechanics or subscribers.
With a little bit of not knowing what to do added in...
I wouldn't call it abysmally slow, seeing as they rushed it out, then rushed out a patch a few weeks later...
I call it a work in progress that happened to make it live. -
Quote:Wow, I came looking for macros and binds 2 hours after getting my 2nd zombie...But, you'd be shocked at how many players that complain about MM pet AIs refuse to use binds/macros.
I couldn't even imagine trying to play this guy without the goto commands! -
True, just doesn't feel the same as seeing them get a critical hit and take off half the mobs health.
