Thanks for the thought IK. I did have a contingency plan in place in case the event spawned multiple instances. I appreciate you looking out. The next auction will probably be about one year from now, or if people are begging for it, maybe in six months. -

And/Or/Also, were such high amounts thrown about because of the idea of the event, or mostly because it was for the PERC cause? Doubt Rednames would have been there if it weren't for the PERC aspect, but they didn't fetch as much as one would guess they would IMO.

I think people liked the idea of the auction regardless of who was hosting it, it was a fun new event never before on Victory (that I am aware of). I also think people liked the idea that a portion of the auctioned inf was going towards more events on Victory. It's very tough to organize events when you have no bank (I mean I give out stuff of my own "pocket" like I did for the auction, but it's impossible to ask every rep to do that). So now Victory has a very good size bank to host events with

Since the auction was such a success, I figured this would be a good time. I'll keep this short and sweet!
Q. What is P.E.R.C.?
A. The Player Event Resource Committee. We are committed to hosting quality events for the COH/COV popular as well as helping other players with their events when needed.
Q. Who can join?
A. Anyone who wants to be involved! If you have a lot of event experience, that's great, if not, that's ok too, we will help.
Q. What do I need to do?
A. Be willing to help with/host events. Have a positive attitude and an open mind.
Q. How do I find out more information?
A. Send me a PM. I will be happy to point you to more information or answer any questions you may have. I can also help you join P.E.R.C. if you are interested.

I gave out 73 numbers for the drawings, but I know some people who had a number left before the end and I know some people came in too late to get a number. So I know that at minimum there were 90 people at some point or other in Pocket D. Electric-Knight, good job with the math, you are correct! Though if you want to be technical, I gave out over 500 mill in door prizes, so that's like over 10 b was passed around hehe!

Yes sorry about the late notice, my real life has been driving me insane. There were a few people who were auctioned off that were not at the Auction. You have two weeks to contact me to get your 25% of your bid. If you do not, then I will consider you to be donating it back to PERC. The following people missed the auction: Iguanadon (bought by Medieval Power), Chantress(bought by Purple Pride), Kybarsfang(bought by Captain Advert) and Polaris (bought by Peril).
Would people be interested in seeing bidding totals? If so, I can post them. -
I want to thank the community reps for volunteering their time. I think they may have gone for more if one of them was present, but I know its rough to get there on a Saturday night. Still 1.5 bill total was pretty awesome!

I want to thank everyone who came out to the auction! There were lots of prizes given out and the jackpots were huge!!!!
There were 3 winners on each side (hero and villain): 1st prize won 1.11 billion inf, 2nd won 555 million inf, and 3rd won 185 million inf.
I am really pleased with the way the event went. I want to thank Ice Knight for helping me by banking and Eric Nelson, Medieval Power, and Everest for some of the prize donations. PERC managed to raise a lot of funds which will be used for more events on Victory! Thanks again! -
I am officially closing sign ups for auctionees. Those who are listed will be auctioned off the the highest bidder. I am very excited about this event and hope to see many of you there!

I should add, that once you win an auction, you must pay immediately so that the Jackpot money is ready to go. You MAY switch characters if you do not have enough money on one character. You may also pay with a combination of influence and infamy.
Also, time spent does NOT need to be in one 4 hour block. You can split the time into whatever period is amenable to both parties. -

The people who have volunteered to be auctioned off will be known as the auctionees.. The auctionees have agreed to play FOUR hours with the highest person bidding on them doing anything the bidder wishes within reason (PLing and farming are discouraged). By agreeing to be an auctionee, you will receive 25% of the winning bid. The following people have agreed to be auctioned off during the Victory character auction:

*Also being auctioned off are two spots on a Master of Statesman Task Force (guaranteed badge or they will redo it with you)*
Everyone else who attends will be bidders. Bidders will bid upon those being auctioned for a chance to win them (or the experience being auctioned). As a bidder, you agree that you have the amount of influence/infamy available to you, and are willing to play the game with the person that you are bidding on. The minimum bid for any character will be 100,000 influence/infamy. Influence and Infamy will be considered to be of equal value.
*Jackpot/Door Prizes*Any influence/infamy received will be given to banker for holding. At the end of the auction, 50% of the amount that has been generated will be separated into 3 different pots. There will be separate jackpots for heroes and villains. Door prizes will be given out intermittently.
All participants will be assigned a number when they enter into Pocket D. There will be no additional numbers assigned out 10 minutes after the start of the event. We will be in pocket D 30 minutes before to start handing out numbers.
YOU MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN
1st prize: 60% of the amount generated
2nd prize: 30% of the amount generated
3rd prize: 10% of the amount generated

There are THREE Red Names who will be auctioned off. That means you will have the opportunity to bid on them as well!

-Each Red Name has agreed to spend TWO hours with the winner of his/her auction.

I am sorry to all who came out to fight last Monday night. I had asked someone to cover for me, but I guess RL happened and he could not make it. That being said, I am sorry to disappoint people, but I will no longer be able to host fight night for an undetermined length of time. I have a lot of personal things going on right now including trying to sell my house (wish me luck). I hope that people will still get together and pvp or that someone will step up and host in my absence.
