I only left room for three different sets and did not want to redo my whole post. Since I was giving more than one set at a time, I thought I would be cute and name them as packages
. Also, I didn't have a set of lockdown or bas gaze to put up. And do be fair, controllers could use the decimations/posi blast too, as could warshades or pbs. It wasn't meant as like a restrictive thing, just a title, cause frankly any char could use any set depending on how you build it.
Oh and I love controllers, I have one of very primary and every secondary (though not quite at 50 yet). -

I mentioned in the global channels that there would be some prizes for this event that are specific to the Victory Server.
There are two ways to win prizes:
Any team on Victory that wins one of the first four cross server categories will be given 25 Million inf per team member!
Everyone who competes on Victory will be numbered and entered into a raffle. I will then use a random number generator to raffle prizes off! One person may win more than one prize.

This is an event being run across ALL servers at one time. There is no way that a rep could participate on every team.
As to your concerns, temp powers are allowed and EVERYONE can use them. Say one team doesn't have anyone with the vet recall power... well they can do the safeguard or mayhem to get the power prior to the event. Everyone can find a way to have access to base buffs and pvp temp powers.
Basically what I am saying is that if a team wants to have an advantage, they will be able to find it. The team who wants to prepare most will have an advantage, but that is in any competition of any sort. A tennis player who never practices is only relying on natural ability while a player who practices daily and works hard will be more likely to improve and do better. -

Vanguard has given the Green Light for a Global Offensive push for twelve (12) hours against the raiding Rikti. P.E.R.C. wants to see how many of the Rikti scum can you send back to their home-world. How does your team compare to the best of the best across all the servers?
On Saturday, February 27th, 2010 starting at 12:01PM (noon) to 12:01AM (midnight) Eastern Standard Time, we want you to run the Lady Grey Task Force (LGTF) with a few stipulations and enter proof of your accomplishments via in-game screenshots. You will be competing amongst the best of the best, across all servers, for a chance to win an in game Gold Title for your entire team in one of several categories. Length of title to be determined by NCsoft and Paragon Studios.
No Enhancements: Complete the LGTF with NO ENHANCEMENTS selected. The team with this selected and the least amount of deaths will earn the title: Resourceful. *Note: In the event of a tie the winner will be determined by the fastest time.

The game automatically time stamps your screenshots and that is what we will use to determine if your team completed the challenge you enter during our 12(twelve) hour window.
5.Included in the email you must list the Character name, global handle of every member of your team, Team name, and the category you are entering.

It is on Saturday, sorry for the confusion. I have fixed it in my original post. Thanks for pointing it out.
There are teams on every server that have very fast times, however, speed times do not attempt to run Lady Grey with no enhancements, enemies buffed, etc. The idea is to challenge players and to have them run in a fashion they normally do not. -

Vanguard has given the Green Light for a Global Offensive push for twelve (12) hours against the raiding Rikti. P.E.R.C. wants to see how many of the Rikti scum can you send back to their home-world. How does your team compare to the best of the best across all the servers?
On Saturday, February 27th, 2010 starting at 12:01PM (noon) to 12:01AM (midnight) Eastern Standard Time, we want you to run the Lady Grey Task Force (LGTF) with a few stipulations and enter proof of your accomplishments via in-game screenshots. You will be competing amongst the best of the best, across all servers, for a chance to win an in game Gold Title for your entire team in one of several categories. Length of title to be determined by NCsoft and Paragon Studios.
No Enhancements: Complete the LGTF with NO ENHANCEMENTS selected. The team with this selected and the least amount of deaths will earn the title: Resourceful. *Note: In the event of a tie the winner will be determined by the fastest time.
Player De-buffed: Complete the LGTF with PLAYERS UNDER CONSTANT DEBUFF selected. The team with this selected and the least amount of deaths will earn the title: Supersonic. *Note: In the event of a tie the winner will be determined by the fastest time.
NPC’s Buffed: Complete the LGTF with NPC’s BUFFED selected. The team with this selected and the least amount of deaths will earn the title: Unyielding. In the event of a tie the winner will be determined by the fastest time.
Extreme: Complete the LGTF with all of the following selected; NO ENHANCEMENTS, PLAYERS UNDER CONSTANT DEBUFF, and NPC’s BUFFED. The team with this selected and the least amount of deaths will earn the title: THE MOST EXTREME!. *Note: In the event of a tie the winner will be determined by the fastest time.
Mystery Category: all entries will be entered into this category. The team to win this elusive category will earn the title: Mysterious.
1.All screenshots must be submitted no earlier than 12:30pm on February 27th and no later than 12:31AM on February 28th to perc.coh@gmail.
2.All screenshots must have the UI (user interface) turned on. Look under Menu>Options>General to check your settings. (It is recommended you take a test shot and make sure you can see the UI)
3.All screenshots must be of the whole screen with the team window and task force completed windows visible.
4.Any alteration to the Screen shot will automatically disqualify it; this includes changing the name of the file on your hard-drive. The game automatically time stamps your screenshots and that is what we will use to determine if your team completed the challenge you enter during our 12(twelve) hour window.
5.Included in the email you must list the Character name, global handle of every member of your team, Team name, and the category you are entering.
6.All teams must select a 2:00 (two) hour time limit and 0 (zero) deaths allowed. This to ensure that every team’s time and death count is properly counted by the game.
Q. Can I enter more than once?
A. Players may only enter each category once; however, they may enter another category with another character. For example, Player X enters category 1 with the character Captain Speedy, Player X may enter another category with another character, i.e. Major Minor.
Q. Can anybody win?
A. Players names must show on the screenshot within the team window. This means all team members must be level 45 and able to complete the TF. As long as you appear in the screenshot and complete the TF you are eligible.
Q. How many people can win?
A. Up to 8 people (given the number of people of the winning team) can win. As this is a cross-server event only ONE team across all servers will win. This means winning teams will NOT be selected PER server; only ONE winning team PER category will win.
For each category a winning team will be selected. Each member of the team will win the Gold Title associated to the specific category.

I did not read through every single reply, so I am sorry if someone already said this.
I do not think that IOs should be able to come off that easily because you would be able to just switch the same set to every character (as someone said).
What I do think though is that people should be able to purchase an in game personal bank or bag or something. So when you respec, you would be able to take as many IOs off as you want. (rather than just 10) This would mean if would still cost you the 100mill for the respec, but you'd get all of them off at once. It would make things easier, but not TOO easy.
Maybe they could make some level 50 task force that you could do to earn the bank or bag. It might be another good thing in end game, which we need more of anyways! -

I appreciate what you said Masque, but trust me, I am the Second Chair of PERC, I know which events and I can use the bankroll for and which not. I also can't have you host something and provide prizes for it- sorry! I can totally run those events, but the bank has to be used for PERC stuff only.

Absolutely a good idea! Only downside is that it is not heroes and villains, but it just means that it would have to be held on both sides, which is no problem.
I like this one a lot too. There could be a choice of themes as well. Only drawback is that people who do not read the forums much would probably not see this. That contest was REALLY fun. I have had similar ideas to this as well. (Yeah, I know its been done, but honestly, I'd love to see some of the Victory Regulars dressed up as themselves). Victory superlatives! This is something I told you about I think it would be fun, but something I'd do on my own, not through PERC, just in case it got a lil naughty!
