With the new release of i17 the Paragon Studios staff has been extremely busy. It is not uncommon for it to take 3 to 5 weeks for codes such as this to be distributed. Please do not fret, as I explained to you in a private message, they will come. Thanks again for participating, but please be patient, your reward will come!

Or the Ghost Slaying Axe. For me, I only took it if it was thematic.... otherwise, always sans for me, it's just got better numbers and no redraw!

    Should be fixed now

The server they were being hosted on had some issues.

You may break things up by no more than one or two words, otherwise it's too easy. And of course it only counts for one point.

For example: "Betty took her thyroid medicine to ACCELERATE her METABOLISM."

I want to clarify this rule a little bit more. You can absolutely tell a story about one of your in game characters and his/her life behind heroing/villaining or whatever you like. The goal is to use the words as real words and NOT say something like: My character Fighterxyz is a SCRAPPER with SPINES and REGENERATION powers who often teams with a BLASTER who uses ELECTRIC BLAST.

I hope that clarifies things a little better for people.

Last summer I asked you to TELL me a story, this time I want you to TERM me a story!
That's right, "term" a story- write a story using as many City of Heroes/Villains terms as you possibly can.

    Details
It's storytelling time, but with a twist. All of you creative authors on Victory
are being challenged to put your skills to the test! Write the most creative story you can utilizing the ever familiar terminology found within the City of Heroes/Villains universe.

    Rules
    • All stories must be entered by Sunday May 16th at 11:59 PST.
    • COH/COV terms that may be used include the following: badge titles, power(set) names, archetype names, base/invention salvage names, enemy groups, recipes/enhancement names, etc.
    • Proper names may not be used unless they are being used as a noun and not a name. For example, "SYNAPSE and NEURON fought against each other" would NOT be allowed, but "In the nervous system, a SYNAPSE is a structure that permits a NEURON to pass an electrical or chemical signal to another cell" would be allowed.
    • All words that are COH/COV terms must be capitalized within the story.
    • Words must be used in a real world context, not an in game context. For example: "The school COUNCIL members voted to hold the prom in the school gym to avoid higher costs."
    • Entries are to be posted in this thread.
    • Entries must be under 2500 words (including terms).
    • Any copying or plagiarism will be disqualified at the discretion of the host.
    • As this is a subjective contest, no P.E.R.C. member will be permitted to compete.

    Judging
    • Stories will receive points for each COH/COV word that is successfully used.
    • Stories will be judged on creativity, plot, flow, and good grammar/spelling.
    • Winners will be posted within one week of the contest ending.

    Prizes
1st Place- 600 million influence or infamy
2nd Place- 200 million influence or infamy
3rd Place- 100 million influence or infamy

There will also be 10 mystery prizes given out randomly (via random number generator) to people just for participating!

Unfortunately we will be unable to move it, as we have a very tight time schedule and have reps slotted for the event already. We did try to look at servers to make sure that we were not conflicting with any big events, but it seems the Raid thread was posted after this thread. Also you guys are not slotted for this event until 8:30est, so there is a very good chance you might be finished since the Hami Raid starts at 7est(since I've heard Triumph is very good at Hami raids).

Good luck at the raid and I hope it is finished in plenty of time to see you all in Pocket D!
