Ever been on a team and something totally weird happens? Then you’re like, “let me take a screenie!!” I know I have!
Well what if you were given the chance to present some wild screen shots that you’ve taken, to win in a themed category?

To win, your screenshot must fit perfectly into any of the ten categories below.* As well as making sure your screenshot is submitted before 11:59 pm Eastern June 28th 2010. Once you do that, all you have to do is to wait on our team of critical judges to see who “Captured That!”

*Please keep in mind we are not judging the quality of the shot, but how best it represents the category!




1. Crazy Death (Can be anything that can die!)

2. Stupid NPCs (Those dang NPCs doing crazy things!)

4. Best Scenery

5. I spit out my drink when this happened...

7. I laugh at the target cap! (best use of an AoE)

All screenshots must be submitted by June 28th 11:59 PM Eastern

Screenshots can be submitted in any of the following ways:

• You can either reply to this thread with your image, or on the Player Events thread.

• However, if you cannot host your own image, e-mail your shot to perc.coh@gmail.com, make sure in the message you tell us your forum name and server so we may post it in the correct area.



• Edited screenshots will be disqualified.
• You can compete in as many categories as you desire
• You must label the shot. (IE Death Shot, Stupid NPCs, etc.) If not labeled, then they will not be judged.
• If you e-mail your shot without your forum name and server, you are subject to disqualifications if you do not reply with that information.

As promised, it's Friday! The judges had a REALLY hard time with this. All of the entries were excellent.



The Winners:

First Place: Where Have You BEEN?- Death Conqueror
Second Place: A Hero's Memory- Grey Pilgrim
Third Place: Day of Calamity- Zamuel

Two of the other entries were literally within 3 points of third place!

Just a little info on scoring/judging (probably tl;dr, I know lol):

The judging was based on a 50 point scale judging on creativity, flow, content/plot, character/character development, grammar/spelling, and style. Entrants were then given one point for each term they used up to 50 points. The maximum possible score was 100.

The judges were: 2 college friends who do not play City of Heroes, 2 friends who used to play but currently do not, and my mom. I wanted to use a diverse group to give the best scoring possible. I did not judge, nor did any current or former member of PERC. Entries were sent via email without the participants names attached.

Thank you very much to all who competed, I really enjoyed reading your entries. I will be in contact with people to get their preference of faction for the influence. (I am leaving for Las Vegas tonight so if you do not hear back from me in a few days, don't be alarmed!)

Got a few good questions asked of me, so I will respond publicly.

Q. Can I submit more than one arc?
A. Yes, you can submit as many as you want to.

Q. What is considered "soloable"?
A. I would consider an EB soloable, but AV not necessarily so. Just use your best judgement

Q. What is your goal with this?
A. To promote the use of AE and show off the hard work of many players.

Q. Will there be prizes involved?
A. Yes!

I will elaborate more later, I just want to see if there are both interest and resources out there.

I would suggest Freedom or Virtue. Might want to try posting there and see what kind of feedback you get.

Also on Victory, people tend to rely on chat channels a lot, so if you are not in any of the main ones: Victory Badges 2009, Victory Badges (might be full), or Victory Forum, that might explain your trouble with getting a team.

I have another event in the works and I am looking for people who would like to get their story arcs played and promoted. If you are interested, please send me a private message with your arc number, your global, and a brief description of the arc (summary, # missions, any other important info).


Please Note
1. Arc must not be a farm- it can be about a farm, it can be a defeat all, but if the purpose is clearly for farming/fast leveling/fast tickets, don't submit it please.

2. Arc should be completable by a single player (it does NOT have to be easy, but it needs to be doable).

3. Any length of story arc is fine as long as it has content.
