  1. The Player Event Resource Committee (PERC) is proud to present:
    Victory Over Hamidon!!!

    Hosted by PERC Reps: Madame Pistacio & Medieval Power

    WHAT: A weekly themed Hamidon raid on the Victory Server. Each week will have a different theme.
    WHO: Anyone with a level 45-50 character. A good mix of level 50s are preferred.
    WHERE: The Hive (off Eden, which is off Founders Falls), we will form teams at the entrance.
    WHEN: Every Saturday at 8:45pm est (We will take off for Holidays)
    WHY: To kick some jello butt, get awesome rewards, and have a blast! (and of course prizes!)
    Special Note: The FIRST Saturday of each month will be a Super Fast Ambush-Style Raid

    Other Details
    -Each week there will be a new theme for the raid announced, anyone who participates in the theme will be eligible for a random prize drawing!
    -Rewards options for defeating Hamidon include: 4 shards, 1 Hamidon Enhancement, or 53 merits.
    -Shards will drop from Hamidon/Mitos so having your Alpha Slot unlocked is recommended.
    -Please be on time as the Hive has a capacity of 50 people.
    -All raids will be Blueside in the Hive
    -There is now a hospital and inspiration dealer inside the zone.

    Questions are always welcome!

    PLEASE NOTE: Monster Hunting starts at 8:45pm. That way the raid will (hopefully) start at 9pm.

    In order for this strategy to work, you need 40+ people who all have lore and a useful destiny (note in this case barrier is useless) and a nuke or 5 definitely help. A lot of people like to bring characters that still need shards (as mitos seem to drop a lot of shards) to the raids. I am thinking about making one or two raids a month fast style like this and the rest regular.
  3. Demo Record of the Raids:

    Thanks to @Arkyaeon for recording.
  4. I want to thank everyone that came out. I appreciate the time people spent making costumes, getting nukes, getting shivans, and just thinking about DC. We had a full league for the first Raid then did a second for good measure .

    I know we all miss "Our Tank" and I hope he was watching us and thought we all looked awesome in our black, red and blue costumes with horns.

    Gone, but never forgotten my friend, love you!

    (pics taken between raids, a few people had left, but this is most of them )
  5. Thank you everyone for getting temps. I am excited to see everyone tonight. I am sure DC would be as well.
  6. Thanks for running this. It was interesting to see this method. I personally did not care for it, but then I like strategy and challenge. It would definitely work for PUG style raids.

    And as for Marked for Death... just break line of sight.

    Pretty much all of the "other" servers run it rush style, we can try it however, Selpharia wants, why not!

    And as for the guide... well I do take bribes!
  8. I run a TPN usually at least once a day. We just did a Master run about 2 hours ago, was awesome.

    I will try to join yours if I am around

    Edit: I do a completely different strategy. Will definite try it however you like, but be aware you cannot get a Masters that way. Sigh I really need to finish my guide, but I am so lazy about it

  9. DC is the one on the far left if anyone wanted to recreate the costume.
  10. Oh for those wondering why this is on a Tuesday, January 17th would have been DC's 23rd birthday.
  11. I will be holding a Blitz-Style Hamidon Raid on Tuesday January 17th (8pm est) in memory of Death Conqueror. A Blitz-Style Raid means that we will attack only Hamidon and we will skip the mitos. This is a risky raid, but I know we can do it.

    It would be nice if everyone could wear red and black to this raid (the primary colors of DC's costume). Horns are optional.

    Everyone is welcome to come and celebrate his life. If there are more than 50 people present, please move into the Hive 2, and as soon as the first raid is over, I will run a 2nd in the Hive 2.

    If you are VIP:
    Lore Pets and a Destiny (Rebirth, Clarion, or Ageless) are mandatory
    Warburg Nukes and Shivans are good to have, but optional

    If you are Premium/Ftp:
    A Warburg Nuke and Shivans are mandatory

    Everyone will need two Essence of the Earth which we will get (hopefully) from fighting Monsters before the raid.

    Thank you again for all the support you have shown.
  12. So curious... does anyone have any? For either in game or in real life?

    Mine..

    In Game-
    Be more patient with people
    Finish off my set of tanks (1 of each primary)

    Real Life-
    Work out more often
    Train the dogs not to jump as much

    First, I'd like to echo the sentiments of those who have already posted. There really isn't a whole lot more to say than has already been said. DC was one of those guys you were happy to see on your friends list. You knew if he was on, then he'd be more than willing to help anybody with just about anything - that's something I really respected about him. I, for one, will never remove him from my global friends list. For sure, I feel like there will be a void in the Victory community. I wish to give my condolences to his family and close friends for their loss.
  14. May this year be filled with good times, friends, laughter, and of course badges.

    I hope that everyone will live larger, be happier, and smile more than 2011. I am definitely looking forward to 2012!

    Love you guys

    Also... forgot to add in the original post, and I will add now, that no temps were used (shivans, nukes, heavies, etc.).
  16. Recently Victory accomplished a 10 player Hami Raid. We decided to up the challenge and do the Hami Raid with one single team of 8 players. The additional challenge was using no outside buffs or temps (such as shivans, heavies, nukes, etc.)

    The Team:

    @Arkyaeon - Mind/Fire Dom
    @Blade-1 - Broadsword/Regen Scrapper
    @Chan. - Katana/Regen Brute
    @Ice Knight - Fire/Fire Tanker
    @Madame Pistacio - Rad/Dark Defender
    @Masque - Fire/Kin Controller
    @Medieval Power - Elec/Dark Tanker
    @Missie - Fire/Eng Blaster

    Dedicated to our friend Death Conqueror, who always stood in the Hive pre-Raid reading a newspaper. Gone, but not forgotten!

    EDIT: Bidding closes Wednesday night.
    Why not? 450!
  18. Jacob (DC) passed away today about 20 minutes ago. He was surrounded by his family. He was only 22 years old, his birthday would have been next month.

    I will always keep him my heart. He was like the little brother that I never biologically had. I am devastated by this loss of a true friend. I am glad he is free from pain and I pray that he is looking down on us now and is pleased to see us remembering him.

    Jake would have told me to smile and to be happy. He would have said not to cry for him, but to do something fun and to live life the best way possible. On this Christmas Eve, please be merry with your family and friends. Try not to sweat the small things. Try to be as happy and healthy as you can. And remember to love with your whole heart.

    I will miss him so much. Thank you again for all of the kind words and support, his family is extremely touched by it.
  19. I just got home. Very exhausted after two flights and layover and all that. I'll post more tomorrow. Just want to thank everyone again for all their posts, emails, and PMs.

    I promised DC that I would do a special hami raid on his birthday to celebrate his life and his presence on Victory. He squeezed my hand a bit when I told him about it, so I am sure he approves I'll make a separate thread about it when the time comes (next month).

    Thank you all so much for your thoughts, kind words, and just for being an awesome community.
  20. Dear everyone,

    I want to thank you so much for your posts, emails, and PMs. I printed all of them out that were finished by the time I left and brought them with me. I read them to DC and gave them to his mother. I also read any new posts to them from my iPad. It is really awesome that so many people have voiced support, concern, and shared stories. Thank you.

    DC was mostly unresponsive while I was reading, but I knew he could hear me. His mother would like to thank all of you very much for your kind words. This is an area of his life (he's 22) that she did not know much about, so filling in the details has helped her a lot. She truly appreciates all of the prayers and thoughts being sent there way.

    I will be back to visit him tomorrow morning and then will begin the trip home around 4pm. I will post more when I return home. This has been possibly the hardest thing I have ever done in my life, but I am so glad I did it.

    With love and gratitude,
    MP
  21. You completely missed my point. The point was that having a timer does not guarantee safety, or no one would even die in pink or get caught. And yes, being in the pink a lil does not hurt much, but if you do not pay attention, it is very easy to be defeated by it.

    Anyways, I am not up to forum sparring today.. or for a while. Either way, hope the Masters badges go through well!
  22. I will do my best to find a crazy straw.
  23. Lulipop,

    He was put into hospice not the hospital, it's not exactly the same thing. He was placed there because there was no other choice. He can't currently walk right now, and is fading in and out of reality. Luckily, I did give him some of the advice you mentioned a few months ago. This was extremely sudden. The situation went from bad to omfgbad in about 3 days. I posted because his mom asked me to let people know. And I thought if anyone wanted to say anything, it would be good for them to have the opportunity.

    To all,

    Emails have been pouring in, thank you, I will bring them all with me. I think he will be happy to see them and his mom will feel good that so many people thought of him.
  24. I'm not sure how many if you were aware of the situation.. but I'll lay it all out. Death Conqueror, known by "DC" to many of you has been fighting Hogkins Lymphoma for the past two years. He had been having ups and downs, but still there was hope. For the past while I've been talking to him and his mother a lot. Always praying for a miracle.

    His mother asked me to tell everyone what is going on. Unfortunately, today DC was taken into hospice. The situation is extreme. They estimate that he has about a week left. I'll be flying there tomorrow to say goodbye. If anyone has any messages they would like me to take, you can PM me here or email me at Madame.Pistacio@gmail.com. I'll be happy to deliver them. If anyone wants to send a card or anything, let me know, his mother gave me the address, I can forward it to you.

    I'm so sorry to have to make this post, and I don't really know what to say. I'm devastated and sick to my stomach. I wasn't prepared for this at all. Please, those of you who know who you are, if you don't have anything nice to say, don't post in this thread.
