I am one of the co-writers of the article. This is the only time I'm going to respond to this thread. I don't want to get into any arguments with anyone.
Just wanted to let you know that I am definitely not a shmoe (I hope). 4 year vet. Tons of 50's.
The question about BaBs and Posi was not mine, and I actually pulled it from the final draft we submitted to the editor. He put it back in.

Just checked my order status as it has reopened, and now I am seeing an order for one mousepad.

Here's the process I followed:
1) Go into character creation, make awesome character. Save costume.
2) Don't play it; decide to delete
3) Go into character select screen, hit "Print Screen" on my keyboard
4) Alt-tab over to MS Paint, Edit > Paste; crop accordingly; Save jpg with same name as character .costume file
5) Upload picture to photobucket
6) Come here, copy images into an img tag
7) Open relevant costume file with notepad, copy into a code tag.

One of the things I love best about this game is the character creator. I spend a lot of time making costumes, then never doing anything with them.
Here's a selection of costumes I came up with, saved, and never moved forward on. I'm planning on deleting. Included is the picture, followed by the code.
Fair warning, I have all the Super Boosters, and the parts are scattered throughout. All of these costumes can be made with the standard character creation though (no unlocked content like Vanguard or Roman pieces, etc.)

- An option to do Cel-shaded graphics like Champions has (the ONLY thing I liked about CO was the cel-shading)
- Inspirations for +recharge speed -

Summary: Access the historical database for Paragon City and witness first hand the birth of a reviled villain from his humble beginnings as a DATA researcher. It begins with what's supposed to be a standard body guarding mission, and develops in to something much worse.
This is my second arc. I've taken a lot of the lessons I learned from my first arc ("Tumultuous Timelines") in terms of not just AE mechanics but also story writing ("TT" had a major plot hole in it, if you play through it you might figure it out; I think this one is pretty solid however).
I would recommend at least a group of 2, provided one of those two can heal. It's four missions, but has 2 short maps in the middle. If I had to guess I'd say it'd take an hour of your time at challenge 3.
This is the background story for my main character on Pinnacle (L50 robots/force fields mastermind). That said, I don't think you particularly have to care about whether or not the character is a player character or not. Many of the people I've tested with have said the story is easy to follow and interesting enough to keep going with.

Is there a thread anywhere for promoting your arc? I'd like to give a quick summary of my first one and whatnot but not feel like a jerk trying to push it on people...

Quickie: Is it possible to make mayhem mission style missions in the MA? IE, in a timed mission, to have a bunch of destructible objects that boost the amount of time left to complete the mission?
Second question is, it is possible to have your contacts have weapons etc. visible? One contact I made has a shield, and I'd love for him to be brandishing it. Additionally, is there any other pose you can have them in aside from At Ease? If so... how? -

Is there a character limit on what can be put in the Threat Identification/Whatever-it-is-for-heroes? I ask because I've been able to fit fairly long things in before running out of space, but I've seen people who's stories seem to be quite a bit longer.
I've also noticed some weirdness when copying and pasting large blocks of text from Word/Notepad.
Anyway. Am I perceiving something wrong, or is there a character limit on the profiles? -
Excellent list. I was playing with the tool and was having some issues working it.
Now all you need to add is a self contained preview loader where you can move objects and characters around in 3d
