well to me it smacks of desperation, someway they can show their bosses how much activity the market is getting, boosting numbers so to speak. I also think for the most part they will be "clearance" items. Things that are not selling,but they want to spark interest.

or they could be "nudging" us to buy sets, have one of them "free" then we may go buy the rest of the set.

Of course Diablo 3 comes out next week and I am sure that had nothing to do with it.

what I expect next is COH will have some promocode published in a game mag. that will give some sort of mini-pet.(yes I know about the codes on MMO.com)

there used to be more mobs and such in the game,until someplayer showed with hard numbers that street sweeping was a better xp/inf vs risk/time. The devs responded by making the street mobs fewer and worth less. After a LOT of screaming, they added the 1/2 debt in missons as a bone for players.

Sadly that type of thinking is still in the game,Example the Devs recently wanted to change the Itrials and "Nudge" players away from BAF and LAMDA.by nerfing them when you got your Islots unlocked and have you start doing more UG and Keyes.

One of the problems is you can run 3-4 Bafs in the same amount of time that 1 UG can be run.And not have the large possibility of failure that you do with the UG final Boss.Better

well they do not like to talk about future events, In case they fall thru , that way we can't complain on things we don't know about. not saying it is a bad policy.

well took the survey, did NOT like it asking for my email address, we lose the ability to be more honest in comments, anonymous comments are some times more honest.
also saw a little bit of "nudging " in some of the questions. given the choices, instead of changing your views to fit the information, change the information to fit your views.

i was reminded of a recent ep of undercover bosses, one boss went undercover at a office and the comment was made that the region should have more local advertising. during a break between different offices, the boss said how he felt his way of advertising was better than local. at the next office several states away, one of his top earning office the same suggestion was made. He then at end of show made some money avail to try more local advertising.

my questions that were not on the survey, is why is there not any advertising done for COH?
(If I have missed any please let me know), having a player summit is fine but we are allready your players/customers.

a whole set of summer superhero movies are coming out, will there be any COH ads in the movie houses? I suspect not.Even if they could not afford a video ad, how about a cardboard standup? or even a handout flyer with the tickets?

it will be $$$$ in form of PP, i forsee a big ad blitz,saying words that "Due to high and overwelming requests, we will for a limited time allow you to purchase the XXXX Tier items,but after such and such date,it is going back into our vaults for years"

kind of like Disney's movie ads, and of course they will only give you maybe 1 or 2 weeks at most, to get people to buy points, and purchase before time runs out.

my next question is how long before they go fully free to play,and are able to more money out of players?

ok figured out the problem on the featured page is the 1 of 2 enhancment slots ,I had to go deeper to buy the 2 of 2. bought and got.

Found a small bug with the items,
I went to purchase the extra 10 slots for enhancments,have the points but it will not let me purchase. I purchased a extra 10 slots months ago, and we can get up to 2 extra rows.
but it seems to think you can ONLY purchase this if you have not purchased any before.

are the emotes new?

also I think they will put I23 around the time of the 8 year anniversary of this game. It would make a good marketing ploy.

My 2 cents is that more than likely we will get new powerset next month or closer to the 8th year celerbration of the game. Marketing likes to crow and combine events together.
and for my taste they have hit the point of diminishing returns on vanity pets.

I am guessing that they are waiting until closer to 8 year anniverisery to release, I am currently taking a vacation ina galaxy far far away for a month, to avoid burn out.

So far the players are mostly just raid raid raid and being a bit snobish,some are very nice.

well as now they can charge real cash for respecs ,I suppose that no more freeones.

yes i can understand your frustration, you go on a misson hopping for a purple, you get temps, and not very good ones. and if you need a certain recipe you either have to pay the price in WW/bm or maybe spend real money tobuy at market.

geee a less trusting person would almost think they are doing it to get you to spend real cash. Sorry they would never do that.

yes a lot of my alts sit on low population servers, and i only play 1or so toons I moved a long time ago to more populated server.I would like a way to move both the char and slots to a more populated server so i could play them more often(and buying more slots is not realy a option,i have over a dozen I bought and used on server that I wish i could move)

It would be nice to be able to send ourself either to in game mail or real email , a char file for mids. I know that at 3rd party utility will let us do that, but why not offer it in game?

well with the new MMOs like D3 and SW pushing the limits of of tech,and bring about more of a upgrade of the games like Voice Actors, and such. I can see a new game engine being made. and with it having a lot of new features and more "futureproof" designs needed.

And something like that requires more time to develop .

and the weekly strike force is a lvl 50+,great can not use that for lvling a char.
and most of the others that month are avail for mid lvl chars to lvl off of.

well I for one am sorry they ever got into this kind of selling.they are giving (right or wrong) the impression that all they want to do is seperate us from our money in our wallets. limited time vanity items,over priced items,pandering to the "gambling" urge.

all designed to get us to in addition to a monthly fee, to reach for our credit cards and send money to them.
now that we have the first animial travel power, how long before they flood the market with varations? panther travel power, wolf travel power, XXXXX travel power. each to get us to spend buy PP to purchase.
