You're going to be running out of endurance quickly, and that's even before FA. You should try to get one EndRdzx into most attacks, possibly drop the second ACC since you have FA... That is, if it's a PvE build.

I must sent up some binds to keep some pets on passive/follow (Bodyguard) easily, whilst then allowing others to do stay as aggressive.
[/ QUOTE ]Bodyguard is Defensive/Follow, not passive. -

Sleet is questionable as it will make mobs scatter which can annoy team mates. There are situations it's useful in but my opinion is you're better off taking something else.
[/ QUOTE ]Man, what the hell are you smoking? It's AoE slow, -rech, -def, and most importantly, -RESISTANCE. ANY power with -res should be taken and slotted ASAP. Besides, with the slow, and knockdown, with any decent team the mobs don't have time to scatter. -
A rad needs to have at least 2 of the 3 AoE's before he's a real rad, preferably both. So neutron bomb/irradiate., and then the other, or CC As long as you already have haze.
-
You're at the level where you can take LR, and you don't have EF yet? Man, you sure do need a respec...

Well, at least that's how AoE vs Melee defence was explained to players around the time when defence stacking was the issue at hand... what was that, I4 or I5?

Not AOEs per se, cones and aoes which are more prevailant than you may think, ripper is a cone attack as is throw spines. From corrupter sets dark blast has 4 (3 cones 1 aoe) in primary (Im not not counting nukes btw) 2 in energy blast, 4 in AR, 3 in fire (would ahve sworn this would ahve been more) 2 in ice, 3 in rad blast, 3 in sonic. this is a hell of a lot of attacks you are gimping yourself against by ignoring a specific power.
[/ QUOTE ]One thing about AoE defence though, is that melee cones and PBAoE's count as melee attacks, not AoE, for defence purposes. Thus, for example, ripper will be countered by melee defence. -
AR/Ice has the ice patch+ignite combo, which is just beautiful. Other than that, it doesn't have too much going for it.

But personally I think both of the upgrade powers should be PBAEs, so you could upgrade all 6 bots at once - I really don't see how the extra minute of "timesink" upgrading bots individually balances the archetype in any way.
[/ QUOTE ]It makes the henches harder to get to full strenght mid-fight, and makes it much harder to ghost to boss in certain situations. PBAoE would be too powerful. -

Well from what i have gathered from teaming is that the -regen debuff in Twilight Grasp has no longer a -regen debuff but only a heal and to hit debuff. I am not sure if this is true but people say that in description it says nothing about -regen anymore.
[/ QUOTE ]The -regen was never added in the description, but it is there. -
People tend to think rad is best since it's best known regen debuffer, but the lower recharge of TG and Transfusion make kin and dark much better IMO. Unless LR has way higher values.
-
I could keep an arachnos LT from regenning for 2 minutes with it, that's when I got bored
It is also very helpful on AV fights, but GM's have HUGE regen rate atm, bigger than AV's, so it is propably too much for one debuffer.
But TG definitely has -regen, and not bad one either. -

The door has a little slot in it though, could you target through that?
[/ QUOTE ]I tried, but couldn't.
However, if you have LBAoE damage moves, you can target them right next to the door, and they'll hit people on the other side.
As for ligtning rod, I'd suspect it will still do damage, but not TP you. -
Ironically, my second zombie, who I named Kenny, dies the most

It will be hard to use aid self when you are in the middle
of a moob and tanking, because of the interrupt time in aid self
[/ QUOTE ]The interrupt time is very short, especially with few IntRdx enhancers. -

It's good to take instead of mesmerize, because it offers smashing damage, which will be useful against foes with psi resistance. It's also a fairly decent soft control power.
[/ QUOTE ]
Erm since when did smashing damage get to be better option than psionic damage? I wouldnt dream of ever making a mind toon without mesmerize.. Anyway, I feel that levitate is better option over many ranged attacks from secondary though. The damage of dominators sucks so bad..
[/ QUOTE ]As I said, better against psi-resistant foe
Oh, and happy cake day -

I'd drop resilience since you're not taking tought, and pick revive instead. Also, CP is pretty much a waste for regen, esp. one with stamina.

IIRC, the sets that have been mentioned to be in the works are pirates, and carnival (Not carnies though, apparently

I have a Necro/Dark without Stamina, and I can run Shadowfall, Tactics, Assault and spam heals/holds/fears and not run into any end problems. Things can get a bit dicey with Darkest Night as well, mind, but popping a blue or two or turning off Assault normally sorts it. All my toggles have a single end red slotted in them.
[/ QUOTE ]I find that interesting, seeing as I tend to run out of endurance in harder fights with my necro/dark, who has stamina... -

I honestly dont know what evidence you are basing this 'the defense is better than ever' on? My bubbler is 40, i started him in Nov 05 and only use him now and again. This has given me plenty of first hand experiance of the changes implemented over time and i know for a fact that he has less defense. If you are simply going off the statistics of the new defense cappabilities i can understand, however in actual practise my toon is getting killed far too easily - he used to be able to hold all aggro and not get a scratch, now even aid-self cant rescue him.
[/ QUOTE ]Nov 05 ya say? That was I6 time, after that there's been no nerf to defence, noly buffs.
Only nerfs FF has had (apart for repel change), that I can remember, were in I5, with GDN. -
Forbodyguard to work, you first need to put your henchmen on defensive, and follow. This is best done by creating either a macro or bind with the command "petcom_all defensive follow". Then, whenever you are hit, the game checks which of your henchmen are in range (the radius is same as your inheret power). It then divides the damage you take between you and your henchmen. If there are, say, 5 henchmen in range, you take 2/7 of the damage, and each henchman takes 1/7. So basically, you take as much damage as two henchmen. Defence is applied before the bodyguard effect, and invidual resistances after it.

1) Unless you are a spines regen scrapper you are crap and will die
[/ QUOTE ]Unless you aren't a skilled PvP'er, with a PvP build, you'll lose against another skilled PvP'er with a PvP build.

2) Hide is worthless as every body can see through it
[/ QUOTE ]Hide alone isn't worth much, hide in combination with other +stealth powers is very useful.
[ QUOTE ]
3) SR is useless and as you get hit all the time and don't get a heal so you're just gonna die.
[/ QUOTE ]SR will get hit easily with people who heavily slot accuracy and/or have heavy ToHit buffs, at least when not running elude. If you want to heal yourself, just get aid self.
[ QUOTE ]
4) The 'improvements' to hospitals in PvP zones now mean that most of the action now takes place while waiting for your rest to recharge.
[/ QUOTE ]Agreed, the 1 HP/END is silly. What they tried to accomplish with it did not work, but would work if they made it 1 HP 100% END.
[ QUOTE ]
5) Teleport foe doesn't need line of sight and seems to totally ignore SRs defense.
[/ QUOTE ]It doesn't ignore it, however with proper slotting and buffs the miss chance is low.

6) Heroes are spawn point lhamas just waiting for someone to pop their head over the wall so they can gank em.

It doesn't have accuracy debuff, no power in the game does. It DOES, however, have a ToHit debuff. No idea how strong though.
[/ QUOTE ]
According to the Prima guide. Terrify has no to hit debuff component. You are thinking of Fearsome stare which has a 15%/20% to hit debuff.
[/ QUOTE ]Well, it has allowed ToHit debuff enhancing in the past, so it may have changed recently. I don't have a char with the power right now so can't test it. -

perhaps, but no-one read s the creative forum!- how will the proletariat get to hear of my idea if it is moved?
Plus, i invited peeps to *discuss* the idea...
