IIRC, the defence buff is considerably high, while the other stats are fairly low.

to pose a similar, but slightly different question to the original...
i'm planning to be rolling an ice/ice tank to duo with an ice/ice blaster in the near future. obviously i plan on grabbing chilling embrace, but do people think that taunt would be particularly valuable in such a team? throwing it into the mix at the earliest oppourtunity has me expecting to get my second damage dealing power by level 18. i know that i'm not there to throw the hurt around, but that seems like i won't be carrying my weight much.
obviously a spread-out team tackling a few spawns simultaneously after everything goes to hell needs a tank who can taunt to try and pull everything into order, but if we're likely standing shoulder to shoulder as he blapps and i tank can i be confident that punchvoke and CE will see us through and keep the aggro on me?

Failing that, I'd drop, in this order: Scramble Thoughts, Psychic scream, Psionic Lance, Psionic Tornado, Psychic Wail, Subdue, Will domination, TK Blast.
As for slotting (Assuming stamina and hasten):
Mental Blast: Nothing
Subdue: 1 acc 3 dam
Psionic Lance: 1 acc 3 dam 1 EndRdx 1 Rech/IntRdx
Psychic Scream: 1 acc 3 dam 1 End 1 Rech
TK Blast: 1 acc 3 dam 0-1 rech 0-1 EndRdx
Will Domination: 1 acc 3 dam 1-2 rech 0-1 EndRdx 0-1 Sleep
Psionic Tornade: 1 acc 3 dam 1 rech 1 End
Scramble Thoughts: 1 acc 0-3 Stun 0-2 recharge 0-1 End
Psychic Wail:0-1 Acc 3 Dam 0-3 rech (Possibly stun?) -

[/ QUOTE ]Damn right it is, Spines/Regen is THE ultimate PvE scrapper....Unless you're teaming with few empaths/kins, in which case spines/DA wins. -

yup i know this but as it cannot accept accuracy enhancers (much like a tanks taunt which if memory serves, the taunt effect becomes significantly less if you are trying taunt +8s for example) it will work on a sane lvl of enemies without any problems. maybe i should have warned _max_ not to try it on anything over 8+.....
[/ QUOTE ]I'm pretty sure it can accept accuracy. Also, taunt can now accept accuracy, for PvP purposes. And taunt's duration is lessened against high level foes, but that's just purple patch in effect, ALL power effectiviness is lessened when fighting high levels. -

[/ QUOTE ]Personally, I only put range in the defaault slot, but that's still not enough in some of the biggest zones. The range of recall friend is 10,000 feet. -

TP only needs 3 range, EndRdx is not necessary, especially as an empath since you have RA.
AB provides a HUGE recovery boost, EndMod is unnecessary, 3 rech 3 heal is the optimum slotting.
RA's both cost a decent amount of endurance to activate, and especially recovery aura doesn't really need 3 EndMod.
Fortitude has a BIG ToHit buff, no point putting more than 1 ToHit in it. -
