Just out of interest, what powers do you have right now?

S/L Are most common, and I believe after that the damage types comes as something like (In CoH):Energy, Fire, Negative, Psi, Toxic, Cold.
So Ren would be more useful than Rel. -
Granite, overpowered? Bah, granite is, and will always be gimped, unless they remove all the penalties.

If you want to be a buffbot, this build works. If you want to be active, and utilize knockback, while also doing slight damage, I'd try something like this:

Yup, only affecting self negates all ways to affect foes, including the aura. Of course, if the foe was in the aura when the suppression kicked in, it'll take a few seconds for the last taunt tick to wear off.

Nope, a Blaster's defiance works on inherent powers such as Brawl.
[/ QUOTE ]Ah, true, but defiance works a bit differently, since it doesn't affect the powers directly, but rather grants the blaster a damage buff. -
Personally, I wouldn't bother with sentinel, AFAIK it's not that great of a power.

Well, I'd suggest you get SS+TP as travel power combo. SS comes with hasten (O RLY?), and stacks with shadow fall for invis, while TP provides vertical aspect, and recall friend can be used to position DS next to mobs to fully benefit from it's aura.
Looking at what powers we can pick after getting those 4, three epic powers and stamina, I'd go for:
Twilight Grasp
Tar Patch
DN
Shadow Fall
Fearsome Stare
PG
DS
Charged bolts
Ball lightning
Short circuit
aim
tesla cage
thunderous blast
Howling twilights/zapp -

I think the Psi resistance is handy in PvE and infact Dominators have substantial Psi damage output as wellthough in general it wouldn't be something to worry about in PvP...if you're a villain that is...jeje

AR/Dev blasters don't get to choose either of those. They get a targetting drone which affects damage not at all and er...that's it.

Katana is cheap primary, you'll be fine with QR, can drop stamina until 30's, and won't really need it even then, unless you don't want to slot EndRdx in attacks, or want to run FA.

Whatever you do, go /psiiiiiiiii....
Dark/ is a very strong, and it's not nearly as common as kin, which can make you more wanted (Dark is not available as a controller secondary, thus it's rarity). It offers strong defensive debuffs and controls, as well as decent -res (which you can stack), very powerful AoE heal centered on user, and a pet that also heals, controls and debuffs.
Kin, on the other hand, offers fast recharge speeds, high damage output, ally buffs, but nothing to enhance survivability, apart for damage debuffs.
As for secondary, you can't go wrong with Psi, it's pink, it looks and sounds funky and has lots of good attacks including the best snipe in game. -
All-arounder build aimed at levelling solo and in teams, plus PvP, mainly at L50, but possible earlier as well.

If you have 'Supress extra player FX' enabled in your gfx&sound options, you will only see those power effects on other people that can directly affect your character. It's not on by default in PvP zones spesifically, but there has been a bug for quite a while now which causes it to be set to enabled whenever you log on.

Personally, I consider the role of the tank to gather a group of foes that's close to the aggro cap, if the team is heavy on AoE damage, OR keeping the AV nobody else can. Or, of course, keep the team alive if the team composition is such that there are not enough support characters to do so. -

[/ QUOTE ]He was either affected by PvP mez suppression (Kicks in every once in a while, I'm unsure of the mechanics), or heavily boosted with CM/Clarity/somesuch, since AFAIK no solo scrapper can achieve the protection needed to take 2 dominate-boosted confuses and not get affected. -
ED took away the strength of AR/Dev, and the combo hasn't been given anything to fix that....yet.

[/ QUOTE ]Only using the nuke for final spawn is a waste, I'd recommend 3 dam 3 rech, and using it on the next spawn everytime it comes up.
