Wrong Max, nrg is better. And in PvP it simply doesnt have more damage. Only n00bs take a full melee chain and nrg has much better utility, powerboost, boost range, conserve power.


[/ QUOTE ]NRG is less damaging, due to the fact that elec has more damaging powers. Also, power sink owns conserve. Depending on primary, shocking grasp can be more useful than power boost.

They're both good sets, and in PvP /NRG tends to have the advantage. However, I was merely stating that /elec is more damaging, which it is.

Remember though, that weave is only melee/ranged defence, at least IIRC

If you're planning to take weave AND aid self, go for it. If you're planning to take weave OR aid self, I'd really recommend aid self.

It depends a lot on the secondary. Something like dark is very strong for soloing, while something like sonic is less so.

Trust me, it does increase XPOT. Also, you shouldn't be comparing it to the pet powers, since it's not the power that increases your damage considerably. That power is terrify. (Granted that after the introduction of the abomination-that-is-containment, mind is weaker on damage side due to not having much to set up containment.)

I would be interested, but my subscription runs out on the 19th and I'm not sure if I'll be renewing it before I8/Fixed I7.

Ice/Elec will be end-heavy until 36. It eases up a bit at L20 and 22 (Stamina and SO's), but it only really stops at L36, when you have slotted power sink.

[/ QUOTE ]Stalkers when hidden have a very high AoE defence, so quills isn't a 100% way of stopping them. Slotted with 3 acc it will catch sometimes though, and make you a less popular target.

I don't know why people say this, I have a Spines/Regen, and, although he's great in PvP, I don't see what makes them 'the best' according to most, the slow doesn't seem to be too big, and it's mainly AoE based, so the last power is a cone (not much higher than Lunge damage really), which sucks compared to something like Golden Dragonfly...

With last patch, there was a 'scream' sound effect added to all powers that have the 'pushing head forwards' animation. It's presumably a bug and will be fixed at a future date.

Because I didn't have any powers I could justify dropping for extra pool powers.
