there are some young kids that can't play because there parents don't wanna spent money every month on a game.
[/ QUOTE ]
CoX is now a 16+ rated game. Kids that young should not be playing it.
[/ QUOTE ]
and does a 16 year old man not count as a kid?, by Europe standard you are no kid after you turn 18
[/ QUOTE ] They'd count as a child, but not as a "young kid". Read the original quote before you comment on something.
FWIW though, the 16+ is a recommendation, not a restriction.

Most of the gameplay in GW (as I understand it) comes from PvP, which means that there is absolutely no need for content updates. The 'fun' comes from ganking your fellow players.
[/ QUOTE ]
that's funny, around 60% of all GW is PVE player, 30% is pvp and pve and the small 20% only does PVP.
[/ QUOTE ]Nothing shows you're making up statistics like percentages adding up to 110% -

And the cost is purely so that those poor saps who have to ravel to buy time cards, don't feel like suckers for having the little freebie thing that they get, for all the hassale of having to hunt down time cards in an age where shops only tend to stock them for the most popular games, given away for free?
[/ QUOTE ]Or because the cards are somewhat more costly than the equivalent time of subscription? They come with the full game too, IIRC. -
[ QUOTE ]
This is where my head needs rewiring cause those 7 would only get the same xp that they would get if they were operating a +1 mission on their own level.
[/ QUOTE ]They'll kill far more mobs in far less time. -

Yes, the explosion power was, indeed, a no-brainer... i.e. it's a glorious roleplayer griefing tool which the developers have handed to every jackass who chooses to buy it. We can but hope the novelty wares off soon.
[/ QUOTE ]Is it somehow worse than any other power, especially PBAoE nukes?
[/ QUOTE ]
Not at all, MaX. But RPers don't drop their nukes five times a night after they get them at L32/38. Yet it happened last night, for some reason.
If someone did drop their nuke five times in a single night, we'd be slating them, too.
[/ QUOTE ]Well, since people don't do it with nukes, doesn't it seem likely that people won't do it with the self-destruct power either, once it's no longer the New And Cool™ thing. -
[ QUOTE ]
From start to finish, willpower is a much more attractive and player friendly set. Even down to the fact its glowy toggles are much more subdued than Invuls Disco ball effects.
[/ QUOTE ]Most players like shiny things you know. -
[ QUOTE ]
So how can you power level on that basis? Am i missing something?
[/ QUOTE ]Like the fact that a few L50's can kills stuff 10 times faster than a full team of L15's? Yeah, you are. -

Rarist powerset. I don't think I have ever seen any blasters Ice/Dev, Sonic/Dev, AR/Ice.
[/ QUOTE ]I've seen all of those, and have an AR/Ice myself. -

People entering a mission and immediately AFKing can annoy me, especially if they take a while, after a few minutes I tend to start asking if they're back yet and so on.
[/ QUOTE ]I find the opposite to be true, especially if there's someone else on the team thinking we shouldn't start without the guy standing outside since they'll miss XP. -
[ QUOTE ]
On Paragonwiki it says that both those TFs are Level 45-50
[/ QUOTE ]That's the level range for players to enter it, not the actual TF's level. -
[ QUOTE ]
Didn't we get some stats a while ago for the most popular ATs? I wonder if they've done something similar for the power sets?
[/ QUOTE ]The devs have the stats, certainly, but those haven't been published. -
[ QUOTE ]
If a level 10 could make their way to Peregrine Island and still be in with a fighting chance against the white mobs they come across, a lot of the sense of "scary place for the big boys" is taken away.
[/ QUOTE ]It should probably be pointed out that all mobs with the scaling code still have a level, and while the damage they deal to a player of a lower level is scaled down, the damage a low level player deals to them is not scaled up. So a L10 character would still beat L10 mobs much easier than L50's. -

Ask people and how many will say they are aware that men can get breast cancer?
[/ QUOTE ]I'd think that's one of the reasons it's called the breast cancer awareness day, ya? -
[ QUOTE ]
And you really think a full team of lowbies with only one or two 50s in there are gonna stand up for very long in a 50s mission?
[/ QUOTE ]People like you, who (as you've said yourself) don't really care much about game mechanics and numbers? No.
People who know how to make efficient characters and play them well? Yes. -

The radius is the same.
[/ QUOTE ]
Mud pots radius grows when in granite form tho
[/ QUOTE ]It doesn't, nor is that even possible in the engine. (OK, it might be, kinda, but it'd be quite complicated). -

There is no "Cartel".
[/ QUOTE ]Indeed, there's just a clique.
I still don't know if I'm in it or not though. -
[ QUOTE ]
No, I don't think I have any tact.
[/ QUOTE ]It's quite overrated. -

What would be the point in advertising in Greece? there is no greek localisation, no greek GMs, Greece has a tiny population anyway. Face it, you aint worth thier while.
[/ QUOTE ]
PRAF, is this thread the place for this stuff?
[/ QUOTE ]For facts? I mean, it is mostly true for a lot of european countries. The populations aren't all that high, and the amount of people with a sufficient grasp of english/german/french to play the game and enjoy the community is much smaller than that. Spending money for advertising there that could be spent in the US, or one of the large EU countries, just doesn't make much sense (assuming your advertising budget isn't excessive like, say WoW's) -
[ QUOTE ]
But if you look at the gross takings for superhero movies you will see that the US far outstrips the whole of Europe added together.
[/ QUOTE ]Which also applies to several other markets, including (AFAIK) videogames. -
[ QUOTE ]
If you are here, chances are you like superhero comics. However, in the USA, just about every kid is brought up them (slight exagaration).
[/ QUOTE ]While superhero comicbooks aren't that common in europe, the characters themselves are still fairly well known, and through them a certain part of the culture is as well.
There's probably more people with a fairly decent stereotype of a superhero than of how elves are generally depicted in modern fantasy. -

NCSoft seems to have enough money to spend Richard Garriot a flight to ISS station
[/ QUOTE ]Isn't he paying for the trip himself? Oh, and it's either the ISS, or the International Space Station
